Hesham Annamer

Overview

Hesham Annamer has glorified Hitler, called Israel’s Prime Minister a modern day Hitler and compared Israel to Nazis. He has also tweeted violent hatred of Zionists and spread homophobia.  

Annamer is a member of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at UTK (UTK MSA). In April 2016, Annamer was a nominee running for the position of board member of UTK MSA.

Annamer was a sophomore at the University of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK), majoring in Chemical Engineering in 2016.

As of June 2019, Annamer’s LinkedIn page said he was a “Biomedical student at the University of Memphis (U of M)” majoring in “Biomedical/Medical Engineering” and slated to graduate in 2020.  

Glorifying Hitler

On April 20, 2014, Annamer tweeted — "Hitler had alot of great ideas. We need a guy like that in the white house."

On January 25, 2014, Annamer tweeted — “Tbh, Adolf Hitler was that nigga. On God them history books have a nigga fucked up.”

On October 31, 2013, Annamer tweeted — "@WhatTheFFacts: Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian, and had only ONE testicle." All hail Hitler ”

On October 7, 2013, Annamer tweeted — "I mean, Hitler wasn't that bad of a guy if you got to know him. #unpopularopinions."

Calling Israel’s Prime Minister a "Modern Day Hitler"

On October 22, 2015, Annamer tweeted — "Netanyahu is a modern day Hitler."

On August 2, 2015, Annamer tweeted — "Give it a few years, @netanyahu will be recognized as the modern Adolf Hitler."

On April 7, 2015, following the Israeli election results, responding to a tweet by U.S. senator Ted Cruz congratulating Benjamin Netanyahu on his victory, Annamer tweeted — "Modern day Adolf Hitler."

Comparing Israel to the Nazis

On March 2, 2015, Annamer tweeted — "IDF is the modern Nazi party...america is still riding their d**ks."

On August 1, 2015, Annamer tweeted — "Which is very ironic because Israel is doing to Palestine exactly what Germany did to the Jews."

On March 18, 2015, Annamer tweeted — "@MohanadBest germany funds israel because of the wrongs germany has done to the jews. Jews will do the same for palestinians one day."

On March 2, 2015, Annamer tweeted — "Irony: Jews almost wiped out by nazis. Palestine almost wiped out by Israel."

Violent Zionist-Hatred

On April 7, 2015, Annamer retweeted a tweet by virulent anti-Semitic UTK student Mohamed Ali who wrote — "I feel so incredibly irritable right now. No idea why...Just feel like kicking a Zionist tbh."

Homophobic Remarks

On April 21, 2014, Annamer tweeted — "The national anthem is gay af' & so is the pledge. Wtf am i pledging for? I want to go back to sleep."

On March 8, 2014, Annamer tweeted — "My little brother was facetiming one of his little fag friends & i was talking. Dude was like ‘who's that in the background?’"

On May 28, 2014, Annamer tweeted — "‘@baddiedejjj: @ArabN199a my man Assam! he's still a fag 

UTK MSA

During Annamers’ time as a member of UTK MSA, its leadership and general membership has been fraught with other virulent anti-Semites, Hitler and Nazi sympathizers, homophobes and bigots. These individuals propagate Jew-hatred, often — but not always— under the guise of attacking "Israelis" and “Zionists.”

On June 12, 2013, fellow UTK MSA member, Mohamed Ali — who ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head in 2016— tweeted: "you feggity feg feg. I have so much sweg on my dik biches melt for me.... — Briana why u such a salty fag lol."

On May 9. 2013, Eyad Hijer, a fellow UTK MSA member, tweeted — "‘@ogmcphee: @eyadhijer @iammusick I'd call him daddy’ of course you would you faggot."

UTK MSA Member - Spreading Anti-Black Racism

On October 15, 2014, fellow UTK MSA member Eyad Hijer tweeted a quote from another UTK student Jesse West that read: "...Everyone pray for my sister. Nothing's wrong with her, she just likes black guys."

UTK MSA Leader - Demonizing White People

On March 9, 2012, Sonya Hadjerioua, a 2016 executive board member of UTK MSA, tweeted — "When I think of green eyes I think of white ppl and when I think of white ppl think of HITLER @ayat0315."

Aspiring UTK MSA Leaders - Praising Hitler and Promoting Jew-Hatred

Fellow UTK MSA member, Eyad Hijer on July 17, 2014 tweeted to a Jewish person — "‘...I already hate you. You dirty filthy Jew. All your people do is f***ed s**t up. Wish hitler was still around to show you guys."

On December 27, 2015 — in response to a tweet that read : "The most morally army in the world, the Israeli army Leave A Comment !" — Hijer tweeted: “This is why I hate Jews.”

On August 29, 2012, fellow UTK MSA member Mohamed Ali, who ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head, tweeted — "Had to write about a leader for DCL class. Wrote about Hitler. Cuz he's a boss."

On March 15, 2014, Ali tweeted: "Im gonna put #PeaceInTheMiddleEast, #ThotNation, &#FreePalestine at the end of my senior quote. The last 1 as a f**k u 2 the Jewish teachers."

On July 31, 2013, Ali tweeted — "Make like a Jew and take control."

Stori Nuri — a co-president of UTK MSA and president of SJP UTK on January 22, 2015, tweeted — "‘Jew test: throw a pen and if they pick it up they're a Jew’.” 

On June 21, 2013, fellow UTK MSA member Afeef Youssef Kamah tweeted a meme featuring an anti-Semitic caricature of a Jew with a big, hooked nose. The meme, known as the "Happy Merchant," originally appeared in a racist and anti-Semitic piece promoting a world without Jews and Blacks — comparing them, respectively, to rats and cockroaches. Youssef Kamah tweeted the meme along with the comment — “@jayomarion @AbdelRahmanM OHH WE ARE FRIENDS…”

Aspiring UTK MSA Leaders - Propagating Anti-Semitic Conspiracy Theories

On July 27, 2012, fellow UTK MSA member Mohamed Ali — who ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head — tweeted: "Zion or Zionism, is the belief that Jews are the rightful inhabitants or Israel/Palestine. Lol Illuminati."

On July 5, 2014, Ali tweeted — "When it comes down to it, Israel is the world's super power, not the USA. They control everything behind the curtains...they control so much from the film industry to franchises to pentagon communications to Wall Street to White House lobbies."

On the same day, Ali tweeted — "I'm not surprised. America d**krides Israel so hard. They're scared. Israel controls them."

On June 17, 2013, Ali tweeted — "I feel like all the current problems in the world are linked to the U.S, Israel, & all their d**kriding countries- most of Europe."

Ebad Hussain, the 2016-2017 treasurer of UTK MSA tweeted, on August 9, 2014— "In America you can criticize God, but you cannot criticize Israel. To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you cannot criticize."

Aspiring UTK MSA Leader - Spreading Hatred of Israel and Zionists

Stori Nuri — a co-president of UTK MSA and president of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at UTK. (SJP UTK) — tweeted on April 6, 2016: "Your daily reminder that Israel is a piece of s**t."

UTK MSA Tayseer Seminary Liaison - Comparing Israel to Nazis

On July 21, 2014, Tayseer Seminary’s liaison to UTK MSA, Abdalla Husain — who serves in 2016 to link MSA with other community efforts in Knoxville — compared Israel to Nazis, tweeting — "Like father like son. Germany in the 30s and 40s is Israel now."

MSA

The MSA was  established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations." 

The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.

The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
