Spreading Anti-Semitism
On December 14, 2016, Should wrote on Facebook: “the people robbing artists from their hardearned money happen to really be Jewish execs.”
Support for Terrorists
“Dignity Strike” refers to a hunger strike initiated by Marwan Barghouti on April 16, 2017. More than 1,000 Palestinian prisoners participated in the strike – most them also convicted for acts of terrorism. Barghouti headed the Palestinian Authority (PA) terrorist Tanzim force and founded the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. He was sentenced to five consecutive life terms by an Israeli civilian court for some of his crimes, including his role in the Sbarro Cafe bombing.
On March 7, 2017, Shouly posted on Facebook: “And if you're not as aggressive about liberation as#باسل_الثائر (Basel Al-Araj) was.. then we'll never be free.”
Basel Al Araj was killed in a shoot-out with Israeli troops during an arrest raid. He had been suspected of belonging to a terror cell planning to carry out attacks on Israeli targets. Two M-16 assault rifles and an improvised Carlo-style submachine gun were found inside his home.
On October 20, 2016, Shouly shared a post to Facebook that included an article about Raheeq Yousef.
Promoting the Violent March of Return
On May 16, 2018, a Hamas senior official, Salah al-Bardawil, stated that 50 out of 62 protesters killed during the May 14 Gaza border protest were Hamas operatives. Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) also claimed that three of its members were killed at the same protest.
The event’s Facebook description said: “protestors have been met with unimaginable brutality with over 50 killed and 2700 inured. This latest massacre comes on the heels of five weeks of sustained Palestinian protest demanding the right of return.”
On May 15, 2018, Shouly posted to Facebook “the massacring [sic] of Palestinians today by Israeli forced is bigger than you and I...I hope the resistance finds its way to the political and public spheres for real change.”
On May 23, 2018, Shouly wrote on Facebook: “When you think Houston is safe for your propaganda crap - and you’re met with chants! Stay woke UofHouston 💙” and shared video footage of SJP agitators at the University of Houston (UH) disrupting a speech given by then-U.S Ambassador to the U.N., Nikki Haley on May 22, 2018.
SJP UH activists led chants of [00:00:25] “Nikki Nikki can’t you see? You allowed a killing spree” as well as [00:00:33] “Haley Haley you can’t hide, you signed off on genocide!” After law officials escorted them out of the auditorium, SJP UH protestors chanted [00:01:55] “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free!”
Spreading Incitement Against Israel
On July 24, 2017, Shouly posted to Facebook: “تصبحون على وطن” along with a video claiming that “Muslims in Palestine are refusing to pray in Masjid Al Aqsa [Al Aqsa Mosque] after Israeli forces placed new hardline restrictions on those entering.”The video also noted that the Israeli army shut down Al Aqsa, signalling [00:00:32] “the first time the Masjid has been closed in 48 years.” The video had the caption “Never surrender Masjid Al Aqsa..”
Israel launched OPD to stop Hamas rocket attacks on Israeli civilians from Gaza. Over the course of eight days in November 2012, Palestinian terrorist groups fired more than 1,500 rockets at Israel. The majority struck Israel, damaging homes, schools and other civilian areas. Human Rights Watch noted: “Palestinian armed groups made clear in their statements that harming civilians was their aim.”
Endorsing Anti-Israel Agitators
On February 5, 2018, Shouly shared Bassem Tamimi’s petition, in Arabic, to Facebook which called to free his daughter, Ahed.
Bassem Tamimi has exploited young children as political props in staged confrontations with Israeli soldiers. In 2011, he was jailed for organizing violent rallies and inciting minors to commit violent crimes such as rock-throwing.
Tamimi’s United States visa was revoked in 2015, for his failure to disclose his prior arrest and conviction. Prior to the revocation of his U.S. visa, Tamimi delivered a controversial presentation to third-graders in Ithaca, New York. The presentation was geared to foster hatred of Israel and Tamimi concluded by encouraging [00:11:29] the children to become “freedom fighters for Palestine.”
Tamimi’s United States visa was revoked in 2015 after he encouraged third graders in Ithaca, New York to become “freedom fighters for Palestine.”
On January 4, 2018, Shouly posted to Facebook: “انا لسا عم بستنى الحبكة الامري-صهيونية لموضوع عهد التميمي. مستغرب من تعاطف وسائل الإعلام الغربية حتى الان.. و مش مرتاح! الي عندو اَي مقالات من الي احنا متعودين عليه يتركه تحت! [’m still waiting for the American-Zionist pot regarding the topic ‘Ahed Tamimi’. Surprised from the sympathy of Western media until now…and not comfortable! Whoever has any articles from the ones we’re used to, leave it down below]”
On December 20, 2017, Shouly posted a photo of Tamimi to Facebook and wrote: “Ahed Tamimi, 16 years old. Arrested by Israeli authorities yesterday. I think she embodies the conflict, personifies it even, just by being the young rebellious soul that she is. Falasteen lives on!”
