Calla Walsh
Calla Walsh was arrested in two states in late 2023 after Walsh participated in violent anti-Israel incidents where Walsh’s group damaged and vandalized Elbit Systems facilities. Walsh faces multiple charges, including riot, sabotage and vandalizing property.
Walsh’s arrests occurred during an Israeli war against Hamas terrorists after the Hamas massacre of 1,200 Israeli Jews on October 7, 2023.
Walsh has also encouraged others to engage in anti-Israel violence with Palestine Action US, a group where Walsh was a founding organizer. The group calls itself a “direct action network dismantling Elbit Systems and the Zionist War Machine.” Elbit Systems Ltd. is a defense manufacturing company based in Haifa, Israel.
Walsh’s group is part of the broader Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
In October 2023, Palestine Action US described posters raising awareness of Israelis kidnapped by Hamas terrorists as an “atrocity propaganda blitz & psychological warfare,” on Twitter. The tweet also urged people to rip down the posters and praised anyone who ripped them down as “heroes.”
Hamas kidnapped the civilians, including women, children and the elderly, during a series of terror atrocities and war crimes that left over 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded. Hamas executed the terror attacks on October 7, 2023. Other Hamas war crimes included mass murder, torture, rape and beheadings. Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron.”
Walsh, who also goes by Cala Mairead Walsh, has used Twitter to spread hatred of the police and America. Walsh has also idolized a domestic terrorist, showed support for a terrorist organization and justified violence. Additionally, Walsh has promoted an anti-Semitic campaign and spread hatred of Israel and Zionism.
As of June 2022, Walsh was an organizer with the BDS movement and was a member of BDS Boston. Also that month, Walsh promoted the Mapping Project, a BDS Boston campaign targeting Jewish and pro-Israel institutions in Massachusetts.
On November 20, 2023, Walsh was reportedly arrested for a violent incident organized by Palestine Action US at Elbit’s subsidiary, Elbit Systems of America, in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
Palestine Action US activists blocked the company’s driveway and defaced the building with graffiti in red spray paint that said: “GENOCIDE PROFITEERS” and “FREE GAZA.” They reportedly smashed windows and skylights. They also caused damage to HVAC equipment and set off incendiary devices while on the building’s roof.
Walsh accessed the building’s roof, leading to Walsh’s arrest by the Merrimack Police Department. Walsh was one of three people who were reportedly “all charged with Riot, Sabotage, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespass, and Disorderly Conduct.”
On October 30, 2023, Walsh was arrested at a protest organized by Palestine Action US at the Elbit Systems of America facility in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Palestine Action US activists breached metal barricades erected by the police and vandalized Elbit’s offices, with some protesters reportedly “throwing smoke pellets, eggs and other things at officers and the building, police said. One officer was knocked to the ground, and another was hit in the chest with a smoke pellet, police said.”
Walsh was one of three people who were reportedly “charged with vandalizing property and disorderly conduct.”
Walsh wrote in a December 13, 2023 tweet that Walsh’s next court dates were set for January 24, 2024, in New Hampshire and for February 16, 2024, in Massachusetts. Walsh is represented in court by anti-Israel professor and attorney Carlton E. Willams.
Walsh said in multiple tweets that Walsh was issued a “stay-away order from every location of Elbit Systems” within a 300-foot radius, in addition to Walsh’s probation.
On November 17, 2023, Walsh spoke [00:24:40] in an interview about Walsh's arrest during a similarly violent incident at an Elbit facility in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in October 2023.
Walsh said: “The reality is there’s a genocide going on, and it’s about time we put our bodies on the line. When I was in jail, what I was thinking was that I would be ready to do it again and again and again and again until we shut these factories down. Anyone listening who has an Elbit Factory or another genocide profiteer in their neighborhood, we encourage you to take action right now to get organized and shut it down.”
As of November 21, 2023, the Palestine Action US website featured a document called “THE UNDERGROUND MANUAL.” The document detailed how to plan an [p. 5] “ACTION” against a [p. 3] “TARGET” like Elbit or another [p. 12] “complicit company.” The manual teaches how to avoid police detection, including destroying evidence.
On July 27, 2025, Walsh posted on X: “I don't care what date it was, how delicately worded it was, or whether you built some pro-Palestine career afterwards. If you ever condemned Hamas or the Al-Aqsa Flood even once, you helped manufacture consent for this genocide and you have blood on your hands.”
