Corinna Mullin
Corinna Mullin [Corinna Mullin-Lery] was arrested while participating in anti-Israel campus activism. She also led an anti-Israel disruption, expressed support for terrorists and promoted hatred of Israel and America. She has engaged in anti-Israel activism as a professor at the City University of New York (CUNY).
Corinna Mullin was arrested for joining an anti-Israel encampment at CUNY, set up to protest Israel’s war against the Hamas terror group. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023 attacks when Hamas murdered over 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. In June 2022, Corinna Mullin stated that she served [00:15:39] as a member of the anti-Israel activist group CUNY4Palestine. The group describes itself as “A network of CUNY students and workers organizing for Palestinian liberation on campus.”
Corinna Mullin is the author of an essay titled: “Settler Colonialism, Imperialism and Sanctions from Below: Palestine and the BDS Movement,” published in a 2021 book called “Sanctions as War: Anti-imperialist Perspectives on American Geo-Economic Strategy.”
Corinna Mullin received a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in international relations in 2008, “followed by an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) postdoc and Lectureship in Comparative Politics of the Middle East at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).” SOAS is part of the University of London, located in London, England.
As of May 2024, Mullin’s Twitter (X) said she was located in “Tunis | London | New York.”
On April 30, 2024, during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists, Mullin was arrested [00:05:54] while participating in an anti-Israel encampment on the CCNY campus. CCNY is located in New York, New York.
The CCNY encampment began on April 25, 2024. On that day, Mullin joined with other pro-BDS faculty who chanted: “Disclose, divest! We will not stop, we will not rest!”
An Instagram post published on the same day said: “SUPPORT THE FIVE DEMANDS. CUNY’s Gaza Solidarity Encampment demands divestment from Israel, academic boycott of ties to Israel, solidarity and reinstatement of punished students and fired professors, demilitarization of CUNY and Harlem, and a FREE CUNY—zero tuition for students and a fair contract for workers. ✊🏽🍉.”
The watermelon has been appropriated by terrorists and anti-Israel activists as a symbol of Palestinian "resistance" to "Israeli occupation," as it shares the Pan-Arab colors. It gained widespread popularity and usage following the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023.
On April 30, 2024, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) cleared out the encampment, arresting [00:05:54] Mullin and dozens of her fellow anti-Israel activists.
The encampment was one of about 200 anti-Israel college encampments set up in North America, and over 20 globally, in the spring of 2024. The first began on April 17, 2024, at Columbia University. Protesters harassed Jewish students, blocked Jews from campus facilities and used anti-Semitic language in their activism. They also promoted BDS and protested Israel’s war against Hamas, launched after Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023.
On June 5, 2023, Mullin led a disruption of a CUNY board of trustees meeting where she promoted [00:06:40] hatred of Zionism.
At the meeting, Mullin got up [00:05:46] from her audience seat and started interrupting the speakers, while holding a Palestinian flag.
During the disruption, Mullin said [00:06:09]: “We are opposed to this position that the board of trustees, the statement they put out about Fatima [Mohammed]. It’s outrageous. And shame on the CUNY trustees…We stand with Fatima…And free Palestine!...Zionism out of CUNY!”
On May 12, 2023, anti-Israel activist Fatima Mohammed spoke as the student body-elected commencement speaker for the City University of New York Law School (CUNY Law) class of 2023. During her speech, Mohammed promoted [01:26:51] violence, spread [01:26:40] hatred of Israel and the police [01:23:08], honored [01:25:40] terrorist financiers and showed [01:20:59] support for the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. Following public backlash, the CUNY board of trustees released a statement condemning the speech.
Mullin then led [00:09:59] other protesters in shouting: “We stand with Fatima! And free Palestine! Zionism out of CUNY!”
Eventually, Mullin and her fellow anti-Israel activists who caused the disturbance were escorted [00:09:46] out of the meeting room by security.
Mullin shouted [00:00:11] at the trustees outside the room, as they were leaving the meeting: “We all stand with Fatima. She represents all of our values, all of our politics. Not yours. We don’t stand with fascists and racists and settler-colonizers. Shame on you!”
On January 15, 2025, Mullin posted on X referring to the January 15, 2025 Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement: “Glory to the martyrs, glory to the resistance, glory to the steadfast Palestinians. The struggle continues! Ceasefire today, liberation tomorrow. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!”
Mullin’s post included a graphic of Hamas fighters breaking through Israel’s security fence on October 7, 2023.