On May 14, 2017, Shouly wrote to Facebook: “‘بفضعرضك’[“answer him like a dog] 💙.” Shouly’s post also shared a video of Ahed Tamimi engaged in an altercation with Israeli soldiers with the caption: “رد عليه زي "الكلب [I will break your honour] Ahed Tamimi الطفلة [the child] Nariman Tamimi ربنا يحميها وعظم الله اجركم بشهيد اليوم [may the lord protect her and may allah reward you greatly for today’s martyr].”
On May 1, 2017, Shouly shared to Facebook a video that featured Janna Jihad Ayyad. Ayyad reported on a demonstration in support of prisoners she called [00:00:08] “the freedom fighters.” The prisoners were participating in Marwan Barghouti's hunger strike, many were convicted for acts of terrorism.
Janna Jihad Ayyad Al-Tamimi, also known as Janna Jihad, is an anti-Israel youth activist. She is a relative of Palestinian propagandist Bassem Tamimi, who is notorious for exploiting young children as political props by manufacturing confrontations with Israeli soldiers who respond to the riots that Tamimi organizes.
Supporting BDS
On July 3, 2016, Shouly shared an article on Facebook about the Iceland’s capital city passing a BDS motion and said: “Apartheid is felt anywhere, and if this is correct, we can say a lot about the general Icelandic character.”
On July 1, 2016, Shouly shared an AJ+ video promoting BDS and condemning New York (NY) Governor Andrew Cuomo’s anti-BDS Executive Order 157 and said: “يسعد قلبك انتي [May He gladden your heart] All the 'News' suck.. let that sink inn..”
On June 7, 2016 , Shouly wrote on Facebook: “To all the fake ARABS that mocked and undermined the power of boycott and divestment!” and shared an AJ+ Arabic a video promoting BDS and condemning NY Governor Andrew Cuomo’s anti-BDS Executive Order 157.

Radical hope is all we got and we support our cause at any cost.”
SJP SXU - Supporting Terrorist Rasmea Odeh
On February 3, 2015, SJP SXU promoted a fundraising dinner organized by SJP Chicago to support Rasmea Odeh.
On March 12, 2015, SJP SXU tweeted "We want #Justice4Rasmea NOW.’’
Odeh was a key military operative [00:02:08]with the terrorist group the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). In 1969, Odeh masterminded a PFLP bombing that killed two college students in a Jerusalem supermarket. Odeh also attempted to bomb the British consulate.
Odeh confessed, in a highly detailed account, the day following her arrest. In a 2004 documentary, one of Odeh’s co-conspirators directly implicated [00:10:53] Odeh as the mastermind.
In 1970, an Israeli court tried and convicted Odeh for her involvement in both bombings and sentenced her to life imprisonment. However, Odeh was released 10 years later, in a prisoner swap and emigrated to the United States.
On November 10, 2014, a Michigan federal jury convicted Odeh for immigration fraud because she failed to disclose her prior conviction and life sentence on her immigration application. On March 12, 2015, she was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
In 2017, after an appeal and a lengthy court battle, Odeh admitted to immigration fraud, was stripped of her U.S. citizenship, deported to Jordan and banned from re-entering the U.S.
SJP SXU - Demonizing Israel
On April 11, 2016, SXU SJP erected a display as part of Palestine Awareness Week, featuring a series of maps that presented lands once controlled by Britain, Egypt and Jordan as autonomous "Palestinian land" purportedly stolen by Israel.
In February of 2016, publisher McGraw-Hill Education recalled and destroyed copies of a college level textbook that contained the fraudulent maps. In October 2015, the United States cable news network MSNBC apologized for airing a similar series of maps and retracted them.
On October 5, 2015, SXU SJP posted on Facebook an article by Electronic Intifada that reported on terrorist Fadi Aloon as "being shot in cold blood while posing no threat." Fadi Aloon was shot by Israeli security forces after he stabbed a 15-year old Israeli boy in his chest and back. Several hours before the attack, Aloon posted “Either martyrdom or victory” on his Facebook page.
SXU SJP quoted from the article in their post saying ‘’mainstream US media outlets are actively concealing the alarming displays of genocidal racism emanating from Israeli Jewish society.’’
On July 23, 2014, during Operation Protective Edge (OPE), SXU SJP tweeted "SJP at SXU stands in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza. We condemn the acts of genocide Israel is partaking in #GazaUnderAttack"
SJP SXU - Supporting BDS
In 2015, SXU SJP supported divestment campaigns at a number of universities, including DePaul University, UC Davis and Northwestern.
On May 13, 2015, SXU SJP posted on Facebook, urging followers to ‘’Testify Online Against IL Anti-Boycott Bill! [SB1671] Stop the Politicizing of Our Pension System!’’
