Mohammed Faraj

Overview

Mohammed Faraj [Moe Faraj] has expressed a violent hatred of Israelis and spread anti-Semitism online. Faraj has also promoted anti-Israel conspiracy theories and hatred of Israel.

As of April 2021, Faraj’s Facebook page said he studied at Cleveland State University (CSU) as well as at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) in OH and that he lived in Westlake, Ohio.

In December 2019, Faraj tweeted photos of himself in his graduation cap and gown and indicated he was in the Class of 2019 and majored in Health Sciences.

As of April 2021, Faraj’s Twitter and Instagram bios listed “Physical Therapy” in their descriptions.

As of April 2021, Faraj went by the name “Moe Faraj” on Facebook as well as on Tiktok.

Violent Hatred of Israelis

On August 23, 2018, Faraj tweeted: “You bad a'f [as f**k] lightweight but I hope a little Palestinian kid throws a rock through your skull hoe.”

Faraj’s tweet was responding to a tweet featuring a photo of a female Israeli soldier.

On November 17, 2015, Faraj tweeted: “put the guns down that you get from America and see what would happen to you zionists.”

On July 16, 2014, Faraj tweeted: “If israel dropped all the weapons and the Palestinians and Jews straight fought we would literally f**ken murk them.”

To “murk” someone means “to physically beat someone so severely, they end up dying from their injuries.”

Anti-Semitism

On November 21, 2016, Faraj tweeted: “Good it's a Jewish company anyway.”

Faraj’s tweet was responding to a tweet by Fox News that read: “Some Sabra hummus flavors recalled due to listeria risk…”

The Israeli Strauss group company partially owns Sabra Hummus.

On November 17, 2015, Faraj tweeted: “Swear Hitler should of just erased all yall.”

On August 30, 2015, Faraj tweeted: “yeah Jews.”

Faraj’s tweet was in response to a tweet that read: “90% of U.S. media (TV, radio, news) is owned by only 6 corporations.”

The assertion that Jews control the media has been traced to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, an anti-Semitic fabricated text that depicts wealthy Jews conspiring to take over the world.

Anti-Israel Conspiracy Theories

On August 4, 2020, Faraj tweeted: “Convinced that Israel carried out that bombing.”

On August 4, 2020, an explosion at a port in Beirut, Lebanon killed over 150 people and injured thousands. Lebanese officials explained that the cause of the explosion was ammonium nitrate stored at a warehouse.

On August 4, 2020, Faraj also tweeted: “F**king Israel.”

On November 17, 2015, Faraj tweeted: “When are people going to realize that America and Israel created ISIS?

”

On November 17, 2015, Faraj also tweeted: “The two countries that were gonna help Palestine, Russia and France suddenly get attacked by ISIS? What does that show you? Israel and USA.”

Hatred of Israel

On May 5, 2019, Faraj tweeted: “Lol Israel fired first, You’re taking Israel’s direct word when believing CNN, of course they gonna say that.”

Faraj’s tweet referred to a CNN report about rockets fired from Gaza into Israel followed by retaliatory Israeli air strikes on targets in Gaza.

Faraj added to the thread: “...who do you think controls the media? You think they’re just gonna be like yeah Israel fired missiles at Gaza for no reason guys? Not at all, this happens every year right before Ramadan Israel bombs Gaza, get hip and stop believing everything dropped on your TL.”

Terror organizations Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Gaza fired over 600 rockets at Israeli communities on May 4-5, 2019. Four Israelis were killed and dozens more were injured.
