Eric Sunderland is an officer in multiple anti-Israel organizations.
As of July 2025, Eric Sunderland was listed as the treasurer of the Unity & Justice Fund, an independent expenditure-only political action committee (Super PAC). It was reportedly launched by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) "as part of its effort 'to elevate the political influence of the Muslim community' in the aftermath of Oct. 7, 2023."
On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped 251 and wounded thousands. War crimes included various systematic sexual crimes like gang rape and genital mutilation. Men and women were violated, even after being murdered. Victims who survived that day, including hostages, endured forms of humiliation and torture.
Gazans working in the targeted Israeli villages provided intelligence to Hamas on which families to kill and torture, including long-time employers. Many Palestinian civilians joined in and celebrated the attacks. Hamas livestreamed their crimes on social media, including to victims’ accounts for families to see. As of August 2026, Eric Sunderland was listed as director of Organize Sacramento, which is affiliated with CAIR Sacramento Valley/Central California.
As of November 2023, Eric Sunderland was affiliated with The League of Revolutionaries for a New America (LRNA), which advocates for replacing capitalism with a communist society.
As of May 2026, Eric Sunderland was a donor to the campaign of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) congressional candidate Mai Vang.
DSA's ideology includes anti-American and abolitionist elements. DSA justified Hamas murdering 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023.
As of August 2026, Eric Sunderland's LinkedIn said he was the grounds supervisor for ElDorado County and was located in Sacramento, California.