On April 13, 2015, SXU SJP held an event called "Make Hummus not Walls" during Palestinian Awareness Week. The event featured an “alternative Hummus tasting” to encourage students to boycott the “immoral, socially irresponsible [Israeli] Sabra Hummus” brand that was sold on campus.
2018 National SJP - Celebrating Violence
Since the early 2000’s, the term “intifada” has carried the connotation of violence. The second intifada was characterized by more than 120 suicide bombings targeting Israeli civilians on buses and in cafes.
Anti-Israel activist Omar Zahzah also reportedly [00:00:07] led National SJP attendees in chanting, in Arabic, “With our bodies and our blood, we will free Palestine.”
As of November 2018, the 2018 National SJP website glorified “radical hope and upfront defiance of Zionism,” citing as examples the “early revolts through the Intifadas to the Great Return March.”
The Great Return March of 2018 was organized and funded by the terror group Hamas as a campaign of violent protests along Israel’s border to spotlight the demand of Palestinians to “return” to Israel.
Tens of thousands of rioters gathered on Israel’s Gaza border, attempting numerous breaches of Israel’s border fence, with leaders andparticipants declaring their intention to harm Jews.
National SJP originally promoted a conference logo featuring a keffiyeh-wearing bear, looking toward a kite bearing the colors of the Palestinian flag.
On October 27, 2018, National SJP said the kite signified “the power in the Gaza March of Return.”
Since March 2018, March of Return participants and Hamas’s “Kite Unit” have sent hundreds of kites bearing incendiary devices and IEDs (improvised explosive devices) across the border into Israel to terrorize Israelis. The kites are often marked with swastikas.
By the time National SJP produced its 2018 conference logo highlighting the kites in October 2018, Gazan terror kites and balloons had ignited more than 1,300 fires in Israel, over seven months.
2018 National SJP - Undermining U.S. Support for Israel
On November 18, 2018, the US Palestine Community Network (USPCN) posted on Facebook the 2018 National SJP keynote speech by Hatem Abudayyeh, USPCN’s co-founder.Abudayyeh has supported [00:08:45] convicted terrorists, praised terror organizations, called for Israel’s destruction and is an activist in theBoycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
In his 2018 National SJP Keynote, Abudayyeh said [00:53:01] that the “specific role” of Palestinian and Arab students was to organize [00:53:42] in order to weaken “Zionist Israel” and force [00:54:23] the U.S. to “no longer provide it with diplomatic, political, financial and military cover and support.”
Abudayyeh predicted [00:55:37] that once U.S. support to Israel ends, National SJP attendees would return to Palestine as “conquering heroes,” end [00:54:38] the “occupation and colonization of all Arab lands including the Golan Heights” and replace “Zionist Israel” with a Palestinian state.
2018 National SJP - Whitewashing Terror Organizations
During his keynote speech, Abudayyeh also painted [00:14:01] terrorist organizations as “liberation movements” and “resistance organizations,” stating [00:14:21] “what we also know is that the majority of the resistance organizations in Palestine are on the U.S. state department list of foreign terrorist organizations.”Abudayyeh also celebrated [00:52:00] that all of the “armed resistance” organizations in Gaza are part [00:52:14] of a “unified resistance in Gaza, that includes all of the resistance organizations, working together under a unified military command.”
2018 National SJP - Defending Terrorist Rasmea Odeh
During his keynote speech, Abudayyeh claimed [00:08:28] that pro-Israel organizations “go after students like you,” adding [00:08:20] “just like they went after my friend and colleague, Rasmea Odeh.”2018 National SJP - Demonizing Israel and Jews
During his keynote speech, Abudayyeh defended [00:27:25] the “Irvine 11” — eleven Muslim Student Union (MSA) members who were arrested in 2010 for repeatedly shouting down former Israeli ambassador Michael Oren during an address at the University of California at Irvine (UC Irvine).Abudayyeh referred [00:27:37] to Oren as a “racist fascist speaker, representative of a racist, fascist country.”
Abudayyeh went on to claim [00:29:48] that “today, even in the United States, Israel is finally being seen as the criminal, apartheid, racist state that it is.”
Abudayyeh also called for increased action in the face of President U.S. Donald Trump, and referred [00:48:41] to Jared Kushner, Trump’s Jewish son-in-law and senior advisor, as “that pig son-in-law of his.”
2018 National SJP - Excluding Students
The 2018 National SJP Conference welcomed only students who were verified and vouched for by an SJP (or otherwise named campus Palestine solidarity group). Media requests needed to be “approved by the NSJP press team” prior to the conference.A November 7, 2018 Columbus Jewish News article reported that the Los Angeles City Council unanimously passed a resolution calling on UCLA to cancel the 2018 NSJP conference, stating that a “public university should not allow any group to implement a litmus test for event participation on their campus.”
On November 12, 2018, UCLA Chancellor Gene Block published an op-ed in the Los Angeles Times that criticized National SJP’s exclusion of members of pro-Israel student groups.
SJP
SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.
The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.
SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.
SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
