Linda Sarsour
Linda Sarsour has expressed support for violence in America, defended terrorists online and maintained family ties with a former Hamas operative.
Sarsour has also called for Israel's destruction, promoted antisemitism, honored antisemites, and spread hatred of America, the police and Israel.
As of November 2025, Sarsour's LinkedIn profile said she was the co-founder and executive director of MPower Change, which is "the first Muslim online organizing platform." She was also listed on the Until Freedom website as the co-founder of this "intersectional social justice organization."
Sarsour has been a "proud member" of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) since 2017. She was a featured speaker at the 2019 DSA National Convention and a "monthly donor" to the DSA as early as 2019.
Sarsour promoted New York City mayor-elect and DSA member Zohran Mamdani and donated to his campaign. Sarsour has backed Mamdani since his run for New York State Assembly in 2020.
Sarsour denied allegations that she holds "any official positions in the Mamdani campaign." However, in a September 20, 2025, panel discussion, Sarsour said [00:00:36] that Mamdani received significant campaign backing from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
Mamdani's anti-America and far-left activist network, which includes the DSA, helped him win the 2025 Democratic Party primary. He won the general election in November 2025.
DSA's ideology includes anti-American and abolitionist elements. DSA justified Hamas murdering 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023. Notable members are activist Linda Sarsour and Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib.
Sarsour spoke at the annual conferences of anti-Israel organizations like American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP).
Sarsour headlined the events of other anti-Israel groups, like CAIR, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), Al-Awda and the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR). She is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
As of July 2025, Sarsour's LinkedIn profile said she had been a national organizer for the Women's March from November 2016 to August 2019. In September 2019, she stepped down following an antisemitism scandal.
As of July 2025, Sarsour's LinkedIn said she was located in Brooklyn, NY.
On July 30, 2020, Sarsour posted on Instagram: "'In order for nonviolence to work, your opponent must have a conscience. The United States has none.' ~ Stokely Carmichael aka Kwame Ture." She also praised Ture for having "understood liberation has to be won by any means necessary."
Black Panther Party (BPP) leader Stokely Carmichael [Kwame Ture] coined the phrase: “The only good Zionist is a dead Zionist.” In 1990, he claimed [00:28:33] the term “‘antisemitic’ had no meaning at all,” since Jews “are not even Semites.” In 1970, he called Adolf Hitler a “genius” while he was a guest on a television program.
Anti-Israel activists use the phrase “By any means necessary” as one of multiple euphemisms for terrorist violence, of which another is “resistance.”
On January 11, 2024, Sarsour posted on Instagram a flyer for a rally in support of Yemen under the Houthi terror group. The flyer had text that read: "EMERGENCY MOBILIZATION / STOP THE U.S. BOMBING OF YEMEN!" to be held later that day outside the White House in Washington, D.C.
Following the outbreak of Israel’s 2023 war against Hamas, Houthi terrorists attacked commercial ships off Yemen’s Red Sea coast and launched missiles into southern Israel. Like Hamas, the Houthi movement is backed by Iran, and is designated as a terror group by the United States, Saudi Arabia and other countries.
The Houthi slogan reads: “God is the Greatest / Death to America / Death to Israel / A Curse Upon the Jews / Victory to Islam.”
On October 8, 2023, the day after Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, Sarsour posted on Instagram a graphic with text that read: "FREE PALESTINE," and wrote: "...This is the moment for all of us to stand together and demand loud and clear the END OF THE OCCUPATION & LIFTING OF THE SIEGE ON GAZA..."
On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.
For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
“Free Palestine” is a chant that has been described as a "battle cry for the death of Jews.” In May 2025, two Israeli diplomats in Washington, D.C., were murdered by a gunman shouting “Free Palestine!” In June 2025, one pro-Israel activist was killed and over 25 were injured in Boulder, Colorado, when a man yelling “Free Palestine” firebombed them.
Israel and Egypt implemented a UN-approved [pp. 39–41] joint blockade of the Gaza Strip in 2011 to stop Hamas from acquiring more sophisticated rockets. Hamas went around the blockade by smuggling weaponry through tunnels under the Philadelphi corridor separating Gaza from Egypt.
On April 2, 2017, Sarsour was featured in a Facebook photo hugging terrorist Rasmea Odeh, when the pair shared the stage during that year’s annual JVP national members’ meeting (NMM) held in Chicago, Illinois.
Rasmea Odeh was a key military operative [00:02:08] with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist organization. In 1969, she masterminded a PFLP supermarket bombing that killed two college students. She also attempted to bomb the British consulate in Jerusalem. Odeh later moved to the United States but was deported to Jordan in 2017 for immigration fraud.