On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.
For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
The language of “flood” is a reference to Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the name Hamas used for their terror operation on October 7, 2023. It is a reference to the allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque. This accusation has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before Israel was founded in 1948. Such propaganda has led to multiple periods of violence against Israeli civilians.
On July 17, 2025, Walsh was featured in an Instagram video speaking about her experience visiting [slide 13] Iran as "part of a 15-member journalist team that has traveled...for the event titled 'Condemnation of Terrorism Against Media,' hosted by the Sobh Media Center, Iran's state broadcaster, and affiliated with the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) World Service.
The July 17-21, 2025, event was part of an effort to turn international opinion against Israel and to "commemorate media martyrs" after Israel's recent twelve-day war against Iran.
On June 13, 2025, Israel attacked Iran's nuclear facilities after Israeli intelligence stated Iran was "within 15 days" of creating a nuclear bomb.
Israel conducted over 1,500 airstrikes in 12 days, destroying or damaging Iran's nuclear, military and ballistic missile infrastructure. Israel eliminated 11 nuclear scientists, over 30 senior military commanders and hundreds of IRGC members. The war was officially called "Operation Rising Lion."
Iran retaliated with 1,600 missiles and drones, of which Israel intercepted over 95 percent. Iran targeted military sites, civilian apartment buildings and a hospital. 28 Israelis were killed and 3,343 injured.
On June 22, 2025, the U.S. bombed five Iranian nuclear sites with bunker-buster bombs and cruise missiles, then brokered a June 24, 2025 ceasefire.
Speaking about her experience in Iran, reportedly “standing at the IRGC aerospace expo, with missiles in the background,” Walsh said [00:00:01]: “I think it is the greatest honor of my life to be visiting the Islamic Republic of Iran right now, in this moment, while it is under genocidal siege by the United States, by the Zionist entity [Israel].”
Walsh then said [00:00:16]: “It is a great honor to be surrounded by the indigenously-produced drones and missiles and military equipment that are actively resisting this genocide and imperialism. And, unfortunately, most people in my country, the United States, are fed lots of propaganda about the reality in Iran and they are pushed to support this warfare against Iran that our country is enacting.”
Walsh concluded by saying [00:00:51]: “No matter where we are in the globe…We all have a duty to take part in anti-Zionist, anti-imperialist resistance to build an international popular cradle of resistance…”
Anti-Israel activists use the term “resistance” to refer to violence and terror perpetrated against Israeli civilians and their allies. It is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence. Anti-Israel activists chant slogans such as: “Resistance by any means necessary!” and “Resistance is justified when people are occupied!” in response to terror attacks.
Iran has supplied over 20 political and militia groups in the Middle East with arms, military training and financial aid. These groups include Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Shiite militia groups in Iraq and Syria. They have been acting on behalf of Iran since the 1980s, carrying out attacks on the Kurdish population of Iraq, supporting Syria's regime, participating in the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel and perpetrating many other attacks in the Middle East.
On November 11, 2024, Walsh posted on X: “‘The genocide was happening well before October 7th and what has happened, the burst in the movement, this global rupture that the al-Aqsa Flood created, is because of the resistance. That’s why we’re all in the streets, is because of the resistance.’ Me in interview with @Seamus_Malek…”
Walsh retweeted an October 23, 2023 tweet from Palestine Action US about students ripping down posters raising awareness of Israeli civilians kidnapped by Hamas. The tweet said: “The students taking these actions are heroes. Tear down these Zionist propaganda posters wherever you see them. Fight back against the atrocity propaganda blitz & psychological warfare being used to manufacture consent for Israel’s genocide of Palestine.”
On the same date, Walsh retweeted a video featured in the above tweet, which showed Boston University (BU) student Anna Epstein ripping down the posters. Walsh commented: “She seems super cool, how do I be her friend?”
On October 12, 2023, a few days after the unprecedented massacre of Israeli Jewish civilians by Hamas, Walsh poured [slide 2, slide 8] red paint and blocked [slide 5] the entrance to the Elbit Systems office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Walsh posted on Instagram the photos from the Palestine Action US protest and wrote a comment, accusing Israel of wanting to “mass murder the Palestinian people,” “genocidal siege of Gaza” and “genocidal violence.”
