Jordan Welsh

Overview

Jordan Welsh is a member of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at UTK (SJP UTK), who recruits and adds members to the the SJP UTK Facebook page.

Welsh is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

On February 21, 2011, Welsh posted an image of Adolph Hitler, calling him "The original Emo Kid."

Welsh is a student at the University Tennessee Knoxville (UTK).

Weapons Owner, Promoter of Violence

Welsh has shared numerous photos of himself on Facebook posing in military fatigues, sometimes in a Soviet military beret, exhibiting military paraphernalia — and aiming various assault weapons. Included in Welsh’s photos are a gas mask, weapons vests and Soviet made guns, including a Mosin-Nagant.

Welsh claims to own a variety of weapons, including a Bulgarian Makarov 9x18 pistol, a Romanian WASR- 10/63, as well an AK-47. On December 16, 2011, Welsh shared a photo on Facebook of an AK-47 and wrote "I am now the proud owner of an AK-47!" The AK47 — an assault rifle of Soviet origin — is referred to by some as “the terrorist’s weapon of choice.”

On December 14, 2012, Welsh tweeted — "‘Political power grows out of the barrel of a #gun’ - Mao Tse-Tung."

On January 7, 2013, Welsh tweeted — "Political power flows from the barrel of a gun, bullshit flows from the mouth of a liberal politician. #WhyGunsAreBetterThanLiberals."

On August 26, 2011, Welsh posted an image of a molotov cocktail with the caption: "Let’s toast the rich…with our choice of cocktail!" On March 17, 2012 he posted an imageof a combination of the Irish and Palestinian flag - with a molotov cocktail and the caption “Palestine Ireland one struggle.”

On May 11, 2012, Welsh posted an image of a police car festooned with molotov cocktails with the caption "pin the molotov on the…" lampooning the children’s game “pin the tail on the donkey.”

On February 6, 2013, Welsh tweeted — "I swear to god, if I see another ad about gun control I might puke. I mean, honestly, how much are these people spending on these ads?"

Anti American, Radical Communist

Welsh’s Twitter handle is GingerChe, styled after the murderous Communist revolutionary, Che Guevara.

On August 21, 2013, Welsh tweeted — "My god. Your grandchildren will live under Communism! Communism will win! See you in hell! #RedNationRising"

On November 6, 2012, Welsh tweeted — "#Capitalism sucks, and I support #Socialist revolution. Pass it on."

On June 15, 2012, Welsh tweeted — "‘The only way to support a revolution is to make your own.’ - Abbie Hoffman."

On November 7, 2014, Welsh tweeted — "Wealth inequality is pretty similar to what it was before the French revolution. I say we bring back the spirit of '91 (1791) #cmputk."

On July 3, 2013, Welsh tweeted — "TBH, the only bad part about the 4th of July is America…"

On September 2, 2012, Welsh tweeted — "I got a present today: The Essential Works of #Lenin ! Maybe coffee shops aren't worthless afterall." The tweet included a photo of Welsh holding up the book.

On May, 5, 2015, Walsh shared an image on Facebook of Karl Marx with the caption: "under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary."

Whitewashing Accomplices to Suicide Bombers

On July 15, 2012, Welsh supported hunger-striking Palestinian prisoner, Akram Rikhawi, who was convicted and sentenced to nine years in jail — for transporting suicide bombers. Welsh tweeted: "Palestinian hunger striker #AkramRikhawi has went 95 days without food. Israel, #SetAkramFree !"

Libeling Israel and the U.S.

On August 26, 2013, Welsh tweeted— "The people want peace, but the imperialist powers, Wall street and Israel want war! #NoWarWithSyria!"

On November 6, 2012, Welsh tweeted— "If you like apartheid Israel receiving $30 billion to commit ethnic cleansing, #VoteObama !"

On July 3, 2012, Welsh tweeted "#AmericaMeans Genocide."

On November 20, 2012, Welsh tweeted — “#Israel is real terrorism.”

On the same day, Welsh tweeted — "#Israel is a terror state"

Cursing French Terror Victims

On January 7, 2015, the day of the Charlie Hebdo massacre — an Al-Qaeda attack that killed 12 people by Islamist extremists in Paris — Welsh tweeted: "Unpopular opinion: f**k #CharlieHebdo."

Discounting Al Qaeda’s 9/11 Attacks

On August 27, 2011, Welsh likened the lot of Palestinians to the massacre of approximately 3,000 innocent Americans during the 9/11 2001 terror attacks on New York’s World Trade Center and the Pentagon by Al Qaeda. Welsh shared an image on Facebook that read "Dear USA, Your 9/11 is our 24/7. Sincerely, Palestine."

