Sam Westphal joined in at least three anti-Israel events in New York City in 2023. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) chapter in the city (NYC-DSA) organized the events in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. One was in October 2023 and another in December 2023.
The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.
NYC-DSA is an anti-American and anti-Israel activist group. It celebrated the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023, by holding a rally the next day.