On November 28, 2021, Walsh tweeted: “kill the cop inside your head and kill the boss inside your head.”
On March 7, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “idk who needs to hear this but the cops you are related to are still agents of the ruling class and if you are related to someone becoming a cop you should actively oppose their entry into white supremacist vigilantism.”
On March 21, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “cambridge pigs are still pigs. they serve to protect capital and empire.”
Walsh’s tweet referred to Cambridge police arresting five activists who held a violent protest at a Raytheon Technologies facility.
On October 20, 2021, Walsh tweeted a quote from an article in Hood Communist that said: “‘Understanding fascism as the inevitable systemic conclusion to Americanism is crucial…fascism was built into the American project from day one.’”
Walsh’s tweet included an image equating America with Nazi Germany.
On February 27, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “we do want to abolish the us (founded on genocide and slavery) *and* nato [North Atlantic Treaty Organization] (founded to uphold the colonial hegemony and capitalist dominance of the us/western europe)."
On May 18, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “History makes a lot more sense when you understand the US has never been fundamentally opposed to Nazism, in fact it served as its very inspiration and has been the leading force in keeping Nazism alive after WW2.”
On May 29, 2022, Walsh posted to Twitter a photo of Walsh showing a middle finger with both hands and wrote: “I disrespected the National Anthem so I could go to Cuba and disrespect the US Military, and it was great!!”
On August 24, 2021, Walsh tweeted: “🧵 Just finished ‘Assata,’ political refugee Assata Shakur's autobiography. This is the best book I've read all summer…”
Assata Shakur was convicted of killing a New Jersey state trooper and wounding another in 1973 while a member of the separatist Black Liberation Army (BLA). She escaped from prison in 1979 and fled to Cuba in 1984, where she resides today. She is listed on the FBI Most Wanted Terror List under her legal name, Joanne Deborah Chesimard.
Also on August 24, 2021, Walsh tweeted in the same thread: “As someone going through my own journey of political radicalization and developing my theory of change, it is inspiring to read Assata's narrative of how she learned to reject the racist, anti-communist, and nationalist propaganda she was taught by school/the media…”
On December 27, 2021, Walsh tweeted: “✍️✍️excited to share my latest in @TeenVogue!!i wanted to write about the books that changed my worldview this year. as assata said, ‘nobody is going to give you the education you need to overthrow them’; reading on your own is a great place to start.”
Walsh shared a link to Walsh’s Teen Vogue article, where Walsh promoted Assata Shakur’s autobiography as “useful for a young person still developing their own ideology.”
On March 10, 2025, Walsh posted on X: “I love & support Hamas, PIJ, PFLP, Hezbollah, the Islamic Republic, Ansar Allah, etc & I will say that every day & I kept saying that every day while facing 37 yrs in prison & federal investigation. Speech is not MST. Don't let anyone scare you into silence, be louder than ever.”
Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 7] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.
Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) is a terror group “whose objective is the destruction of the State of Israel and the establishment of a sovereign, Islamic Palestinian state.” PIJ is backed by Iran and has killed dozens of Israelis in suicide bombings and other attacks.
The PFLP has been designated a terrorist organization by the U.S., the EU, the Gulf Cooperation Council, Israel and several other countries. The PFLP pioneered aircraft hijackings, most notably the 1976 capture of an Air France plane they rerouted to Entebbe, Uganda. The PFLP also claimed “credit” for the November 2014 Har Nof Synagogue massacre, in which PFLP operatives murdered six people with a gun, axes and a butcher knife during morning prayers.
Hezbollah has long been known as an anti-Semitic and genocidal terror organization dedicated to destroying Israel.
Walsh reposted a November 5, 2024 post on X that said: “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted For Hamas.”
Walsh reposted an October 30, 2024 post on X that said: “Sheikh Naim Kassem: / We must salute the master of the martyrs of the Resistance Axis, martyr Qassem Soleimani, who paid exceptional efforts and provided all capabilities, unconditionally, and moved from Iran to Syria to Iraq to Lebanon; the entire region, all for the purpose of strengthening the Resistance. What he offered the Palestinian Resistance was not offered by anyone else. Who killed this great martyr? The United States. Why? For the sake of ‘israel’ and the American goals in the region, which he would have stood against and prevented.”
