Ebad Hussain

Overview

Ebad Hussain is the treasurer of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at UTK (UTK MSA).

Hussain works as a practice manager and neurotech at Health Star Physicians, in Morristown, Tennessee.

Hussain is a rising senior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), where he is majoring in Group Facilitation and Clinical Settings.

Spreading Israel-Hatred

On August 9, 2014, Hussain tweeted the lie — "‘In America you can criticize God, but you cannot criticize Israel. To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you cannot criticize.’"

Whitewashing Hamas Terror

On July 12, 2014 Hussain whitewashed Hamas’ genocidal attempts to kill Israelis. Hassain argued on Twitter, fraudulently, that Hamas’ failure to kill any Israelis — despite hundreds of Hamas rockets launched over four days at Israeli civilian population centers — proved that Israel, not Hamas, was terrorist. Hussain tweeted: "@Casspi18: 600 missiles fired from GAZA in the last 4 days. #'s DONT LIE. STOP LYING."How many casualties? ZERO! Who're the terrorists now?”

Falsely Accusing Israel of Genocide

On July 9, 2014 Hussain inverted the history of the Gaza conflict, tweeting — "Israel is like the fat bully in the lunch room that keeps picking on all the skinny foreign kids, taking their money, supplies, ect... (1/2)." Also in July of 2014, Hussain insisted, falsely, that Israel committed genocide against the Palestinians.

Then, on July 30, 2014, Hussain falsely referred to Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE) as a "genocide." Hussain tweeted — “With the resources available today, it's almost impressive when someone is ignorant to a genocide, funded by THEIR taxes. #SupportGaza.”

Israel launched OPE to destroy Hamas attack tunnels and stop Hamas rocket attacks from Gaza targeting Israeli civilians. Hamas increased suchrocket attacks dramatically following Israel’s crackdown on Hamas in Judea and Samaria — after a Hamas cell kidnapped and murdered three Israeli high-schoolers on June 12, 2014.

On July 31, 2014, Hussain doubled down on his genocide accusation and tweeted — "The @UN is the biggest joke and farce in the history of this planet. At least we know what Israel is about. You are accomplices to genocide."

Lying to Demonize Israel and Attack U.S. Foreign Policy

On January 25, 2016, Hussain shared a photo on Facebook of a woman holding a sign that opposed U.S. financial aid to Israel. The sign falsely accused Israel of the "murder of innocents," and lied that Israel gives its citizens free health care and free university education — at the expense of U.S. citizens. The sign misrepresented the long-standing benefits to America from its close relationship with Israel.

On July 15, 2015 — in response to then-U.S. President Barack Obama’ suggestion on Twitter that U.S. prisons could be de-funded to finance universal pre-school education — Hussain opined that foreign aid to Israel should be defunded first — and falsely claimed that Israel practices "apartheid." Hussain tweeted — “What bout the billions we give to that oppressive regime in the Middle East. Oh right forgot, we support apartheid.”

On July 2, 2014, Hussain tweeted misleadingly — "How in the world do we invade Iraq, Afghanistan and act like we fight terrorism with full resolve, then give billions of $ a year to Israel?"

Promoting Lies to Slander Israel

On July 18, 2014, Hussain promoted on Twitter a UTK MSA co-hosted demonstration with Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at UTK (SJP UTK), opposing Israel’s OPE. Hussains tweet deceptively claimed the demonstration was for "Peace and Justice in Palestine!" and featured marchers with a banner that implied, falsely, Israel was guilty of “war crimes.”

The Facebook announcement for the demonstration deceptively claimed "Israel has targeted homes, HOSPITALS, mosques, and other civilian infrastructure. These crimes must be exposed to the world!"

This deception was compounded by at least two signs featured at the demonstration. One sign read fraudulently: "The USA funds Israel to Bomb Gaza’s hospitals." A second sign claimed falsely: “58 Palestinian Children Murdered by Israel.”

Multiple news sources exposed Hamas’ exploitation of civilian infrastructure and its use of human shields.

Promoting SJP UTK’s Spread of Race-Based Hatred

March 23, 2015, Hussain promoted on Twitter an SJP UTK-hosted talk by Reverend Osagyefo Uhuru Sekou, who falsely equated racial tensions in the United States with tensions underlying the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

A year earlier, at SJP’s 2014 National Conference at Tufts University, Sekou invoked language of race-based incitement, claiming that Palestinian Arabs and African Americans are part of a "global community of n**gers." Sekou has also exploited the loaded racial term in the past to describe the LGBT community. At the conference, Sekou commanded Arab-Americans to cultivate their aggrieved status, saying: “you must fundamentally reject any forms of white privilege that are given to you vis-a-vis the American empire.”

UTK MSA

The leadership and general membership of UTK MSA is fraught with virulent anti-Semites, Hitler and Nazi sympathizers, homophobes and bigots. These individuals propagate Jew-hatred, often — but not always— under the guise of attacking "Israelis" and “Zionists.”

