Overview

Wala’a Mohammad has cursed Jews, expressed hatred of Israel supporters and made homophobic comments on Twitter.

Mohammad is the treasurer and budget officer for Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at Cleveland State University (CSU).

Mohammad is a member of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at CSU.

Mohammad is also a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

As of February 2019, Mohammad’s LinkedIn page said she was a student at CSU majoring in Mathematics and scheduled to graduate in 2019. Mohammad’s LinkedIn page also said she was a Customer Service Representative at Best Buy since November 2017.

Mohammad is connected to other social media users, whose feeds are also replete with anti-Jewish posts. These connections are detailed at the bottom of this profile.

Hatred of Jews and Israel Supporters

On July 6, 2016, Mohammad tweeted: "@ilikeeggss allah yin3an al yahood [May Allah curse the Jews]."

On December 15, 2015, Mohammad tweeted: "‘Speak to the folk in Israel, walls work’ IM GONNA FIGHT HIM."

On October 14, 2015, Mohammad tweeted: "I dare some one to try and tell me Israel is defending themselves. You just asking to get slapped."

Homophobic Comments

On January 29, 2015, Mohammad tweeted: "Lexi is a Faggot." After an objection to her derogatory language towards gay people, Mohammad justified her remark, tweeting: “@ohsnap_itslexi faggot isn't a bad word.”

On January 11, 2015, Mohammad tweeted: "You look like a faggot.”

On January 1, 2015, Mohammad tweeted: "Faggot faggot faggot."

On November 29, 2014, Mohammad tweeted: "‘You need to act more like a lady’ You need to stop being a faggot and let me be."

Delegitimizing Israel

On December 4, 2015, Mohammad tweeted:

On August 10, 2014, Mohammad tweeted: "Hamas does not shoot rockets into Israel because there is no damn Israel."

Demonizing Israel

On August 1, 2014, during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE), Mohammad tweeted: "@ahsan_jehangir: Blame Hamas, Right? US funds Israel and Israel do genocide but obviously Hamas terrorist! " The tweet featured a cartoon of a woman in Hijab, labeled “Gaza,” laying dead on the ground, with a knife — emblazoned with the word “Israel” — protruding from her back. Standing over the body was a reporter, holding a microphone to a police officer with a red, white and blue cap — and a speech bubble that read: “Blame Hamas.”

Israel commenced OPE in July 2014 in order to stop Hamas rocket attacks targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.

On July 20, 2014, Mohammad tweeted: "The amount of power Israel has over America is pathetic."

Mohammad interacts with other Twitter users whose feeds are replete with anti-Jewish posts. Below are some representative connections and examples of social media posts evidencing their anti-Semitism:

Mohammad has interacted on Twitter with Sinclair Community College (SCC), Dayton Ohio student Nawal Sharab — whose social media reflects a profound hatred of Jews and Israel.

On March 21, 2014, Sharab tweeted: "Ya3lan aboo yahood ya3lan aboo Israelis ya3lan aboo kool hoom!! [May Allah curse the Jews, may Allah curse the Israelis, may Allah curse all of them!!]."

On January 3, 2013, Sharab tweeted: "If I'm following any Jews or if any are following me please let me kno and unfollow me."

Mohammad has interacted on Twitter, as well, with Kasem Abed, a college student at CSU, who spreads violently anti-Jewish — and Anti-Black — bigotry on social media

On June 16, 2015, Abed tweeted: "F**k the Jews."

On October 5, 2013, Abed tweeted: “I'm praying those are gunshots outside. Get rid of a few Abeed.” The tweet used the term “abeed,” a derogatory term meaning “slave” in Arabic, to refer to Blacks.

On February 23, 2013, Abed tweeted: “I'm bringing rocks to school on Monday, bout to turn shit up in the library. That Jew better run”

Mohammad has corresponded on Twitter with Ayman Ramahi — who studies at OSU and has spread hatred of Jews on Twitter.

On February 14, 2013, Ramahi tweeted "@zainabmustafaa YEA AND WELL KILL THE YAHOOD! [Jews]"

On February 27, 2013, Ramahi tweeted "THE DAY I DON'T go to the rec is the day Adam goes... Freakin yahood [Jews] I hate them."

SJP

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.

MSA

The MSA was established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."

The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.

The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