Anti-Israel activists use the term “resistance” to refer to violence and terror perpetrated against Israeli civilians and their allies. It is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence. Anti-Israel activists chant slogans such as: “Resistance by any means necessary!” and “Resistance is justified when people are occupied!” in response to terror attacks.
“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free!” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.
Mullin retweeted an August 25, 2022 tweet that said: “...#FreeGeorgesAbdallah #FreeAhmadSaadat #FreeThemAll.”
Ahmad Sa’adat is the Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). He is currently serving in an Israeli prison for terror activities, including his role in the 2001 assassination of Israeli Tourism Minister Rehavam Ze’evi. Under Sa’adat’s leadership, the PFLP perpetrated many suicide bombings against Israeli civilians during the second intifada.
Georges Abdallah is a convicted Lebanese terrorist, reportedly a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and co-founder of the Lebanese Armed Revolutionary Factions (LARF). He murdered an American military attaché and an Israeli diplomat in 1982.
Mullin retweeted an August 22, 2022 tweet that said: “We must #StandWithThe6 now more than ever as Israeli settler colonial forces have terrifyingly escalated their attacks on prominent Palestinian civil society organizations…”
In October 2021, Israel’s Ministry of Defense declared six Palestinian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to be “terror organizations” operating “as an arm” of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terror group. The six NGOs were accused of funneling donor aid to militants and employing senior PFLP members, “including activists involved in terror activity.”
Mullin retweeted a July 4, 2022 tweet that said: “The thoughts of @m7mdkurd on Ghassan Kanafani’s ‘On Zionist Literature’ published in English for the first time by Ebb and @LiberatedTexts this Friday July 8th - 50 years since Kanafani’s assassination by Israel.”
Kanafani was a leading member and spokesperson for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) during the terrorist organization’s early years. Kanafani announced the PFLP’s responsibility for the Lod Airport Massacre of May 1972 and was linked to the airport attackers. The attack killed 26 people and wounded 80 others.
The tweet included a graphic with a quotation attributed to anti-Israel agitator Mohammed El-Kurd that said: “Searing, precise, and gloriously revealing. Five decades after its debut, Kanafani’s On Zionist Literature is more necessary and timely than ever…”
On January 21, 2020, Mullin tweeted: “For Martin Luther King, ‘Like Malcolm X, Ella Baker, Assata Shakur, and countless freedom fighters of yesteryear, a legacy is an active thing, a verb, a transgressive appeal to memory which we must form community around and continually raise.’- Excellent piece by @HalfAtlanta.”
Assata Shakur was convicted of killing a New Jersey state trooper and wounding another in 1973 while a member of the separatist Black Liberation Army (BLA). She escaped from prison in 1979 and fled to Cuba in 1984, where she resided until her death in September 2025. She was listed on the FBI Most Wanted Terror List under her legal name, Joanne Deborah Chesimard.
On June 18, 2025, Mullin posted on X: “All out today to demand an end to the imperialist-zionist war on Iran! Stand in solidarity with the brave & steadfast people of Iran who are on the frontlines of resisting this genocial death cult; fighting forPalestine liberation & therefore global liberation.Stand with Iran!” Mullin shared the post during the 2025 Israel-Iran war.
On June 18, 2025, Mullin posted on X: “From Tehran to Palestine, Stop imperialist-zionist war crimes! We want justice you say how? Stop bombing Iran Now! Hands off Iran Now! New York Stands with Iran!

On January 24, 2025, Mullin posted on X celebrating the passage of an anti-Israel divestment resolution: “Proud of my union for this victory! Labor must honor the BDS picket line! / Free Palestine, from the river to the sea!”
On December 21, 2024, Mullin posted on X: “Money for books and education, not for war and occupation! / Long live the student intifada! / Free Palestine, From the River to the Sea! 
/ #EndScholasticide / #EndtheGenocide.”
The term “intifada,” which translates from Arabic as “uprising” or “insurrection,” carries the connotation of violence. Palestinian intifadas waged against Israel have been marked since 1987 by hundreds of hijackings, shootings, stabbings, bombings and suicide missions.
On August 26, 2022, Mullin tweeted: “Palestinian collective struggle on the rise inside occupation prisons. Stand up in support! #FreeThemAll…@SamidounPP.”
In October 2024, the US and Canadian governments declared that the Samidoun: Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network (Samidoun) was a “sham charity” that served as an international fundraiser for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terror group. In February 2021, Israel’s Ministry of Justice declared Samidoun to be a terror organization, accusing [p. 2] the NGO of operating “as an arm” of the PFLP.