On October 9, 2015, Sarsour posted on X: "Israa Abed, young Palestinian mother and college student shot by the State of Israel for existing."
On August 18, 2015, Sarsour posted on X a photo from an NYC SJP rally held in support of PIJ operative Mohammad Allan. She wrote: "Proud of our new generation of Palestinian rights activists. Free #MUHAMMADALLAN."
Mohammad Allan is a member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), a terror group “whose objective is the destruction of the State of Israel and the establishment of a sovereign, Islamic Palestinian state.” Allan was first jailed by Israel in 2006 for trying to recruit a suicide bomber to carry out an attack in Israel. He was detained in 2014 for similar reasons. PIJ is backed by Iran and has killed dozens of Israelis in suicide bombings and other attacks.
On January 27, 2013, Sarsour posted on X: "Samer Issawi - Palestinian prisoner on his 187th day of hunger strike. #FreeSamer187."
Samer Issawi is a member of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) who received a 26-year prison sentence in 2002. During the second intifada, Issawi manufactured and distributed pipe bombs and fired indiscriminately on Israeli civilian vehicles. In December 2013, Issawi called for the kidnapping of Israelis, saying: “The [Palestinian] prisoners' release will be brought about by kidnapping and [prisoner] exchanges. Nothing will happen without that.”
On March 20, 2012, Sarsour posted on X: "Hana Shalabi - Palestinian prisoner on 35th day of hunger strike, barely alive - the world is silent. #HanaDying2Live."
Hana Shalabi is reportedly a supporter of the terror group Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). Shalabi was arrested in 2012 for alleged “involvement in planned attacks” by PIJ.
The 2012 prisoners’s hunger strike included among its 2,000 participants convicted Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists Tha'er Halahleh and Bilal Diab; Hamas military commander Abdullah al-Barghouti, sentenced to 67 life sentences for his role in multiple terrorist attacks; Samer Issawi, who received a 26-year prison sentence for a shooting attack and for manufacturing pipe bombs; and Khader Adnan, a senior member of PIJ who among other acts has encouraged suicide bombings.
On February 21, 2012, Sarsour posted on X: "There are 100s of #KhaderAdnan in #palestine - innocent people held without charge and with no trials. #KhadersVictory4Palestine."
Khader Adnan was a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist organization. A 2007 YouTube video showed Adnan praising and encouraging suicide bombings: "Who among you will carry the next explosive belt? Who among you will fire the next bullets? Who among you will have his body parts blown all over?” In May 2023, Adnan died in prison after refusing medical treatment during a hunger strike.
Linda Sarsour has appeared in multiple "family" photos with Hamas financier Salah Sarsour since 2016.
Salah Sarsour is reportedly a former Hamas operative who fundraised for the terror group. He is also an AMP national board member. Sarsour has promoted incitement and expressed support for terrorists and violent activists. He has also denied the Jewish connection to Jerusalem, spread hatred of Israel and praised leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB).
Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 7] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.
The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) is a transnational Islamist organization founded in Egypt in 1928. It was designated as a terrorist organization by Egypt (2013), Saudi Arabia (2014), the United Arab Emirates (2014) and Bahrain (2017). Among its offshoots is Hamas, a terrorist group dedicated to Israel’s destruction.
On December 12, 2023, during Israel's war against Hamas terrorists, Sarsour posted on Instagram: "For the last two months, you have heard the criminalization and vilification of any Palestinian or pro-Palestinian protester who chants/says 'from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free...'"
“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.
On May 26, 2024, Sarsour posted on Facebook: "I will never ever forgive or forget....this is a full blown genocide by an apartheid state that must by [sic] dismantled. Every day, the State of Israel mass murders our people..."
On February 4, 2025, Sarsour posted on Facebook a graphic with text that read, referring to the "right of return": "The Palestinians will NEVER give up our lands. We will return..."
The “right of return” is a Palestinian demand discredited as a means to eliminate Israel. International law mandates no absolute right of return and UN Resolution 194, which defined principles for “refugees wishing to return to their homes,” was unanimously rejected by Arab nations following the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
On November 20, 2016, Sarsour commented on an Instagram post, referring to Louis Farrakhan: "...the brother does not age. God bless him." Her comment was in response to a since-deleted post showing Louis Farrakhan shaking hands with Sarsour’s Women’s March co-organizer Carmen Perez.
