Leena Yumeen

Leena Yumeen participated in at least one anti-Israel event in New York City in 2022. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) chapter in the city (NYC-DSA) organized the event, which promoted an an anti-Israel conspiracy theory.

NYC-DSA is an anti-American and anti-Israel activist group. It celebrated the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023, by holding a rally the next day.

The accusation that Israeli law enforcement teaches American police brutal tactics during police exchange programs is used to demonize Israel. Participants in these programs have stated [00:02:14] that the training in Israel focuses [00:13:36] on public policy, counterterrorism and leadership training in the form of lectures and discussions.

Leena Yumeen also participated in at least one other NYC-DSA events in 2023.

As of August 2023, Leena Yumeen served as co-chair of the national Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA).