In October 2023, Germany said it would disband Samidoun's German wing, with Reuters reporting that Germany's Interior Minister "said the international network works under the guise of a solidarity group for prisoners to spread anti-Israel and antisemitic propaganda.”
On June 24, 2022, Mullin posted on Facebook: “‘We affirm our support for the Mapping Project out of Boston, and condemn attempts to censor this useful educational tool. The mischaracterization of the project by the ADL [Anti-Defamation League] and other Zionist organizations is meant to distract from what the project exposes: the connections between policing, imperialism, and Zionist colonialism.’” The text of her post was from a statement by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) that she linked to in her post.
On June 3, 2022, BDS Boston released the “Mapping Project,” an anonymous initiative which created an online, interactive map that plots the names and addresses of most of the pro-Israel and Jewish institutions in Massachusetts. The project’s stated goal is to “dismantle” both the local entities and the supposed “networks” colluding with them. The project was strongly denounced by public officials as antisemitic and condemned for its explicit targeting of Jewish organizations.
On June 23, 2022, while speaking as a co-moderator of a CUNY4Palestine panel, Mullin referred [00:19:56] to Israel as a “settler colonial apartheid regime.” The panel was titled: “Palestine Liberation Organizing: Consolidating Gains in the Face of the New McCarthyism.”
Mullin retweeted a December 28, 2021 tweet that said: “‘Israel... an imperialist base & tool used for aggressive purposes against Arab states in order to delay their progress towards unity & socialism, & a bridgehead which neo-colonialism relies on in order to maintain its influence over African & Asian states.’”
On August 13, 2021, Mullin posted on Facebook: “Mark your calendars for the September 2nd symposium kick-off event…‘This symposium aims to build upon and broaden organizing around the recent PSC-CUNY Resolution in Support of the Palestinian People passed by the PSC Delegate Assembly in June…’/ #freepalestinfromtherivertothesea #BDS…”
On October 13, 2019, Mullin tweeted: “Many reasons to celebrate Tunisia’s newly elected president, Kaïs Saïed Certainly one of the top is this: Kaïs Saïed’s opposition to normalizing relations with Israel: ‘we call this high treason’...#FreePalestine…”
On August 22, 2014, during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE) against Hamas, Mullin co-authored an article titled: “From Gaza to Ferguson: Exposing the Toolbox of Racist Repression.” In the article, she wrote that Israel and the United States produced and maintained “hierarchies of race, citizenship, nationality, and class.”
Israel commenced Operation Protective Edge (OPE) in July 2014, to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.
Also in the same article, referring to Israel’s role in OPE, Mullin claimed Israel was responsible for a policy of “incremental genocide” by quoting Ilan Pappé.
Mullin also wrote: “The Israeli government also employs a variety of other tools to repress and dispossess the Palestinian population. These include forced evictions, land grabs and other forms of ethnic cleansing, the denial of the right of return of Palestinian refugees…”
The “right of return” is a Palestinian demand discredited as a means to eliminate Israel. International law mandates no absolute right of return and UN Resolution 194, which defined principles for “refugees wishing to return to their homes,” was unanimously rejected by Arab nations following the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
On November 19, 2020, Mullin participated as a speaker in a University of Philippines Center for International Studies webinar titled: “The Marxism We Deserve Module Special Session.”
In the webinar, Mullin said [00:26:12]: “U.S. imperialism by destroying lives, infrastructure, the social fabric of countries through its wars… is what allows for the super-exploitation of global south labor.”
On June 23, 2022, Mullin spoke in a panel where she referred [00:19:26] to the United States as a “settler-colonial white supremacist imperialist state.”
On January 23, 2023, Mullin wrote on Facebook: “Comrades! Make sure to register and join us for the launch of the International People’s Tribunal on U.S. Imperialism…#WeChargeImperialism…”
On June 20, 2023, Mullin spoke [slide 3] in support of Fatima Mohammed at a CUNY Board of Trustees hearing at Hostos Community College. In her speech, Mullin said [00:00:48]: “Zionists are attempting to reassert their politics from the top down, aligning themselves with fascist politicians.”
As of April 2023, Mullin was scheduled to be one of the speakers at the Al-Awda National Conference, slated to be held in New York City from May 6-8, 2023.
Al-Awda has co-organized major anti-Israel rallies, where speakers have incited hatred toward Jews. The organization works to demonize Israel. Al-Awda founder, Abbas Hamideh, is known for spreading anti-Semitism and supporting terror.