Applauding Propagators of Terrorism

On January 26, 2014, Welsh tweeted— "R.I.P. George Habash, founder of the Popular front for the Liberation of Palestinian (PFLP)." Habash has been described as “the godfather” of Middle East terrorism.

On February 3, 2014, Welsh tweeted— "PFLP seeks return to prominence in Palestinian affairs, rejuvenation of leadership:"

PFLP is designated a terrorist organization by the European Union, Canada, Australia, The United States and Israel.

Working with other groups, the PFLP pioneered aircraft hijackings as a high-profile means of drawing attention to their movement, most notably with the capture of an Air France plane in 1976. The hijackers flew the plane to Entebbe, Uganda where they separated nearly 100 Jewish passengers from the others — and threatened to execute one per hour. Israel, however, launched a successful commando raid to rescue the hostages.

The PFLP also claimed "credit" for the November 18, 2014 Har Nof Massacre — where PFLP operatives murdered six people with a gun, axes and a butcher knife, during morning prayers at a West Jerusalem synagogue. Hani Thawbta, a PFLP leader in Gaza stated: “We declare full responsibility of the PFLP for the execution of this heroic operation..."

Propagating Lies to Delegitimize Israeli Self Defense

On July 10th and 18th, of 2014, Welsh joined anti-Israel demonstrations — supporting Hamas and demonizing Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE). Israel launched OPE to stop genocidal Hamas rocket attacks from Gaza that targeted Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.

At the July 10th protest, Welsh held a sign that read "End all aid to the racist state of Israel." Another protester held a sign that read “This is Genocide.”

At the July 18th rally, Welsh paraded a sign that read "Palestinians are fighting for their lives while Israel is fighting for the occupation #Free Palestine."

The July 18th protest Welsh attended was an SJP UTK co-hosted demonstration with the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at UTK, (UTK MSA).

The Facebook announcement for that demonstration deceptively claimed "Israel has targeted homes, HOSPITALS, mosques, and other civilian infrastructure. These crimes must be exposed to the world!"

This deception was compounded by at least two signs featured at the demonstration. One sign read fraudulently: "The USA funds Israel to Bomb Gaza’s hospitals." A second sign lied: “58 Palestinian Children Murdered by Israel.” Multiple news sources exposed Hamas’ exploitation of civilian infrastructure and its use of human shields.

On October 14, 2015, Welsh attended another anti-Israel demonstration. That event was part of the International Day of Action on College Campuses for Palestine. Details for the event on Facebook invited students to rally "in solidarity with Palestine as violence against Palestinian youth, civilians, and holy places is increasing in the West Bank."

During that October, Palestinian terrorists stabbed and hacked to death scores of Israeli civilians across Israel, in a wave of religiously incited terrorist violence, known variously as the "Knife Intifada" or the “Stabbing Intifada.”

At the rally, a protester held a sign that read "Palestinian child shot dead by Israel’s illegal occupation clutching onto his last breath. Israelis stand by and chant “die, die you son of a b**ch, die"!”

The sign was referring to 13-year old attempted-murderer Ahmad Manasra — lying wounded on the street, being screamed at by furious onlookers — following his stabbing spree in Jerusalem. Manasra was injured after he and an older cousin knifed and seriously wounded two Israeli civilians. Manasra survived and was taken by Israeli police for treatment at an Israeli hospital. Manasra, who admitted to investigators "I went there to stab Jews," was later tried and convicted for attempted murder.

Falsely Accusing Israel of Apartheid to Promote BDS

On December 20, 2014, Welsh falsely labeled Israel as an apartheid state. He tweeted — "Hey, followers: Don't drink Coca-Cola products :) It's funding apartheid against Palestinians, and violence against workers in S. America,"

On November 7, 2012, Welsh tweeted — "#4moreyears of drone strikes, and funding Israeli apartheid!"

On March 2, 2016, as part of Israeli Apartheid Week, SJP UTK created a mock apartheid wall. On the same day Welsh shared on Facebook SJP UTK’s photo of the wall.

The mock wall misrepresented Israel’s security fence, which was built to prevent terrorist attacks by suicide bombers, as being "25-feet high, and 403 miles long." In fact, 97% of Israel’s security fence is a low chain link barrier. The atypical concrete portions of the fence were built only in response to Palestinian sniper attacks. The wall also falsely read that “1661 KM of roads were only accessible by Israeli settlers.”

