Faiza Ali
Faiza Ali [Faiza N. Ali] has spread hatred of Israel and is a supporter of the of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. She was arrested in 2017 and 2018 in her other activism.
As of January 2026, Ali was listed as a member of the transition team for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani, serving on the Government Operations Committee Committee.
Mamdani has called for dismantling capitalism and promoted hatred of the police. He has also justified Hamas terrorism and glorified terror supporters. On his first day as mayor, he revoked executive orders designed to combat antisemitism, including increased police protection at synagogues, and nullified a ban on city officials to boycott Israel.
Ali has maintained ties to anti-Israel activist Linda Sarsour since at least 2020.
Linda Sarsour has been a political mentor to Mamdani since at least 2017. She has expressed support for violence in America and called for Israel's destruction. She endorsed his 2020 run to the New York State Assembly and backed his 2025 mayoral campaign, which she said received significant funding from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
As of January 2026, Ali's LinkedIn profile said she had worked as a community affairs director at CAIR's New York City chapter (CAIR-NY) from 2007 to 2011.
In 2014, Ali was listed as a member of the anti-Israel campus group Muslim Student Association (MSA).
As of January 2026, Ali's LinkedIn said she was the first deputy chief of staff at New York City Council.
