Overview

Afeef Youssef Kamah was arrested in Knox County, Tennessee on June 8, 2013. A mugshot of Youssef Kamah taken by police was uploaded to Mugshots.com. The following day Youssef Kamah tweeted — “Used to say f**k the police, now i say f**k going to jail.”

Youssef Kamah is a member of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) at UTK (UTK MSA).

Youssef Kamah is a student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), majoring in Supply Chain Management.

"Terrorizing On Campus"

On January 24, 2013, Youssef Kamah’s friend, Mohamed Emara tweeted a photo of himself with Youssef Kamah sitting in a car wearing kaffiyehs masking their faces. The tweet read — "Terrorizing on campus @finopacino @TheAladdin."

On the same day, Youssef Kamah tweeted a similar photo of the two of them that read — "It's understood I do it for my hood!!"

Support for the Terrorist Organizations Hamas and Hezbollah

On August 27, 2014, Youssef Kamah tweeted — "@asalem123 I’m from a family of both Sunni and Shia and I am with hezbollah and Hamas till I die homie, so watch what you say bro."

The day before a July 18, 2014 anti-Israel demonstration Youssef Kamah tweeted — "The ground invasion will be an advantage to Hamas." Youssef Kamah’s tweet referred to Israel’s beginning of a ground offensive to destroy tunnels built by Hamas to infiltrate into Israel.

At the demonstration, Youssef Kamah tweeted — “Death before dishonor #FreePalestine.”

Two days after the demonstration, on July 20, 2014, he tweeted — "Hamas is stronger than before #mashAllah."

Hamas is designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, Canada, the European Union, Australia, Israel, Egypt and Japan.

Iranian backed, Lebanese based, Hezbollah is designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department.

Promoting Terrorist Violence

On January 5, 2014, Youssef Kamah promoted rock throwing, he tweeted — "The deadliest stones in the world are in the hands of the Palestinian people, iA INSHALLAH I'll have the honor of picking one up."

Palestinian rock-throwing has proven deadly — to Arabs mistaken for Jews by the rock throwers, as well as children like 4-year-old Adele Bitton.

On January 5, 2013, Youssef Kamah tweeted to another Twitter user named Mohamed Emara "@MoeMara22 f**k you fagmara."

On January 29, 2013, Youssef Kamah tweeted — "@ArabMulababy No Homo we can go together”

Spreading Anti-Semitic Content on Twitter

On June 21, 2013, Youssef Kamah tweeted a drawing of an anti-Semitic caricature of a Jew with a big, hooked nose. The meme, known as the "Happy Merchant," originally appeared in a racist and anti-Semitic piece promoting a world without Jews and Blacks — comparing them to rats and cockroaches. Youssef Kamah tweeted the meme with the comment — “@jayomarion @AbdelRahmanM OHH WE ARE FRIENDS…”

On January 5, 2013, in a Twitter discussion, Youssef Kamah tweeted — "@Lilo_Ray26 lol he's Jewish his words mean nothing."

On June 25, 2013, Youssef Kamah tweeted — "‘@UberFacts: Banging your head against a wall burns about 150 calories an hour.’ Ha Jews."

Blaming the Jews for Al Qaeda’s 9/11 Attacks

On February 11, 2014, in response to a tweet by fellow UTK MSA executive board member Sonya Hadjerioua and fellow UTK MSA member Omar Mitoubsi about the 9/11 2001 terror attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon by Al Qaeda, Youssef Kamah tweeted — "@sonyahadj1 @TheReaITruths @omarmitoubsi95 also all the Jews didn't report to work that day."

Telling Israelis to Return to Poland

On June 11, 2014, Youssef Kamah tweeted to the Israeli Prime Minister’s Twitter account — "@IsraeliPM We had nothing to do with the holocaust, Poland is safe to return to. Please leave us alone. You would do the world a great favor."

Kamah’s tweet propagated both the lie that anti-semitism did not persist in Poland and the falsehood that the Palestinian Arab leadership had no hand in the Holocaust.

