Stephanie Luce

Stephanie Luce has spread hatred of Israel and engaged in anti-Israel activism. Luce is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

As of January 2026, Luce was listed as a member of the transition team for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani, serving on the Economic Development & Workforce Development Committee.

Mamdani has called for dismantling capitalism and promoted hatred of the police. He has also justified Hamas terrorism and glorified terror supporters. On his first day as mayor, he revoked executive orders designed to combat antisemitism, including increased police protection at synagogues, and nullified a ban on city officials to boycott Israel.

As of January 2026, Luce's personal website said she worked as a professor of labor studies at the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Labor and Urban Studies (CUNY SLU) and as a professor of sociology at The CUNY Graduate Center (CUNY GC).

As of the same date, Luce's personal website said she was located in New York, New York.

On May 6, 2024, during Israel's war against Hamas, Luce signed a pro-BDS letter titled: "Academics Boycott Columbia University."

The letter stated: "We, the undersigned, stand in solidarity with members of the Columbia University community demanding that the University divest from Israel’s US-backed genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. We write to announce our initiation of an academic and cultural boycott of Columbia University and Barnard College."

On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.

On May 9, 2024, Convergence magazine published an article co-authored by Luce, that said: "As the war on Gaza enters its seventh month of unrelenting destruction, students around the world are setting up encampments and occupying buildings to press their institutions to cut financial and academic ties with Israel. Their peaceful and passionate protests..."

Nearly 200 anti-Israel college encampments were set up in North America in spring 2024. Activists harassed Jews with antisemitic slurs, expressed their support [00:02:45] for Hamas terrorism and called [00:04:45] for Israel's destruction. They blocked Jews from campus facilities and limited access to those with special wristbands or who said they weren't a Zionist.
