The 2017 National SJP Conference – A Showcase of Anti-Semites and Terror Supporters

The Canary Mission Report on the 2017 National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) Conference exposes 90 individuals who gathered together on October 27 – 29 at the University of Houston (UH), Texas.

Organizers, panelists and attendees were found to have posted anti-Semitism, incitement, threats of violence, support for terror and hatred of Israel across social media.

The report also exposes 7 NSJP Conference attendees from previous years, among whom similar hateful rhetoric in their social media was found.

University of Houston Again!

Of particular note is National SJP’s shocking choice of venue for their 2017 conference.

In January 2017 Canary Mission released a damning Report on the University of Houston (UH). The exposé identified various student activists with SJP UH who had posted hatred of Jews and Israel, praise for Hitler, mockery of the Holocaust and threats of violence against Jews on social media.

National SJP failed to denounce the anti-Semitism from activists in SJP UH. Instead, in a shameful display of solidarity, they chose to hold their 2017 conference on the UH campus.

Taher Herzallah has  called for violence against Israelis and has been arrested twice for his anti-Israel disruptions in congressional and academic forums. Herzallah acts as a liaison between members of SJP and the Muslim Students Association (MSA) on campuses across North America and helps these groups procure grants, materials and speakers, set up programs and organize activities. Samer Alhato is an activist with SJP at Saint Xavier University (SJP SXU). Alhato has spread anti-Semitism, supported the terror group Hamas, justified terrorism and glorified a terrorist. Alhato attended the National SJP conference in 2016 and 2017. See more click here.

Hossam Gamea is a member of SJP at the City University of New York- Hunter College (Hunter SJP) Facebook group, “ Hunter Students for Justice in Palestine. ” Gamea also co-founded the Islamic Movement for Justice (IMJ) in 2013 and remains on the IMJ committee. Dunia Ghanimah has supported terrorists, spread incitement and promoted hatred of Israel on Twitter. Ghanimah is the president of SJP at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (SJP UIUC) and is also and an active promoter of Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) against Israel. Brant Roberts has identified with anti-Israel militants and spread Israel-hatred, on social media. Roberts is a student activist with SJP at University of Houston ( SJP UH). Roberts also attended the National SJP conference in 2016 and 2017. See more click here.

Rawan Eid [Rawan Tayoon, Rawan Masri] supports numerous terrorists, has  posted violent tweets,  promoted anti-Semitic propaganda and  mocked liberal zionists. Masri tweeted that she was president of  SJP at University of Southern California (USC SJP) in June of 2017. Masri is the  co-founder of  Palestinians and Jews Decolonize (PJD) which calls for “dismantling the Zionist colonial project” through “direct radical actions.” See more click here.

Leilah Abdennabi has promoted violence and disrupted a campus event featuring former Israeli soldiers at the University of Minnesota (UMN). Abdennabi is an activist with SJP and has spread hatred of Zionists and Israel on social media. Abdennabi attended the National SJP conference in 2016 and 2017. See more click here.

Mohammed Nabulsi was the president of the Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSC) at the University of Austin (UT Austin). The PSC is an alternative name for SJP. Nabulsi attended the National SJP conference in 2016 and 2017. See more click here.

Reem Zaitoon incited violence against Zionists and tweeted hatred of Jews as an activist with SJP at Florida State University (FSU SJP). As of October 2017, Zaitoon’s Facebook page said she was “studying International Affairs at Florida State University,” where she started in August of 2015. Rani Allan is the founder of the Palestine Solidarity Alliance (PSA) of Hunter College (Hunter). PSA runs events linked to SJP, like Israeli Apartheid Week and Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement campaigns. Allan was denied entry into Israel on July 24, 2017 and in January 2015. Nora Abushaaban is an affiliate of SJP and participated in an anti-Israel demonstration, co-organized by SJP and the Muslim Student Association (MSA). Abushaaban has been added to a list of “Antisemitic Reported Users” on Twitter. She has spread anti-Semitism, likened Israel to Nazi Germany and defended the terror organization Hamas. Sarah Abdulmooti is an activist with SJP at the University of Houston (SJP UH). She was also an organizer of the 2017 National SJP Conference (NSJP) that promoted the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. At the University of Northern Florida (UNF) she co-founded the SJP chapter, where she was a president of the group, and she also founded the SJP chapter at University of Central Florida (SJP UCF). Amanda Jamal was the treasurer of SJP in 2016-2017 at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (SJP John Jay), part of City University of New York (CUNY). Jamal has posted anti-Semitic comments on Twitter, demonized Israel and facilitated/a> anti-Israel events. See more click here.