On January 17, 2013, Youssef Kamah tweeted — "Too much white at UT."

Demonstrating to Demonize Israel’s Self Defense

On July 18, 2014, Youssef Kamah attended a demonstration, which Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at UTK (SJP UTK) co-hosted with UTK MSA, opposing Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE).

Israel commenced Operation Protective Edge (OPE) in July 2014, to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.

The Facebook announcement for the demonstration deceptively claimed "Israel has targeted homes, HOSPITALS, mosques, and other civilian infrastructure. These crimes must be exposed to the world!"

UTK MSA

The leadership and general membership of UTK MSA is fraught with virulent anti-Semites, Hitler and Nazi sympathizers, homophobes and bigots. These individuals propagate Jew-hatred, often — but not always— under the guise of attacking "Israelis" and “Zionists.”

On March 8, 2014, Hesham Annamer — a 2016 nominee running for the position of board member of UTK MSA, tweeted — "My little brother was facetiming one of his little fag friends & i was talking. Dude was like ‘who's that in the background?’"

On May 9. 2013, Eyad Hijer, a UTK MSA member, tweeted — "‘@ogmcphee: @eyadhijer @iammusick I'd call him daddy’ of course you would you faggot."

On October 15, 2014, UTK MSA member Eyad Hijer tweeted a quote from fellow UTK student Jesse West that read: "...Everyone pray for my sister. Nothing's wrong with her, she just likes black guys."

On March 9, 2012, Sonya Hadjerioua, an executive board member of UTK MSA, tweeted — "When I think of green eyes I think of white ppl and when I think of white ppl think of HITLER @ayat0315."

On August 29, 2012, Mohamed Ali — who in 2016 ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head — tweeted: "Had to write about a leader for DCL class. Wrote about Hitler. Cuz he's a boss."

On March 15, 2014, Ali tweeted: "Im gonna put #PeaceInTheMiddleEast, #ThotNation, #FreePalestine at the end of my senior quote. The last 1 as a f**k u 2 the Jewish teachers."

On July 31, 2013, Ali tweeted — "Make like a Jew and take control."

Stori Nuri — a co-president of UTK MSA and president of SJP UTK on January 22, 2015, tweeted — "‘Jew test: throw a pen and if they pick it up they're a Jew’ .”

SJP UTK and UTK MSA Members - Propagating Anti-Semitic Conspiracy Theories

On July 27, 2012, Mohamed Ali, who ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head, tweeted: — "Zion or Zionism, is the belief that Jews are the rightful inhabitants or Israel/Palestine. Lol Illuminati."

On July 5, 2014, Ali tweeted — "When it comes down to it, Israel is the world's super power, not the USA. They control everything behind the curtains...they control so much from the film industry to franchises to pentagon communications to Wall Street to White House lobbies."

On the same day, Ali tweeted — "I'm not surprised. America d**krides Israel so hard. They're scared. Israel controls them."

On June 17, 2013, Ali tweeted — "I feel like all the current problems in the world are linked to the U.S, Israel, & all their d**kriding countries- most of Europe."

Ebad Hussain, the 2016-2017 treasurer of UTK MSA tweeted, on August 9, 2014 — "In America you can criticize God, but you cannot criticize Israel. To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you cannot criticize."

UTK MSA Member - Spreading Hatred of Israel and Zionists

Stori Nuri — a co-president of UTK MSA and president of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at UTK. (SJP UTK) — tweeted on on April 6, 2016: "Your daily reminder that Israel is a piece of s**t."

On April 7, 2015, Mohamed Ali — who ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head — tweeted — "I feel so incredibly irritable right now. No idea why...Just feel like kicking a Zionist tbh."

UTK MSA Tayseer Seminary Liaison - Comparing Israel to Nazis

On July 21, 2014, Tayseer Seminary’s liaison to UTK MSA, Abdalla Husain — who serves to link MSA with other community efforts in Knoxville — compared Israel to Nazis, tweeting — "Like father like son. Germany in the 30s and 40s is Israel now."

MSA

The MSA was established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."

The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.

The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