Louis Farrakhan has been the leader of the Nation of Islam (NOI), which is considered the “largest Black nationalist organization in the U.S.,” since 1977. Farrakhan spreads antisemitism and anti-white theology. He has referred to white people as “devils” and labeled [00:01:52] Jews “termites.” He has also said [00:00:01]: “The satanic Jews…control everything and mostly everybody."
On July 14, 2016, Sarsour posted on X, referring to Sultan Muhammad, head of NOI’s international headquarters Mosque Maryam in Chicago, Illinois, who has spread anti-Semitism on social media: "I found @ImamSultanM on this #MPower100 list. Well deserved brother ..."
Sarsour's post included a link to an MPower Change page that praised Muhammad for having “worked tirelessly in helping connect the NOI to the larger Muslim community.”
On October 10, 2015, Sarsour spoke at a NOI rally in Washington, D.C., where she said [00:00:36]: "The same people who justify the massacres of Palestinian people and call it ‘collateral damage,’ are the same people who justify the murder of black young men and women."
On July 28, 2014, Sarsour posted on X: "Israel should give free citizenship to US politicians. They are more loyal to Israel than they are to the American people."
The concept of “dual loyalty” is an anti-Semitic accusation that alleges Jews are more loyal to Israel than to their own nations.
On May 28, 2013, Sarsour posted on X, referring to Sultan Muhammad: "@Brotherimam_NOI I miss you Sultan! Hope to see you soon!" Sarsour was responding to a post from Mohammad that said: "@lsarsour my favorite Hijabi, lol!..."
On July 22, 2024, during Israel's war against Hamas, Sarsour posted on Facebook a flyer about Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu with text that read: "ARREST NETANYAHU! SURROUND THE CAPITOL." Sarsour wrote, regarding Netanyahu: "...A war criminal is coming to town..."
On February 11, 2024, Sarsour referred to the IDF on Instagram as the "Israeli Occupation forces" and accused them of committing "war crimes."
“Israeli Occupation Forces,” or “IOF,” is a derogatory name for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) used by anti-Israel activists to demonize Israel’s army.
On February 4, 2024, Sarsour posted on Instagram: "So the USA, UK and others DEFUNDED the largest and most critical relief agency in Gaza based on allegations only? Israel has yet to show UNRWA any evidence?? The move to stop funding UNRWA was already inhumane and callous but this makes it even more outrageous. Disgusting..."
The United Nations Relief Works Agency (UNRWA) has been infiltrated by Palestinian terrorist organizations to wage war against Israel under the guise of UN immunities.
UNRWA employs terrorists who indoctrinate children to hate Jews and kill Israelis. UNRWA facilities, schools and medical clinics are systematically used as terrorist command centers and weapons depots.
UNRWA also provided electricity to Hamas’s main data center and UNRWA employees have kidnapped and held hostage Israeli civilians.
On May 7, 2021, Sarsour posted on X: "I want you to imagine for one second that someone comes to forcibly remove you from your home to make it their own...This is what is happening to Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah & for over 73 years at the hands of the State of Israel."
In May 2021, calls to “save” Sheikh Jarrah, a Jerusalem neighborhood at the center of a property dispute, led to violence against Israelis and were one of the leading factors in Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists firing over 4,300 rockets from Gaza into Israel that month.
On December 3, 2019, Sarsour posted on X: "...Zionism is the dispossession, displacement, and dehumanization of our people."
On December 2, 2019, Sarsour was featured in a YouTube video speaking at the AMP national conference. In her speech, Sarsour claimed [00:02:05] that Israel "is built on supremacy...is built on the idea that Jews are supreme [sic.] to everybody else."
On May 27, 2017, Sarsour posted on X: "If u find yourself quoting white supremacists, known racists, homophobes, right wing zionists - you may wanna STOP & RETHINK what ur saying."
On September 15, 2015, Sarsour posted on X: "Palestinian women protecting Al Aqsa mosque with their bodies. #beautiful #courage #Palestine."
The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state. Such propaganda has led to multiple periods of violence against Israeli civilians.
On October 31, 2012, Sarsour posted on X: "Nothing is creepier than Zionism..."
On October 29, 2011, Sarsour posted on X: "#YouKnowWhatIHateTheMost is racists, bigots and zionists. Yes they can be all in the same [sic]."
On February 24, 2025, Sarsour was tagged as a collaborator on an Instagram post that said: "Our resistance to Trump 2.0 includes steadfast organizing against the U.S.’s role in the genocide in Gaza and the threat of forcible transfer of Palestinians. Trump announced a plan...to expel over 2 million Palestinians to Jordan and Egypt. This 'plan' is ethnic cleansing..."
