Khalil Shumba Sulker [Khalil Smalling] participated in at least two Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) events in 2025 in New York City, organized by the city’s DSA chapter (NYC-DSA). Both events were in support of 2025 New York mayoral candidate and DSA member Zohran Mamdani.

NYC-DSA is an anti-American and anti-Israel activist group. It celebrated the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023, by holding a rally the next day.

As of October 2025, Khalil Shumba Sulker's X bio showed a rose emoji, 🌹.

The rose emoji indicates a person is "part of the DSA movement."

Also as of October 2025, Khalil Shumba Sulker's X bio featured a watermelon emoji, and said: "...Jihadist...communist"

The watermelon has been appropriated by terrorists and anti-Israel activists as a symbol of Palestinian "resistance" to "Israeli occupation," as it shares the Pan-Arab colors. It gained widespread popularity and usage following the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023.

As of the same date, Khalil Shumba Sulker’s Facebook page said Sulker was a digital creator and was located in Brooklyn, New York.
