Supporting Terrorists
On May 22, 2017, Kranz shared photos on Facebook of SJP activists demonstrating in solidarity with Palestinian hunger strikers.Kranz wrote: “Students worldwide remain in solidarity with the 1500+ Palestinian prisoners on their 36th day of hunger strike against illegal detention & conditions in Isr*eli prisons. #DignityStrike36 #PalHunger #DignityStrike #StopAD (administrative detention) #EndIsraeliApartheird #BoycottIsrael #DepaulDivest #SJP #SJPDePaul#StudentsforJusticeinPalestine #FreePalestine.”
“Dignity Strike” refers to a hunger strike initiated by Marwan Barghouti on April 16, 2017. More than 1,000 Palestinian prisoners participated in the strike – most them also convicted for acts of terrorism. Barghouti headed the Palestinian Authority (PA) terrorist Tanzim force and founded the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. He was sentenced to five consecutive life terms by an Israeli civilian court for some of his crimes, including his role in the Sbarro Cafe bombing.
On May 12, 2017, Kranz featured in a photo posted on Facebook by SJP DePaul alongside other SJP DePaul activists holding a banner that read: “SJP DEPAUL FASTS IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE 1600 PALESTINIAN PRISONERS ON THEIR 25TH DAY OF HUNGER STRIKE. BECAUSE: ARRESTING ACTIVISTS AND CHILDREN, FORCING CONFESSIONSAND PHYSICAL AND SEXUAL ABUSE IN PRISON IS WHAT ISRAELI APARTHEID LOOKS LIKE.”
SJP DePaul commented on the photo: “Today we fast with the 1600+ political prisoners who are on day 25 of their hunger strike.#PalestinianPoliticalPrisoners #PalHunger#DignityStrike #StopAD…”
On May 9, 2017, SJP DePaul shared a video on Facebook that featured [00:00:06] Kranz with SJP DePaul activists participating in the Saltwater Challenge.
On January 27, 2016, Kranz featured in a Facebook photo posted by SJP DePaul with SJP Depaul activists, holding a sign that read: “DEPAUL STUDENTS STAND WITH RASMEA. JUSTICE 4 RASMEA.”
Odeh was a key military operative [00:02:08]with the terrorist group the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). In 1969, Odeh masterminded a PFLP bombing that killed two college students in a Jerusalem supermarket. Odeh also attempted to bomb the British consulate.
Odeh confessed, in a highly detailed account, the day following her arrest. In a 2004 documentary, one of Odeh’s co-conspirators directly implicated [00:10:53] Odeh as the mastermind.
In 1970, an Israeli court tried and convicted Odeh for her involvement in both bombings and sentenced her to life imprisonment. However, Odeh was released 10 years later, in a prisoner swap and emigrated to the United States.
On November 10, 2014, a Michigan federal jury convicted Odeh for immigration fraud because she failed to disclose her prior conviction and life sentence on her immigration application. On March 12, 2015, she was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
In 2017, after an appeal and a lengthy court battle, Odeh admitted to immigration fraud, was stripped of her U.S. citizenship, deported to Jordan and banned from re-entering the U.S.
Other activists in the photo held a sign calling to “FREE ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS.”
Spreading Hatred of Israel
On December 6, 2017, Kranz shared a link on Facebook to an event titled: “Emergency Rally: Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine!” scheduled to take place the following day.In 2017, the U.S. government recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and relocated the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in 2018.
On June 5, 2017, Kranz wrote on Facebook: “From Mariam Saleh. Zionism, like white supremacy, is incompatible with feminism. Period. 🙅🏽”
Kranz’s post linked to an article titled: “WONDER WOMAN IS YOUR ZIONIST, WHITE FEMINIST HERO.” Kranz went on to quote from the article, writing: “...Israel maintains a brutal grip on Palestinians and their daily lives. It is a settler colonialist power and feminists who support it are not feminists if they give zero f**ks about Palestinian civilians being brutally oppressed on a daily basis… #HollywoodSoZio.”
The term "Zio" is a common derogatory reference to Zionists, as well as an often-used anti-Semitic slur among white supremacists.

SJP DePaul - Spreading Anti-Israel Propaganda
On February 19, 2019, SJP DePaul shared a statement on Instagram by SJP at the University of Chicago (UofC) in support of Ilhan Omar, and commented: “Students for Justice in Palestine Chicago is proud to support Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar in her brave and frank callout of the Israel lobby and its attempts to purchase American support for the occupation.”On September 7, 2018, SJP DePaul shared a photo on Facebook of SJP activists manning a table with a banner that read “END ISRAELI APARTHEID” at an event called the “involvement fair.” The activists were promoting several books at the table, including “The Israel Lobby,” by John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt.
The book decries the influence of “the Israeli lobby” and repeats an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory about Jewish control over foreign governments.
SJP
SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.
The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.
SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.
SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
