Gabriel Orea [Gabriel H. Orea] participated in five Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) events in 2025 in Los Angeles, California, organized by the city’s DSA chapter (DSA-LA).

DSA's anti-capitalist ideology features anti-American, anti-police and abolitionist elements. DSA also called for Israel's destruction and justified terrorism two days after Hamas murdered 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023.

DSA-LA activists held a banner that said: "STOP U.S. MILITARY AID! NO ISRAELI APARTHEID & OCCUPATION! SOLIDARITY WITH PALESTINE!"

The event was in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. The outcome of the movement's goals would result in Israel's destruction. Within hours of the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, the BDS movement renewed its call for an anti-Israel boycott.

Anti-Israel activists spread antisemitism by denying Jewish history and religious rights to the Land of Israel in order to portray Jews as foreigners. They do this to delegitimize restored Jewish sovereignty and terms they use include accusing Israel of "colonialism," "occupation," and "imperialism."