Qasem Soleimani was the commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). In October 2011, the U.S. government added him to the Sanctions List for his involvement in Iran’s illicit nuclear program. Soleimani was killed in an American airstrike in January 2020.
Naim Kassem was appointed as the secretary-general of the terror group Hezbollah on October 29, 2024. He is one of the organization’s co-founders.
On October 29, 2024, Walsh posted on X: “Today, 29 October, is the great martyr Yahya Sinwar’s birthday…16 October, the date of his martyrdom. / 7 October, his flood.”
Yahya (Yehiya) Sinwar masterminded the October 7, 2023 terror attacks on Israel and had been a Hamas leader since the 1980s. Sinwar was nicknamed the “Butcher of Khan Younis” after he admitted to killing 12 suspected Palestinian “collaborators,” and in 1989 was sentenced to four life terms in Israeli prison for crimes including the killing of two Israeli soldiers.
In 2011, Sinwar was released by Israel to Gaza following the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange deal and resumed his leadership role in Hamas. On October 17, 2024, the Israel Defense Forces eliminated Sinwar in Gaza.
On April 13, 2024, Walsh posted on X: “Look at the sacrifices the brave people of Palestine, Iran, Yemen, Iraq, and Syria are making to save the entirety of humankind from imperialist barbarism / People inside the imperial core are not exempted from taking part in resistance / It is actually our duty."
Walsh’s post on X was referring to the April 14, 2024, Iranian missile attack on Israel, which took place early in the morning that day, during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. At the time of the missile attack, it was still April 13, 2024, in the U.S.
On April 14, 2024, Iran fired “Over 350 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, armed drones and rockets” toward Israel in an unprecedented attack. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and several international partners intercepted 99% of the projectiles. The IDF named the operation Iron Shield. The missile attack took place during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Iranian media claimed the attack was in retaliation for an alleged Israeli strike on an Iranian consular building in Damascus, Syria, earlier that month. The Damascus attack killed several members of the designated terrorist organization Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), including a senior commander and a brigadier general.
On April 13, 2024, several hours before the anticipated Iranian missile attack on Israel, Walsh tweeted: “Whatever action Iran chooses to take against ‘Israel’ is entirely justified and self-defensive.”
Also on April 13, 2024, Walsh tweeted: “We must be prepared for the barrage of liberal propaganda portraying Iran as the aggressor and ‘Israel’ as the innocent victim. Truth is on our side.”
On March 21, 2022, Walsh tweeted an image of a 1969 poster by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) that showed a masked man holding a rifle.
The text said: “HE IS NOT A TERRORIST. HE IS A FREEDOM FIGHTER. THE POPULAR FRONT FOR THE LIBERATION OF PALESTINE.”
Also on March 21, 2022, Walsh tweeted an image of a 1977 PFLP poster celebrating the PFLP’s 10th anniversary. Text on the poster said: “The revolution continues for the liberation of man and land.”
On March 30, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “our real enemy is not Israel and Zionism only, it is American Imperialism, who is backing Israel because Israel is a bodyguard for American imperialist interests. — George Habash, founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.”
George Habash, who has been called “the godfather of Middle East terrorism,” was the founder of the terrorist organization the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and the mastermind behind the 1970 Dawson Field hijackings.
On April 12, 2022, Walsh tweeted an image of a PFLP poster and wrote: “PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) poster in Arabic, English, and Russian. Unity of the working class organizations guarantees the continuation of the revolution. Circa 1987.”
On March 21, 2022, Walsh tweeted in support of a violent protest in January 2022, where activists smashed windows and vandalized the London factory of Elbit Systems, an Israeli-owned arms manufacturer.
Walsh’s tweet said: “for anyone wondering about the strategy and efficacy of more militant, high-risk protests within the imperial core, i recommend this @intifada podcast interviewing @Pal_action activists who successfully shut down an Israeli arms factory in the UK [United Kingdom]…”
On April 18, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “...There is no ‘peaceful solution’ under military occupation. One can’t claim to want to see Palestine liberated if one doesnt support Palestinians’ actually means of liberation.”
