Leila Abdul-Razzaq
Overview
Leila Abdul Razzaq was at the forefront of the De Paul University (De Paul) Divest campaign, a part of the global Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. She designed and produced the artwork for their campaign, constructed an Israel-Apartheid wall, appeared in the group’s promotional video and produced a comic pamphlet that explains the goals of the BDS movement.
She is a fervent supporter of convicted terrorist-bomber, Rasmea Odeh, with whom she has a photograph on her Facebook page captioned, "one of my personal heroes."
She designed a graphic of five female figures activists. Two of the five - Rasmea Odeh and Assata Shakur - have been convicted of violent criminal activity.
Her graphic novel Baddawi traces the journey of a Lebanese-Palestinian refugee and is virulently anti-Israel.
On her Twitter page she calls Zionists "pigs" and "brats" and purports violence as a legitimate form of resistance.
Abdul Razzaq is a graduate of De Paul with a degree in Theatre Arts and Arabic Studies. She is an artist based in the Chicago area who uses her skills to produce anti-Israel material across varying modalities.
NSJP 2014
Abdul Razzaq designed and produced the artwork for the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) 2014 National Seminar.
SJP
SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.
The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.
SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.
SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