The text on the mock wall falsely accused Israel of practicing apartheid. The wall also featured a deliberately misleading map of Palestine, with the headline "To Exist is to Resist." SJP UTK’s map is similar to another widely debunked map — dubbed “The Map That Lies — that fraudulently presented lands once controlled by Britain, Egypt, and Jordan as autonomous “Palestinian land,” purportedly stolen by Israel.

The mock wall was also used as a tool to promote a boycott of Sabra Hummus, an Israeli-owned hummus brand, owned by the Osem group. Writing on the wall called to "deshelve" Sabra.

Embracing Anti-Semitic Conspiracy Theorist Alison Weir

On April 18, 2013, Welsh is listed as having attended an SJP UTK hosted speaking event featuring anti-Israel agitator Alison Weir.

Weir is the founder and executive director of the anti-Semitic organization If Americans Knew (IAK). She has reportedly been “a repeat guest of white supremacist Clay Douglas on his hate radio show.” The Anti Defamation League (ADL) has exposed Weir’s propagation of numerous anti-Semitic and anti-Israel conspiracy theories.

On August 8, 2009, Weir wrote an article supporting a blood libel published by a Swedish newspaper —  advancing lies about Israeli harvesting of Palestinian organs.

In a 2012 primer, titled “The Top Ten Anti-Israel Groups in America,” The Anti Defamation League (ADL) exposed (p.5-6) Weir’s propagation of numerous anti-Semitic and anti-Israel conspiracy theories. ADL noted that Weir wrote several articles promoting claims of organ harvesting by Jews.

Embracing Israel Haters

On October 25, 2015, Welsh is listed as having attended an SJP UTK hosted event featuring New York-based poet, Remi Kanazi. Kanazi tours widely presenting presenting aggressively anti-Israel poetry and spoken-word performances.

On March 23, 2015, Welsh is listed as having attended an SJP UTK hosted talk by Reverend Osagyefo Uhuru Sekou, who falsely equated racial tensions in the United States with tensions underlying the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

At the 2014 SJP National Conference at Tufts University, Reverend Osagyefo Uhuru Sekou invoked language of racial hatred, claiming that Palestinian Arabs and African Americans are part of a "global community of n**gers." Sekou has also exploited the loaded racial term in the past to describe the LGBT community. At the conference, Sekou commanded Arab-Americans that “you must fundamentally reject any forms of white privilege that are given to you vis-a-vis the American empire.”

SJP UTK

The leadership and general membership of SJP UTK is fraught with virulent anti-Semites, Hitler and Nazi sympathizers, promoters of terrorist incitement, homophobes and bigots. These individuals propagate Jew-hatred, often — but not always— under the guise of attacking "Israelis" and “Zionists.”

SJP UTK Members - Spreading Homophobia and Transphobia

On June 12, 2013, SJP UTK member Mohamed Ali — who also ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head — tweeted: "you feggity feg feg. I have so much sweg on my dik biches melt for me.... — Briana why u such a salty fag lol http://ask.fm/a/4iballkc."

In April 19, 2016, Ameen Abdel-Khalek a member of SJP UTK tweeted "If only people here cared as much for children dying in Syria Palestine Iraq instead of f**king faggot rights maybe wed get somwhere in life."

On December 18, 2015, Abdel-Khalek tweeted "Transphobic? Are we making up words now.Come on niggas you got me f**ked up if Im gonna acknowledge a transgender. Seriously shoot me if I do."

On June 23, 2016 Abdel-Khalek tweeted a drawing of a baby locked in a cage, being spoken to by an adult standing outside the cage: "You can come out when you’re done being a little faggot."

On October 19, 2014, Abdel-Khalek tweeted a picture of Spiderman, with the caption "This is exactly the kind of s**t that makes people think you’re a faggot."

SJP UTK Members - Praising Hitler and Promoting Jew-Hatred

On August 29, 2012, SJP UTK member Mohamed Ali — who also ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head — tweeted: "Had to write about a leader for DCL class. Wrote about Hitler. Cuz he's a boss."

On March 15, 2014, Ali tweeted: "Im gonna put #PeaceInTheMiddleEast, #ThotNation, &#FreePalestine at the end of my senior quote. The last 1 as a f**k u 2 the Jewish teachers."

On July 31, 2013, Ali tweeted — "Make like a Jew and take control."

On August 15, 2015, SJP UTK member Jenine Omari liked a tweet by UTK MSA member and virulent anti-Semite, Eyad Hijer, who tweeted — "F**k Jews."