Walsh retweeted a July 2, 2022 tweet that included a video of Kwame Ture who was asked [00:02:10]: “How far would you go with violence to bring about the revolution?” Carmichael responded [00:02:16]: “All the way, all the way…whatever’s necessary.”
Black Panther Party (BPP) leader Stokely Carmichael [Kwame Ture] coined the phrase: “The only good Zionist is a dead Zionist.” In 1990, he claimed [00:28:33] the term “‘antisemitic’ had no meaning at all,” since Jews “are not even Semites.” In 1970, he called Adolf Hitler a “genius” while he was a guest on a television program.
In June 2022, Walsh showed support multiple times for the Mapping Project campaign that targeted Jewish and pro-Israel institutions in Massachusetts, including schools, synagogues and businesses.
Also that month, Walsh wrote [slide 11] on Instagram that Walsh created BDS Boston graphics in support of the Mapping Project.
On June 3, 2022, BDS Boston began promoting the Mapping Project when the campaign was launched. The campaign’s website said that it wanted to reveal “local institutions responsible for the colonization of Palestine or other harms such as policing, US imperialism, and displacement…so we can dismantle them.”
The Mapping Project website said: “The primary role of police is to maintain colonial and capitalist power relationships through violence and coercion.” The website also said: “We view US police on all levels as white-supremacist, colonial institutions that have no role in our communities; we support non-cooperation, community self-defense, and resistance in all its forms.”
The Mapping Project received condemnation from Massachusetts lawmakers, national publications and local Jewish leaders. In June 2022, 37 Members of Congress called for a federal investigation on the Mapping Project potentially being used as “a roadmap for violent attacks” by BDS supporters and “extremist organizations,” both foreign and domestic. The letter said that the FBI was “already tracking” the website.
On June 7, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “BDS Boston, a small local volunteer-run organization, is doing such good work fighting Zionism that the literal apartheid state government, the ‘Israel’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs put out a statement condemning our work. A true badge of honor!”
Walsh’s tweet was in response to a tweet that day by an Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman who said: “Israel strongly condemns BDS Boston’s publication of a map of local Jews and its blaming them for anything and everything wrong in Greater Boston.”
On June 8, 2022, Walsh tweeted that the institutions targeted in the Mapping Project were “entities that are complicit in *actual* racist, imperialist violence & genocide.”
On June 15, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “Thank you @AJArabic for your solidarity with the Mapping Project & the BDS Movement in the US!! I did not work/collaborate on the Mapping Project, I have just been supporting since its launch🙏.”
Walsh’s tweet also included a video interview of Walsh on Al Jazeera (AJ) Arabic (AJ Arabic), where Walsh accused [00:01:27] Israel of “killing with impunity, killing children and journalists…”
On June 17, 2022, Walsh shared [slide 11] on Instagram a BDS Boston post promoting the Mapping Project and wrote: “more graphics by me😊.”
On November 13, 2024, Walsh posted on X: “‘israel is a garbage country that’s only loved by garbage people. it was founded on ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and settler colonialism. its flag is a symbol of white supremacy.’” The post included a photo of Walsh wearing a T-shirt featuring the same quote printed on it.
On June 5, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “How can people understand and support a boycott of the apartheid settler colonial state of South Africa but not a boycott of the apartheid settler colonial state of Israel? The cognitive dissonance!!”
On April 15, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “...It is not the ‘israeli-Palestinian conflict’ it is an illegal Zionist occupation. These are not two-sided ‘clashes’ they are the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. They are not ‘israeli civilians’ they are settlers.”
On April 14, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “‘[Al-Aqsa Mosque] has been a major flashpoint for Israeli-Palestinian violence for decades.’ You mean the occupation soldiers have repeatedly invaded, attacked hundreds of Palestinians, prevented them from worshipping, and desecrated the 3rd holiest site in Islam?”
The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state. Such propaganda has led to multiple periods of violence against Israeli civilians.
On Jun 12, 2025, Walsh posted on X: “long live the Axis of Resistance, may US-zionist imperialism be wiped off the face of this earth.”
On June 10, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “...defending Zionism is defending and actively advancing the genocide and apartheid of Palestine.”
On February 8, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “...defending your friends for their zionism should be understood as an act of defending racism and settler colonialism.”
On June 8, 2022, Walsh wrote an article in Mondoweiss where Walsh described how earlier that month, Walsh organized a “Boston Palestine Solidarity Concert” that was hosted by BDS Boston and at least two local SJP chapters.
