Amira Hassan
Amira Hassan is the political director of Peace, Accountability, and Leadership PAC (PAL PAC), a far-left political action committee dedicated to electing far-left politicians, including Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) leaders who run as Democrats. She has also financed other far-left PACs and DSA politicians.
PAL PAC is part of a broader political network seeking to bring down the "American Empire" from within. To learn more, see the Canary Mission campaign The Machine Behind the Democratic Party's Radical Transformation.
Hassan has called for Israel's destruction in October 2023. She has also dismissed Hamas terrorism and spread hatred of Israel and America. She is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
The profilee's activism occurred during an extended period of global antisemitism that began with the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds. Israel immediately launched a war against Hamas in Gaza.
As of October 2026, Hassan's X said she was the policy director of the anti-Israel Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) and was located in Washington, D.C.
As of October 2026, Hassan was listed on the Federal Election Commission (FEC) website as having donated in 2025 to Justice Democrats.
Justice Democrats is a far-left PAC that is part of a broader political network seeking to bring down the "American Empire" from within. One of its co-founders honored a communist mass murderer and spread hatred of America. To learn more, see the Canary Mission campaign The Machine Behind the Democratic Party's Radical Transformation.
As of the same date, Hassan was listed on the FEC website as having made multiple donations in 2026 to the campaign of a far-left DSA candidate, Darializa Avila Chevalier.
DSA's anti-capitalist ideology features anti-American, anti-police and abolitionist elements. DSA also called for Israel's destruction and justified terrorism two days after Hamas murdered 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023.
As of August 2026, IMEU's website stated that they support the Palestinian "right of return" and oppose Israel's "occupation."
The “right of return” is a Palestinian demand discredited as a means to eliminate Israel. It is often expressed by showing a key symbol or emoji. International law mandates no absolute right of return and UN Resolution 194, which defined principles for “refugees wishing to return to their homes,” was rejected by all Arab nations following the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
Anti-Israel activists spread antisemitism by denying Jewish history and religious rights to the Land of Israel in order to portray Jews as foreigners. They do this to delegitimize restored Jewish sovereignty and terms they use include accusing Israel of "colonialism," "occupation," and "imperialism."
Also as of August 2026, IMEU's website contained materials for journalists promoting the narrative of "Nakba" and allegations that Israel commits "genocide" and "apartheid" against Palestinians.
The term “Nakba” is generally translated as “catastrophe” in Arabic, referring to the outcome of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It is a term used to delegitimize the creation of the State of Israel by drawing a comparison to the Holocaust, known in Hebrew as the Shoah, meaning “catastrophe.”
On October 16, 2023, Hassan participated in an anti-Israel protest outside the White House, holding a handmade sign that said: "Free Palestine."
“Free Palestine!” is a chant used to call for Israel's destruction, acting as a shorter version of "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free!" It was shouted during multiple deadly attacks on pro-Israel activists in 2025 in America. It has been used to vandalize synagogues and other Jewish-owned property, and is described as a "battle cry for the death of Jews.”
On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped 251 and wounded thousands. War crimes included various systematic sexual crimes like gang rape and genital mutilation. Men and women were violated, even after being murdered. Victims who survived that day, including hostages, endured forms of humiliation and torture.
Gazans working in the targeted Israeli villages provided intelligence to Hamas on which families to kill and torture, including long-time employers. Many Palestinian civilians joined in and celebrated the attacks. Hamas livestreamed their crimes on social media, including to victims’ accounts for families to see. To learn more, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
On June 9, 2024, during the term of Democratic President Joe Biden, Hassan posted on X: "The White House has made it clear that they are committed to BUT HAMASing their way through this genocide. No real action to bring about a ceasefire..."
Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. It is a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, has promoted antisemitism on religious grounds, and has called for a global caliphate and the destruction of the State of Israel.
Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians in mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has kidnapped children, families and the elderly, holding them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 7] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.
On April 20, 2026, Hassan posted on X: "It’s great that folks no longer want to subsidize Israel’s genocide with US tax dollars…but let’s not lose the plot here. If you are still advocating for weapons to be sold to Israel you are not serious about ending the genocide, illegal land theft, occupation and apartheid."
Hassan's same April 2026 post said: "It used to be taboo to even think about touching Iron Dome Funding...It's significant that that taboo is being lifted."
The Iron Dome is an Israeli missile defense system designed to intercept and destroy rockets and artillery shells.
On March 18, 2026, Hassan posted on X: "There’s little political incentive to go along with AIPAC’s preferred policy position of 'unconditional support for Israel' aka genocide& apartheid once in Congress."
Also on March 18, 2026, Hassan posted on X: "AIPAC is toxic..."
The implication that AIPAC buys political support for Israel has been described as playing into “anti-Semitic tropes” that led to “centuries of stereotypes about Jews using money to control the world.”
On February 1, 2026, Hassan posted on X: "As small businesses close in Minneapolis, my neighbors continue to get abducted and maimed in the streets by Trump’s goons, and our democracy is in hospice care…Schumer’s top priority is to send more tax dollars to Israel…so they can keep their genocide & apartheid going."
On July 29, 2025, Hassan posted on X, referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "You really really should only be seen taking a photo with Bibi if you are putting handcuffs on him."
On December 25, 2023, during Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza, Hassan posted on X: "Israel is just trying to figure out the logistics for the ethnic cleansing…but fear not, Israel is very committed to the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians …it’s plan A, B, and C. Kill, starve, destroy, ethnic cleanse."
On October 13, 2025, Hassan posted on X: "...Trump term one and Trump term two were brought to you by the Adelsons’ unwavering commitment to apartheid, occupation, and genocide."
Sheldon and Miriam Adelson are Jewish philanthropists who have advocated for U.S. support of Israel. Sheldon Adelson passed away in 2021.
On July 22, 2025, Hassan facilitated a "Block the Bombs" event about an initiative to prevent the Trump administration from sending weapons to Israel.
As of February 27, 2026, Amira Hassan was listed as political director of PAL PAC. The group's director, Margaret DeReus, reportedly said: "PAL PAC was founded with a defining priority: to end Israel's ongoing human rights abuses against Palestinians and stop US complicity in and backing of Israel's apartheid system, illegal theft of Palestinian land, and genocide against Palestinians."
As of May 2026, Amira Hassan was a donor to the campaign of DSA congressional candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier, who has promoted hatred of America and expressed support for terrorists.
Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is America’s largest socialist organization. Its core ideology includes anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-Western and abolitionist elements. In August 2025, DSA passed “For a Fighting Anti-Zionist DSA,” making support for Israel an expellable offense. DSA has also called to “abolish I.C.E. and capitalism.”
Following the October 7, 2023, Hamas terror attacks against Israel, DSA condemned Israel, expressed support for Hamas, endorsed anti-Israel rallies and called for members to engage in anti-Israel activism. It condemned Israeli retaliatory attacks against the IRGC and Hezbollah, as well as the U.S. attacks against the Houthi terror organization, whose slogan reads: "...Death to America / Death to Israel / A Curse upon the Jews...”
DSA first endorsed the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement in 2017 and it has also condemned sanctions against countries like Iran and Cuba.
The group endorses far-left politicians on the local, state and federal levels. DSA also promotes anti-Israel agitators, including DSA members Rashida Tlaib, Zohran Mamdani and Linda Sarsour.
Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA), DSA’s youth section active in high schools and colleges, has co-organized anti-Israel protests across the U.S. since October 7, 2023, particularly the April 2024 pro-terror encampments on university campuses.
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