Stori Nuri — a co-president of UTK MSA and president of SJP UTK on January 22, 2015, tweeted — "‘Jew test: throw a pen and if they pick it up they're a Jew’!😂😂😂.”

SJP UTK Member - Propagating Anti-Semitic Conspiracy Theories

On July 27, 2012, SJP UTK member Mohamed Ali — who also ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head — tweeted: — "Zion or Zionism, is the belief that Jews are the rightful inhabitants or Israel/Palestine. Lol Illuminati."

On July 5, 2014, Ali tweeted — "When it comes down to it, Israel is the world's super power, not the USA. They control everything behind the curtains...they control so much from the film industry to franchises to pentagon communications to Wall Street to White House lobbies."

On the same day, Ali tweeted — "I'm not surprised. America d**krides Israel so hard. They're scared. Israel controls them."

On June 17, 2013, Ali tweeted — "I feel like all the current problems in the world are linked to the U.S, Israel, & all their d**kriding countries- most of Europe."

SJP UTK Leaders - Spreading Hatred of Israel and Zionists

Stori Nuri — president of SJP UTK and a co-president of UTK MSA — tweeted on April 6, 2016: "Your daily reminder that Israel is a piece of s**t."

On April 7, 2015, SJP UTK member Mohamed Ali — who also ran for the position of UTK MSA Public Relations Head — tweeted — "I feel so incredibly irritable right now. No idea why...Just feel like kicking a Zionist tbh."

SJP UTK Founder - Calling for a Third Intifada

On December 8, 2013, Amira Sakalla the founder of SJP UTK tweeted — "“@PalAnonymous: Today marks the 26th anniversary of the First #Intifada #Palestine " About time for another one..” More than 10,000 Israelis were maimed or murdered by the Palestinian terrorist violence of the First and Second Intifadas — mostly in the suicide suicide bombings that characterized the Second Intifada.

SJP UTK Leader - Glorifying Anti-Semitic Terrorist Incitement

On October 16, 2015, Fatima Itmaizah, the vice presidentof SJP UTK, updated her Facebook profile picture to a graphic promoting violence against Jews. It suggested that Jewish presence on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is akin to a peel that needs to be cut way with a knife. The image depicted the Dome of the Rock, appearing as a fruit covered in blue skin, emblazoned with a star of David, a Jewish symbol. The picture showed the blue skin being cut and peeled away with a knife — blood dripping down the hand of the peeler as the blade stripped away the peel.

During that month — as a wave of terrorist violence, known as the "knife Intifada," swept across Israel — Palestinian radicals stabbed and hacked to death scores of Israeli civilians. The violence was sparked and fueled by a fraudulent rumor that Israel intended to desecrate the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. That, spread by Palestinian leaders, led directly to the wave of deadly violence against Israelis. The “threat” of “attacks Al Aqsa” has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews well before the existence of Israel.

SJP UTK Members - Drawing Inspiration From Advocates of Genocide

On April, 21, 2016, SJP UTK member Ameen Abdel-Khalek retweeted a tweet by the anti-Semitic Islamist leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi.

Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi is the president of the European Council for Fatwa and Research. The Wall Street Journal reported that the council has used the anti-Semitic Protocols of the Elders of Zion as a basis for some of its legal-theological deliberations.

In a January 9, 2009 sermon shown on Al-Jazeera, Qaradawi prayed: "O Allah, take this oppressive, tyrannical band of people. O Allah, take this oppressive, Jewish Zionist band of people. O Allah, do not spare a single one of them. O Allah, count their numbers, and kill them, down to the very last one."

On March 22, 2016, Abdel-Khalek retweeted a tweet from the Hamas info Twitter account — the official Twitter account of the terrorist organization that read — "When will Hamas give up its armed struggle? Watch this debate b/w Sheikh Yasin and a foreign reporter…"

Sheikh Ahmed Yassin has been described as the “mastermind of Palestinian terror” behind many suicide bombings against Israeli civilians on buses and in cafes during the second intifada. In January 2003, Yassin said in an interview: “Suicide attacks and jihad reinforce national unity in the ranks…Our voice is one of struggle, of jihad and of suicide…”

On September 10, 2015, Abdalla Husain — the Tayseer Seminary’s liaison to UTK MSA, and member of SJP UTK, tweeted — "I HAVE THE SAME BIRTHDAY AS YASSER ARAFAT!!!!!!!!!!! #PALESTINE #AAAYYWAAAAAAA I am very happy right now !😁”

Yasser Arafat was the former leader of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and is known by some as the “father of modern terrorism.” Arafat reportedly told Arab diplomats in a secret meeting in 1996: "We will make life unbearable for Jews by psychological warfare and population explosion. Jews will not want to live among Arabs. I have no use for Jews. They are and remain Jews."