On February 13, 2021, Sarsour posted on X: "Nothing new to see here. Another white man criminal getting away with everything. Welcome to America."
On January 30, 2021, Sarsour posted on X: "...DEFUND THE POLICE in ever [sic] city in America..."
On September 29, 2020, Sarsour posted on X: "Police unions are the most racist organizations in America and it’s no surprise that some of the largest police unions support Donald Trump. We don’t need ‘em..."
On August 14, 2019, Sarsour was featured in a YouTube video speaking at the DSA National Convention 2019. In her speech, she compared U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to Nazi secret police, referring [00:05:43] to it as "Gestapo ICE."
On May 29, 2015, Sarsour posted on X: "I am an American and I won't own white supremacy, structural deep rooted racism, bigotry. This is America, but it's #NotMyAmerica."
In a September 20, 2025, panel discussion, Sarsour said [00:00:33], referring to the campaign backing to elect Mamdani: "The Unity and Justice Fund PAC [Political Action Committee], which is the CAIR Super PAC...was the largest institutional donor to the pro-Zohran PAC in New York."
On November 4, 2025, the Daily Guardian reported that "Public campaign records show that the Unity and Justice Fund PAC contributed approximately $120,000 to a Lower Costs PAC supporting Mamdani."
On July 18, 2025, Sarsour posted on Facebook: "Feeling very proud of the Arab American & Muslim American community & the many who see the rise of Zohran Mamdani as more than just winning a local NYC race but a way to demonstrate principles and values that center dignity and human rights."
On June 25, 2025, Sarsour posted on Facebook: "The accomplishment wasn’t just that Zohran Mamdani is now the official Democratic nominee for mayor - it’s how. / Billionaires spent $25M against this movement and they failed..."
On June 23, 2025, Sarsour posted on Facebook: "5 years ago today when Zohran took the chance to run against an incumbent Assemblymember and won.
we are praying he does it again!"
On June 10, 2025, Sarsour posted on Instagram: "...It’s up to all of us to VOTE and convince everyone we love, we work with, our neighbors to vote for Zohran Mamdani and rank him NUMBER ONE..."
On March 22, 2025, the New York Post reported that Sarsour donated $2,100 to Mamdani's mayoral campaign, "the maximum allowed by law."
On June 23, 2021, Sarsour shared on X Mamdani's post that said, referring to a neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York: "May you all be so lucky to live in Astoria, where we will now have an @nycDSA elected at every level of government..." and wrote: "One day my dream will come true in my district. So happy for our Arab and Muslim communities in Astoria!"
On June 15, 2021, Sarsour shared on X Mamdani's post that said: "We passed A6267, the Public Participation in Rulemaking bill!...I'm proud that it's the first bill I've passed!" and wrote: "We are proud of YOU!"
On November 3, 2020, Sarsour shared on X Mamdani's post that said: "It's official: we won. / I'm going to Albany to fight to tax the rich, heal the sick, house the poor & build a socialist New York..." Sarsour wrote: "I am SO PROUD. ."
On June 24, 2020, Sarsour posted on X: "I want the whole world to know how proud I am of @ZohranKMamdani. That’s all."
On June 23, 2020, Sarsour posted on X: "So proud of @ZohranKMamdani. He’s leading so far but no matter what happens he’s a winner and made our community so proud. Let’s do this fam!"
In August 2019, Sarsour was featured as a speaker at the DSA National Convention held in Atlanta, Georgia. In her speech, she said [00:11:25]: "I'm a monthly donor to DSA, and I'm very proud of that. And I don't do that for many organizations. And I also donated here today."
Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is America’s largest socialist organization. Its core ideology includes anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-Western and abolitionist elements.
Following the October 7, 2023, Hamas terror attacks against Israel, DSA condemned Israel, expressed support for Hamas, endorsed anti-Israel rallies and called for members to engage in anti-Israel activism. It condemned Israeli retaliatory attacks against the IRGC and Hezbollah, as well as the U.S. attacks against the Houthi terror organization, whose slogan reads: "...Death to America / Death to Israel / A Curse upon the Jews...”
DSA first endorsed the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement in 2017 and it has also condemned sanctions against countries like Iran and Cuba.
The group endorses far-left politicians on the local, state and federal levels. DSA also promotes anti-Israel agitators, including DSA members Rashida Tlaib, Zohran Mamdani and Linda Sarsour.
Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA), DSA’s youth section active in high schools and colleges, has co-organized anti-Israel protests across the U.S. since October 7, 2023, particularly the April 2024 pro-terror encampments on university campuses.
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
