Muhammad Ifaz Rahman reportedly signed an anti-Israel statement in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

The January 15, 2024 statement Muhammad Ifaz Rahmant signed accused Israel of an “ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza” as well as “apartheid [and] ethnic cleansing,” during its war against Hamas.

Signatories were affiliated with the State University of New York (SUNY), and the statement sought to develop “a SUNY-wide Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement…at all 64 SUNY campuses.”

As of December 2025, Muhammad Ifaz Rahman's LinkedIn profile said he graduated from Stony Brook University (SBU) with a bachelor's degree in political science and business management in May 2025. SBU is part of SUNY and is located in Stony Brook, New York.

As of the same date, Muhammad Ifaz Rahman's LinkedIn said he worked as a legal assistant at RAS Legal Services and was located in the New York City metropolitan area.
