Eli Mosley

Overview

Eli Mosley [Elliott Kline] is CEO of the white nationalist campus organization Identity Evropa (IE). Mosley spreads anti-Semitism and race-based hatred on social media.

Mosley organized and participated in the white nationalist “Unite The Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia on August 11-12, 2017.

Mosley has been the subject of conspiracy theories among some white nationalists that he is Jewish — a claim he has strongly denied.

Mosley has spread conspiracy theories that a white nationalist leader is part of a Jewish plot. Mosley made the claim using the anti-Semitic “echoes” trope that puts three parentheses around a (((name))) to indicate the person is a Jew or part of some nefarious Jewish conspiracy.

Anti-Semitism

On August 24, 2017, Mosley tweeted: “At some point it has become difficult to figure out which ones are our trolls and which ones are actual Jews/liberals.”

On August 9, 2017, Mosley tweeted: “At the end of the day, @willthethinker has proven Jews make broad generalizations because they are terrified the goyim will know...again.”

Goyim is the Hebrew word for “nations” and can be used as a synonym for Gentiles. The term “the goyim know” demonstrates a belief in a Jewish conspiracy of some kind.

Coded Anti-Semitism

On August 10, 2017, Mosley tweeted: “I'll bet you $88 whoever it is that they're Jewish.” The term “88” among white nationalists is slang for “Heil Hitler.” Mosley was responding to a tweet that read: “The real ‘bulldozing’ will happen when you get doxxed [outed publicly]- your anon days are numbered! Watch out!”

On August 10, 2017, Mosley tweeted: “I'll be $88 that the people who run or work here are hipster white liberals. So much for ‘muh diversity food’. I'm going there Saturday.” His tweet referenced a report about a restaurant being a “safe space” ahead of the white nationalist Unite The Right rally.

Mosley uses the anti-Semitic “echoes” trope.

On August 7, 2017, Mosley — after his Twitter account was apparently deletedtweeted: “I fixed that s**t. (((they cant stop me))).”

On August 12, 2017, Mosley tweeted: “The only occupier I see are the (((occupiers))).”

On August 17, 2017, Mosley tweeted about the shutdown of a right-wing news site, stating: “Sad to hear this. Great to meet you and hell of a party. Don't worry though, we'll all make it through this (((s**t))).”

On August 21, 2017, Mosley tweeted: “Oh wow what a (((coincidence))) my 3 year old gmail account was just deleted as well. Good thing I have more and my stuff backed up.”

Spreading Hate

On August 7, 2017, Mosley tweeted: “Check out these colored people in Trump hats! F**KIN BASTE! (please just ignore exit polling data by race please).” He responded to another tweet which stated: “Conservatism is color blind.”

On August 8, 2017, Mosley tweeted: “WE WUZ CIVIL RIGHTS ADVOCATES N SHEEEIT!! *smacks lips*” His tweet was a variation of a popular anti-black meme.

On August 23, 2017, Mosley tweeted: “You haven't heard of Gaybies? Wow what a bigot. Gay men can have butt babies too now. It's 2017. Our grandfathers fought in WWII for it.”

Charlottesville Rally

On August 11-12, 2017, Mosley organized the “Unite The Right” rally in Charlottesville, VA, that attracted the neo-Nazi National Socialist Movement (NSM) and the white separatist League of the South (LS). Mosley organized the rally to protest the planned removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Many supporters brought Confederate flags to the rally.

One neo-Nazi who attended the rally drove his car into a group of counter-protesters, killing one and injuring at least 19. Another 14 were injured in other fighting between white nationalists and leftist counter-protesters.

Identity Evropa - American Identity Movement

Identity Evropa (IE) is an American white nationalist campus organization, founded in March of 2016, by Nathan Damigo. Following the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville in August 2017, Eli Mosley took over IE’s leadership as the CEO of the organization.

IE rebranded itself in March 2019 as the American Identity Movement (AIM) under the new leadership of Patrick Casey.

In August 2017, IE reportedly had “450 dues-paying members on dozens of campuses.” As of the same date, IE was based in Oakdale, California.

IE is known for its anti-Semitic leadership, for partnering with other white nationalist organizations and for its provocative disruptions and public rallies. A slogan often used by the organization, “You Will Not Replace Us,” was used as a call to action against people of color.

The chant became well-known following the violent Charlottesville, Virginia rallies of August 11-12, 2017. At the rally, participants chanted “Jews will not replace us!,” “f**k you faggots!” and “Blood and Soil!" — an English variation of a popular Nazi-era German chant “blut und boden.”

IE campus activism features distinct posters showing white Greek and Roman marble statues and slogans like “PROTECT YOUR HERITAGE” and “OUR DESTINY IS OURS.”

Identity Evropa tweets the hashtag “#FashTheCity,” using the term “Fash” as short for fascist.
