Ramsey Abdeljaber

On October 28, 2023, Abdeljaber led [00:00:14] chants calling for Israel’s destruction at a pro-Hamas rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The protest was organized by the anti-Israel group PPC.

At the rally, Abdeljaber led [00:00:14] the crowd in chanting: “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free!” and [00:00:25] in Arabic: “From the River to The Sea, Palestine is Arab!”

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.

Abdeljaber reposted an October 7, 2023 post on X that read: “The era of the fedayeen [martyr warriors] returns and Zionism reaps what it has sown for over a century, inshallah [god willing] this marks a new beginning for the resistance.”

Among Palestinians and anti-Israel activists, the term “resistance” is a euphemism for nationalistic terror and is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and antisemitic violence.

Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture. Zionism is a core part of the identity of most Jews.

On October 8, 2023, Abdeljaber posted on Facebook: “F**k Israel. Palestinians have the right to defend themselves against 75 years of violent settler-colonial martial law, apartheid, arbitrary acts of violence and displacement, and constant acts of humiliation. Just because western countries helped establish ‘Israel’ doesn’t mean that it was ordained by God and doesn’t give them the right to murder whoever they want because they feel like it. F**k Israel.”

The modern State of Israel was founded 75 years earlier, in 1948.

On Saturday, October 7, 2023, approximately 2,900 heavily armed Hamas terrorists breached Israel’s border with Gaza. They executed numerous war crimes on civilians, including mass murder, beheadings of children, rape of men and women, torture, kidnappings and mutilation.

Hamas broadcast videos of their butchery on social media, often to victims’ accounts for families to see. Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron.” As of November 10, 2023, approximately 1,200 Israelis, the vast majority of them civilians, were murdered during the attacks. Hamas kidnapped 242 Israelis, including at least 30 children. At least 3,500 people were wounded, many severely.

A terrorist detained by Israel admitted he raped an Israeli woman when he broke into a kibbutz house during the October 7, 2023 attack. In March 2024, a former hostage of Hamas publicly stated she was sexually abused and tortured while in captivity.

On October 13, 2023, Abdeljaber posted on X, calling the reports of the October 7 Hamas massacre “blatantly fabricated news and genocide apologia.”

Denial of the Hamas war crimes of October 7, 2023, among anti-Israel activists has been likened to Holocaust denial among neo-Nazis.

On October 27, 2023, Abdeljaber posted on Facebook: “US senate endorsing Zionist propaganda (that’s already been debunked multiple times over) and the repression of both the freedoms of speech and assembly. Be careful out there everyone- they’re trying to usher in a new era of McCarthyism.”

In his post, Abdeljaber shared screenshots of S.Res. 418, a resolution “Condemning Hamas and antisemitic student activities on college campuses in the United States.” The resolution was approved on October 26, 2023.

On November 10, 2023, Abdeljaber was featured in an Instagram video, in which he referred [00:00:07] to the reports of Hamas’ atrocities as “stupid f**king bullsh*t narratives about babies being beheaded that were debunked by the people who spread those lies.”

Hamas terrorists murdered Israeli Jewish babies during its October 7, 2023, terror attacks. Some of the babies were beheaded and some were murdered in front of their parents.

On November 9, 2023, Abdeljaber was filmed [00:00:01] on the Penn campus ripping down posters of Israeli civilians kidnapped by Hamas terrorists and held hostage in Gaza.

On October 26, 2023, Abdeljaber posted on Facebook a photo of then-U.S. president Joe Biden captioned with the words: “WE DON’T NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS. WE FINANCE THEM!” In his post, Abdeljaber wrote: “Don’t forget recruit, train, and send them off to war, too.”

On October 14, 2023, Abdeljaber posted on Facebook: “If you stand with Israel, you stand with terrorism. If you stand with the USA you stand with terrorism. Terrorism is and always has been the way of the settler colonists as well as their projection of those practices onto anyone who fights back in kind. F**k the west and all of their terror apologia.”

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Student Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
