Also on November 20, 2013, Habehh tweeted: “So in Brooklyn they changed it up to where you have to KO [knock out] a yahoodi [Jew].”

Promoting Incitement

On July 21, 2017, Habehh tweeted: “Tomorrow in Times Square #SaveAlAqsa #HandsOffAlAqsa.” The tweet advertised an “ALL OUT FOR AL AQSA” rally in Times Square, New York City on July 22, 2017, sponsored by AMP.

The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state. Such propaganda has led to multiple periods of violence against Israeli civilians.

On July 14, 2017, terrorists murdered two Israeli police officers outside the entrance to the Al-Aqsa compound, reportedly following claims that the Al-Aqsa Mosque was in danger. In response to the terror attack, Israel installed metal detectors and security cameras at the entrance to the holy site, which the authorities later removed, after further rioting and escalation in violence.

On September 18, 2015, Habehh tweeted: “PROTEST IN NYC TODAY 5PM IN FOR THE AQSA. SPREAD THE WORD AND COME OUT #HandsOffAlAqsa #AlAqsaUnderAttack.” The tweet advertised a “Hands Off Al-Aqsa Rally” later that day in Times Square, sponsored by AMP.

On September 16, 2015, Habehh posted on Facebook: “For the past 4 Days the Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem has been attacked by Zionist settlers and soldiers alike. They not only destroy and burn parts of the mosque but attack the worshippers inside whether they be men or women young or old…On account of this, clashes have been erupting all over Palestine…”

On September 13, 2015, masked Palestinian rioters barricaded themselves inside the Al Aqsa Mosque. They set off fireworks, starting a small fire, and threw stones and debris stored inside the mosque at Israeli police. The police later found pipe bombs the rioters had prepared to launch at Jewish visitors to the Temple Mount plaza.

Support for Terrorists (PFLP, Hamas, PIJ, Hezbollah)

On July 8, 2018, Habehh tweeted: “Today marks the anniversary of the assassination of Palestinian novelist and intellectual Ghassan Kanafani. Zionists showed in this instance that one of the most powerful forms of resistance Palestinians have is education and that they won’t tolerate it…” The tweet included a quote from Kanafani. Habehh then tweeted: “...check out his ‘Letter from Gaza’. / Truly amazing..”

Kanafani was a leading member and spokesperson for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) during the terrorist organization’s early years. Kanafani announced the PFLP’s responsibility for the Lod Airport Massacre of May 1972 and was linked to the airport attackers. The attack killed 26 people and wounded 80 others.

Anti-Israel activists use the term “resistance” to refer to violence and terror perpetrated against Israeli civilians and their allies. It is used to glorify anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence. Anti-Israel activists chant slogans such as: “Resistance by any means necessary!” and “Resistance is justified when people are occupied!” in response to terror attacks.

On March 13, 2015, Habehh tweeted: “There wouldn’t be a hamas if zionists stayed back in their real homes in europe / #AskHamas.”

Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 7] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.

On March 13, 2015, Habehh tweeted: “Hamas should make me their official PR dude.”

On September 22, 2015, Habehh tweeted: “Two Palestinian youth murdered today by the IDF in Khalil. Left Hadeel hashlamun (17) right Diya Talahmeh (21).”

In September 2015, Hadeel Al-Hashlamun was shot after she reportedly attempted to stab Israeli soldiers. She later died of her wounds.

Diyaa Talahmeh, a 23-year-old member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist organization, attempted to throw an explosive device at Israeli security forces in September 2015. The device detonated early, killing Talahmeh.

On January 28, 2015, Habehh tweeted: “HEZBOLLAH KILLS AT LEAST 4 ISRAELI SOLDIERS / #GoodMorning.”

Hezbollah has long been known as an anti-Semitic and genocidal terror organization dedicated to destroying Israel.

On September 4, 2014, Habehh tweeted: “‘...People used to make me feel ashamed to say I like Hamas in the past. But now I happily say it ☺️’ / I’ve always said it tbh.”