On June 3, 2022, the day of the concert Walsh organized, Walsh tweeted a photo from the event and wrote: “...WE RAISED $6k FOR GAZA MUTUAL AID…🇵🇸 FREE PALESTINE! LONG LIVE THE INTIFADA!!”
Since the early 2000s, the term “intifada,” which translates from Arabic as “uprising” or “insurrection,” has carried the connotation of violence.
On May 24, 2021, Walsh spoke [02:36:20] at a Cambridge City Council (CCC) meeting in support of Policy Order #109 (POR #109). The order, as originally worded, would have prohibited Cambridge from contracting with any company “whose products are used to perpetuate violations of International Human Rights Laws and Cambridge’s policy on discrimination.”
At the meeting, Walsh said [02:36:38]: “I first want to dispel the notion that one has to be a foreign policy expert or a scholar on the Middle East to understand that Israel is an illegal apartheid state. I am 16 and this fact is clear to me and it should be to the City Council too.”
The Order as originally proposed failed to pass. On May 25, 2021, the CCC adopted an amended Policy Order, which recognized Israel’s right to exist and defend itself.
On December 15, 2021, Walsh wrote a Mondoweiss article about Walsh’s co-management of a “national public pressure” campaign against U.S. Senator Ed Markey in May 2021 during Israel’s Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW).
In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
In Walsh’s Mondoweiss article, Walsh said the campaign was in response to a series of May 11, 2021 tweets where Markey strongly criticized Israel, but also said Israel had “the right to defend itself from indiscriminate rocket attacks.” Walsh wrote that Markey’s statements represented an “abhorrent support of Israel.”
Walsh’s article also said that Walsh co-authored and signed a letter by “former staff, fellows, volunteers, donors, supporters, and endorsing organizations of Senator Ed Markey’s 2020 re-election campaign.” The letter condemned Markey for his support of Israel.
On June 18, 2022, Walsh posted [slide 50] to Instagram a screenshot of an AJ Arabic post that quoted Walsh as saying: “laws are neither principles nor morals. I do not care if boycotting Israel is a criminal act, especially since the indigenous rights movement in America were criminalized and the liberation movement from Apartheid in South Africa were once criminal.”
On June 12, 2022, Walsh tweeted: “...Today our protestors shut down PUMA, and they’ll do it again until PUMA ends their support for the apartheid Israeli football team.”
On the same day, Walsh shared a BDS Boston tweet that included a video from a June 11, 2022 protest outside of PUMA’s flagship store in Somerville, MA. The protest was in opposition to PUMA’s sponsorship of the Israeli Football Association (IFA).
On June 8, 2022, Walsh wrote a Mondoweiss article titled: “The Real ‘Big Thief’ is Israel: Musical solidarity with Palestine.” Walsh’s article condemned the American band Big Thief for its decision to perform in Israel, saying that it “exemplifies violent complicity, whitewashed with liberal Zionism.”
As of March 2024, Walsh’s Twitter bio said: “Organizer, writer, & student.” As of June 2022, Walsh’s Twitter bio said: “Writer & anti-imperialist organizer. As of June 2025, Walsh’s X bio said: “to live is to take sides ☭…” and X cover photo celebrated her sentencing for anti-Israel vandalism.
Join July26.org and @BDSBoston.” July26.org is the website of The Boston-Cuba Solidarity Coalition, where Walsh was reportedly an “organizer” in July 2022.
As of July 2022, Walsh’s LinkedIn profile said Walsh was a board member at Massachusetts Peace Action (MAPA) since April 2022 and also served as MAPA’s Office Manager since January 2022. Walsh was also listed on LinkedIn as a “Freelance Writer.”
In August 2021, Walsh wrote in an article that Walsh was 17 and the “youngest delegate” at that week’s Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) National Convention.
In June 2022, Walsh was affiliated with multiple Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapters in the Boston area.
As of July 2022, Walsh’s LinkedIn also said Walsh was an undergraduate student at McGill University (McGill) in Montreal, Canada, and was slated to graduate in 2026. However, as of the same date, Walsh’s Facebook page said Walsh lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
As of January 2024, Walsh used the handle “@exilefromthefuture” on Instagram.