SJP UTK Member- Comparing Israel to Nazis

On July 21, 2014, Abdalla Husain — the Tayseer Seminary’s liaison to UTK MSA, and member of SJP UTK, — who serves to link MSA with other community efforts in Knoxville — compared Israel to Nazis, tweeting — "Like father like son. Germany in the 30s and 40s is Israel now."

SJP UTK - Promoting Terrorist Incitement as "Education"

On November 13, 2014, SJP UTK posted on Facebook a flyer promoting two Palestinian students hosted by SJP UTK as part of Birzeit University’s so-called "Right to Education" tour. In September of 2014, pro-Palestinian Haaretz reporter Amira Hass was thrown off of Birzeit’s campus — because Hass is Jewish.

In September of 2014, pro-Palestinian Haaretz reporter Amira Hass was thrown off of Birzeit’s campus — because Hass is Jewish.

In 2014, the Right to Education tour deceptively claimed on Tumblr that Israeli efforts to combat incitement to terrorist violence on Palestinian university campuses violated Palestinian rights, stating:"Israeli military systematically obstructs education in the West Bank and Gaza, which violates the human rights of individuals and also impedes the development of Palestinian society."

Birzeit University’s student body has been ridden with terrorists since at least 2003. The student government race that year featured models of exploding Israeli buses — as parties competed on the basis of which Palestinian faction had killed the most Israelis.

In 2015 and 2016, Birzeit University students elected Hamas’ student wing to power. As a result, Bilal Barghouti who is serving 16 life terms in prison for his role in a series of suicide attacks against Israel — was made the "Honorary Chairman of the Bir Zeit University Student Council." Bilal Barghouti was the senior terrorist behind the Sbarro cafe bombing — which specifically targeted religious Jewish patrons and murdered 16 people — including 8 children and a pregnant woman — and wounded 130.

Birzeit University's Fatah-affiliated students also embrace terror. The Shabiba student group, in December 2015, posted Facebook pictures of themselves beside a Christmas tree adorned with the portraits of terrorist murderers — including one who had recently stabbed four Israeli civilians. The terrorists whose images decorated the Christmas tree were collectively responsible for thousands of murderous attacks against Israelis. Behind the Birzeit students was a sign that proclaimed: "The way to freedom is a bullet and a martyr... a crescent and a cross; Merry Christmas, [Fatah's] Shabiba student movement, Birzeit University."

In the autumn of 2015, Hamas incitement propaganda fueled and celebrated a wave of religiously incited terrorist violence, known variously as the "Knife Intifada" or the “Stabbing Intifada,” when Palestinian radicals across Israel stabbed and hacked to death scores of Israeli civilians.

In January of 2016, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) swept Birzeit’s campus, seizing Hamas propaganda. The University characterized the sweep as a "belligerent ...attack on the university and our right to education and all the principles involved in the freedom of education."

Another Palestinian university participating in the Right to Education campaign is Al Quds university. Brandeis University terminated its relationship with Al Quds in 2013, after Islamic Jihad held a Nazi-themed demonstration at Al Quds. After Brandeis’ president Lawrence contacted Al-Quds President Sari Nusseibeh and requested that he publish an unequivocal condemnation of the demonstrations. in both Arabic and English, Al Quds’ administration responded by skirting the issue and complaining of "vilification campaigns by Jewish extremists with the purpose of discrediting [the university’s] reputation."

Yet another terror-supporting Palestinian university participating in the Right to Education initiative is Al Najah University (Al Najah). Al-Najah — the largest Palestinian university in the West Bank — remains notorious for its triumphal exhibit lauding the Sbarro cafe suicide bombing.Al-Najah’s exhibit featured a mock-up of Sbarro’s, including gnawed pizza crusts and bloody plastic body parts suspended from the ceiling, as if they were blasting through the air.

SJP UTK - Comparing Israel to Nazi Germany😁”

On January 16, 2015, SJP UTK retweeted an anti-Semitic tweet that read "Zionism is Terrorism" featuring a photo of a Jewish child held at gunpoint by a Nazi soldier during the Holocaust, next to a photo of a Palestinian child being arrested by the IDF. The caption on the photo read: “They Act Like NaZis, Because They WERE The NaZis.”

"Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis" is considered a contemporary manifestation of anti-Semitism as defined by the U.S. State Department.

SJP

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