UTK MSA Members - Spreading Homophobia

On June 12, 2013, Mohamed Ali who ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head, tweeted: "you feggity feg feg. I have so much sweg on my dik biches melt for me.... — Briana why u such a salty fag lol."

On March 8, 2014, Hesham Annamer — a 2016 nominee running for the position of board member of UTK MSA, tweeted — "My little brother was facetiming one of his little fag friends & i was talking. Dude was like ‘who's that in the background?’"

On May 9. 2013, Eyad Hijer, a UTK MSA member, tweeted — "‘@ogmcphee: @eyadhijer @iammusick I'd call him daddy’ of course you would you faggot."

UTK MSA Member - Spreading Anti-Black Racism

On October 15, 2014, UTK MSA member Eyad Hijer tweeted a quote from fellow UTK student Jesse West that read: "...Everyone pray for my sister. Nothing's wrong with her, she just likes black guys."

UTK MSA Leader - Demonizing White People

On March 9, 2012, Sonya Hadjerioua, an executive board member of UTK MSA, tweeted — "When I think of green eyes I think of white ppl and when I think of white ppl think of HITLER @ayat0315."

Aspiring UTK MSA Leaders - Praising Hitler and Promoting Jew-Hatred

Eyad Hijer on July 17, 2014 tweeted to a Jewish person — "‘...I already hate you. You dirty filthy Jew. All your people do is f*ed st up. Wish hitler was still around to show you guys."

On December 27, 2015 — in response to a tweet that read : "The most morally army in the world, the Israeli army Leave A Comment !" — Hijer tweeted: “This is why I hate Jews.”

On April 20, 2014, Hesham Annamer — a 2016 nominee for the position of UTK MSA Board Member— tweeted: "Hitler had alot of great ideas. We need a guy like that in the white house."

On August 29, 2012, Mohamed Ali — who ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head — tweeted: "Had to write about a leader for DCL class. Wrote about Hitler. Cuz he's a boss."

On March 15, 2014, Ali tweeted: "Im gonna put #PeaceInTheMiddleEast, #ThotNation, &#FreePalestine at the end of my senior quote. The last 1 as a f**k u 2 the Jewish teachers."

On July 31, 2013, Ali tweeted — "Make like a Jew and take control."

Stori Nuri — a co-president of UTK MSA and president of SJP UTK on January 22, 2015, tweeted — "‘Jew test: throw a pen and if they pick it up they're a Jew’!"

On June 21, 2013, UTK MSA member Afeef Youssef Kamah tweeted a meme featuring an anti-Semitic caricature of a Jew with a big, hooked nose. The meme, known as the "Happy Merchant," originally appeared in a racist and anti-Semitic piece promoting a world without Jews and Blacks — comparing them, respectively, to rats and cockroaches. Youssef Kamah tweeted the meme along with the comment — “@jayomarion @AbdelRahmanM OHH WE ARE FRIENDS…”

Aspiring UTK MSA Leaders - Propagating Anti-Semitic Conspiracy Theories

On July 27, 2012, Mohamed Ali, who ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head, tweeted: — "Zion or Zionism, is the belief that Jews are the rightful inhabitants or Israel/Palestine. Lol Illuminati."

On July 5, 2014, Ali tweeted — "When it comes down to it, Israel is the world's super power, not the USA. They control everything behind the curtains...they control so much from the film industry to franchises to pentagon communications to Wall Street to White House lobbies."

On the same day, Ali tweeted — "I'm not surprised. America d**krides Israel so hard. They're scared. Israel controls them."

On June 17, 2013, Ali tweeted — "I feel like all the current problems in the world are linked to the U.S, Israel, & all their d**kriding countries- most of Europe."

Aspiring UTK MSA Leaders - Spreading Hatred of Israel and Zionists

Stori Nuri — a co-president of UTK MSA and president of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at UTK. (SJP UTK) — tweeted on April 6, 2016: "Your daily reminder that Israel is a piece of s**t."

On April 7, 2015, Mohamed Ali — who ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head — tweeted — "I feel so incredibly irritable right now. No idea why...Just feel like kicking a Zionist tbh."

UTK MSA Tayseer Seminary Liaison - Comparing Israel to Nazis

On July 21, 2014, Tayseer Seminary’s liaison to UTK MSA, Abdalla Husain — who serves to link MSA with other community efforts in Knoxville — compared Israel to Nazis, tweeting — "Like father like son. Germany in the 30s and 40s is Israel now."

UTK MSA and SJP UTK - Spreading Libels at Demonstrations

On July 18, 2014, UTK MSA co-hosted a demonstration with Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at UTK (SJP UTK) opposing Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE). Multiple news sources exposed Hamas’ exploitation of civilian infrastructure and its use of human shields. Additionally, on August 13, 2014, the Palestinian Ambassador to the U.N. Human Rights Council, Ibrahim Khraishi admitted during a live television interview that Hamas had committed a double war crime by launching rockets at Israeli civilians, from densely populated civilian areas in Gaza — including schools, homes, mosques and hospitals — throughout OPE.

MSA

The MSA was  established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations." 

The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.

The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