On August 8, 2022, Mullin tweeted: “Free, free Palestine! Long live Palestine! Shutting it down in Grand Central Station #NewYorkStandsWithGaza @Cuny4P.”
In her tweet, Mullin embedded a video of an anti-Israel protest co-organized by Within Our Lifetime (WOL) titled: “NYC STANDS WITH GAZA.” Protesters in the video chanted [00:00:06]: “1-2-3-4, occupation no more! 5-6-7-8, smash the settler Zionist state!”
Within Our Lifetime (WOL) is an anti-Israel activist group in New York City founded by Nerdeen Kiswani. In her WOL activism, Kiswani has called for the death of Zionists and for the destruction of Israel, spread incitement to violence and celebrated terrorists. WOL’s “Points of Unity” states: “We defend the right of Palestinians as colonized people to resist the zionist occupation by any means necessary.”
In July 2022, Mullin signed [p. 4] a statement titled: “Not In Our Name: Anti-Zionist Jewish Coalition at CUNY.”
The statement read [p. 1]: “We stand with the growing movement at CUNY for Palestinian freedom that includes CUNY4Palestine, Within Our Lifetime (with emphasis on Nerdeen Kiswani who faces multiple smear campaigns from homegrown Zionists within CUNY and outside of it with zero support from the CUNY administration), and all Palestinian solidarity groups within CUNY without question.”
The statement Mullin signed also said [p. 1]: “Palestinian voices are at the core of our coalition and we stand to uphold their demands for global liberation, resistance by any means necessary, the right of return for Palestinian refugees, the return of all land prior to 1948, and ending the occupation.”
On June 8, 2022, Mullin tweeted: “The @ChancellorCUNY continues to ignore growing CUNY Palestine solidarity mov’t & fails to defend Palestinian students & workers! This planned @NYCCouncil hearing was another example of trying to silence @CUNY anti-zionist voices but we grow stronger everyday! #ZionismOutOfCUNY.”
In July 2021, after Israel’s Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW) against Hamas, Mullin signed [p. 2] an anti-Israel statement titled: “CUNY Community Statement of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.”
The statement read [p. 1]: “We condemn the brutal bombing of Gaza, one of the world’s most densely populated areas, by Israeli forces. This represents the latest chapter of a nearly fifteen-year illegal blockade that has transformed the territory into a prison…”
In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes.
The statement further said [p. 1]: “We condemn the forced removal of Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah…designed to advance the ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem. We oppose the raiding of the al-Aqsa mosque…”
In May 2021, Palestinian violence erupted in anticipation of an Israel High Court ruling on eviction proceedings concerning over 70 Palestinian tenants illegally residing in Jewish-owned properties in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.
The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state. Such propaganda has led to multiple periods of violence against Israeli civilians.
The statement also included [p. 2] a BDS clause which read: “...we pledge to: • Initiate, support, and amplify campaigns in solidarity with Palestinian calls for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) against Israeli apartheid, at CUNY and in our wider communities...”
On June 6, 2021, Mullin tweeted: “New York & New Jersey out to #BlockTheBoat ZIM Cargo Vessel…#shutdownsettlercolonialism #shutdownapartheid #BDS #FreePalestine @CUNY4P.”
In her tweet, Mullin embedded a video of a #BlockTheBoat New York/New Jersey Coalition rally held that day at the Port of New York during which protesters chanted [00:00:07]: “Stand up! Don’t Back Down! Zionism’s not allowed in this town!”
On June 6, 2021, Mullin also tweeted a photo of protesters at the rally and wrote: “‘Rise up don’t back down there’s a people’s movement in this town!ً Rise up don’t back down no zionism in this town’ #FreePalestine #BlockTheBoat.”
On May 28, 2021, Mullin spoke on behalf of CUNY4Palestine at a WOL rally on the John Jay campus, titled: “Zionsim Out of CUNY.” She said [00:00:55]: “Most recently, we have been inspired by the courage and principled position of the organizers of the powerful John Jay student letter to demand BDS and solidarity with Palestinian resistance.”
On May 18, 2021, Mullin wrote on Facebook: “CUNY community and comrades! Please sign and share these CUNY statements. Let's keep up the pressure on the CUNY administration to adopt BDS and stand in solidarity with Palestinian liberation! #FreePalestine #FromTheRiverToTheSea…”
SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.
The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Student Association (MSA) campus chapters.
SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.
SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