Calling for Intifada (Violent Uprising)

On October 18, 2015, Habehh tweeted: “Palestine Rally in the heart of NYC / #ThirdIntifada #FreePalestine.”

In October 2015, there was an upsurge in violence across Israel incited by Palestinian political and religious leaders. The wave of stabbings, known as the “Knife Intifada,” was characterized by young Palestinians throughout the country stabbing and attempting to stab Israeli civilians.

Since the early 2000s, the term “intifada,” which translates from Arabic as “uprising” or “insurrection,” has carried the connotation of violence.

On October 16, 2015, Habehh tweeted: “ALL THOSE IN THE NYC AREA COME OUT AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT #FreePalestine #ThirdIntifada.” The tweet included an event flyer titled: “SUPPORT OUR TROOPS / SOLIDARITY WITH THE PALESTINIAN UPRISING: Counter Rally to a Zionist Protest” co-sponsored by NYC Students for Justice in Palestine in Times Square.

On October 19, 2014, Habehh tweeted: “If i ever got the chance to go to Palestine, especially if it’s during an intifada, I’d drop everything for it.”

Hatred of Israel

On October 1, 2014, Habehh tweeted: “ISIS and JSIL are the same thing.”

The hashtag “#JSIL” means “Jewish State in the Levant” and is used as a way of comparing Israel to the Islamic State (ISIS), also known as the Islamic State in the Levant (ISIL).

On May 19, 2016, Habehh tweeted: “Nothing is a bigger joke than when people use the holocaust (ethnic cleansing) to justify Zionism (ethnic cleansing).”

Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture.

On February 11, 2018, Habehh tweeted: “...Supporting Zionism makes you a white supremacist who believes in genocide and ethnic cleansing...”

On April 6, 2018, Habehh tweeted: “Palestinians burning tires to block out Zionist snipers view while they protest #GreatReturnMarch 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸✊🏼

On March 30, 2018, about 30,000 Gazans approached Israel’s border fence to join in “Land Day Protests,” which were also called the “March of Return.” The march was organized and funded by Hamas as a campaign of violent protests to spotlight the “right of return,” a policy discredited as a means to eliminate Israel.

During the 2018 March of Return, Hamas routinely directed its members to infiltrate the border between Gaza and Israel to train for an attack on Israeli communities in the area, leading to the October 7, 2023 massacre. For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.

On July 12, 2018, Habehh tweeted:“Amazing report by Visualizing Palestine on how Israeli Apartheid has destroyed Palestinian soccer... #WorldCup18.” The tweet included a poster that identified a dozen players by name and age, from 2007 to 2018, with the legend: “...Israeli violations limit their ability to practice this sport.”

On July 28, 2018, Habehh tweeted: “zionism is white supremacy.”

AMP

American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) was founded by UC Berkeley Professor Hatem Bazian as a vehicle to generate mainstream support in the United States for the Palestinian national cause.

On its website, the organization lists Bazian as the chairman of its national board and describes itself as “a national education and grassroots-based organization, dedicated to educating the American public about Palestine and its rich cultural, historical and religious heritage.”

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has accused AMP of promoting “extreme anti-Israel views and has at times provided a platform for anti-Semitism under the guise of educating Americans” about Palestinians. The ADL further stated that AMP is directly involved in campus-based anti-Israel activity through Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).

Prior to founding the AMP in 2006, Dr. Bazian created SJP together with fellow UC Berkeley Professor Snehal Shingavi in 2001. The close working relationship between AMP and SJP has been documented several times over the years by several organizations, including NGO Monitor and StandWithUs

In addition to providing financial, public relations and legal assistance to SJP, AMP has also been accused of having connections to Hamas. The AMP national board includes former members of both the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP) and Holy Land Foundation (HLF), both of which were found liable for aiding and abetting Hamas. The IAP was founded by Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook, a senior member of Hamas.
