On October 7, 2023, the day Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, Pellitteri posted on X: "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free ."

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.

On July 7, 2025, Pelliterri said in an article for The Call, a publication run by the Bread and Roses caucus in the DSA: "As an NPC member, I also participated in the Palestine Solidarity Encampments and was arrested protesting the genocide in Gaza."

On October 21, 2023, Pellitteri posted on X a screenshot of an email sent by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand to her subscribers on October 18, 2023, that included the heading: "Sen. Gillibrand calls for $500M to boost security at religious institutions amid Israel-Hamas war."

In his post, Pellitteri wrote: "This got emailed an hour after 150 people (including me) where arrested outside her office demanding she support a ceasefire [between Israel and Hamas]."

On September 27, 2024, while Pellitteri was a DSA member, the group posted on X: "...Biden, Harris, and Netanyahu are all war criminals. Until we win an arms embargo every action of the U.S. war machine must be disrupted."

On October 25, 2023, DSA posted on X, referring to America: "The best tool we have to fight empire is a mass, resilient socialist organization..."

On March 22, 2022, DSA posted on X, referring to the U.S.: "Bringing the fight to win a union to the belly of the beast..."

On August 2, 2019, Pellitteri posted on X: "USA- Undemocratic Socialists of America."

On April 22, 2024, Pellitteri posted on X: "...The NYPD [New York City Police Department] is complicit with genocide."

On January 7, 2021, Pellitteri posted on X: "All police serve the same role in our society, to uphold the interests of the ruling class..."

On April 13, 2021, Pellitteri posted on X: "...We need to defund the police."

On December 2, 2023, Pellitteri posted on X: "...Lenin said 'There are decades when nothing happens and weeks when decades happen' I’m running for co-chair to build socialism for the decades!"

Vladimir Lenin (1870-1924) was the communist leader of the Bolshevik Party. He founded Soviet Russia in 1917 and was its dictator until he died in 1924. He was the dictator of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) in 1922-1924.

On January 2, 2024, Pellitteri posted on X, referring to "a genocide in Palestine."

On May 12, 2021, during Israel's "Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW)" against Hamas in Gaza, Pellitteri posted on X, calling Israel "an apartheid state."

In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.

On February 11, 2019, Pellitteri posted on X: "Critiquing Isreal/ AIPAC isn’t anti Semitic...you should condem the Israel which is an apartheid state."

On July 18, 2025, Pellitteri posted on X: "I also spoke about the City College encampment, where I slept for 2 nights and was nearly arrested." The post included a video of Pellitteri at the CUNY City College anti-Israel encampment.

Nearly 200 anti-Israel college encampments were set up in North America in spring 2024. Activists harassed Jews with antisemitic slurs, expressed [slide 5] support [00:02:45] for Hamas terrorism and called [00:04:45] for Israel's destruction. They blocked Jews from campus facilities and limited access to those with special wristbands or who said they weren't a Zionist.

On April 24, 2024, Pellitteri posted on X: "Right now, the highest priority of NYC-DSA should be going all out for the university encampments!"

On January 13, 2024, during Israel's war against Hamas terrorists and their allies and while Pellitteri was a DSA member, the group posted on X: "DSA demands an immediate and permanent cessation of hostilities by the US against Yemen and an end to military support of Israel..."

Following the outbreak of Israel’s 2023 war against Hamas, Houthi terrorists attacked commercial ships off Yemen’s Red Sea coast and launched missiles into southern Israel. Like Hamas, the Houthi movement is backed by Iran, and is designated as a terror group by the United States, Saudi Arabia and other countries.

The Houthi slogan reads: “God is the Greatest / Death to America / Death to Israel / A Curse Upon the Jews / Victory to Islam.”

On October 9, 2023, two days after Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, DSA posted on Instagram a statement that said [slide 1]: "DSA is steadfast in expressing our solidarity with Palestine. / Today’s events are a direct result of Israel’s apartheid regime—a regime that receives billions in funding from the United States. / End the violence. End the Occupation. Free Palestine."

“Free Palestine” is a chant that has been described as a "battle cry for the death of Jews.” In May 2025, two Israeli diplomats in Washington, D.C., were murdered by a gunman shouting “Free Palestine!” In June 2025, one pro-Israel activist was killed and over 25 were injured in Boulder, Colorado, when a man yelling “Free Palestine” firebombed them.

The statement further read [slide 2], referring to Hamas' October 7, 2023 terror attack: "...This was not unprovoked. / For over 60 years, Palestinians have faced ethnic cleansing, torture, bombings, and housing demolitions. Gaza is still under a blockade."

Israel and Egypt implemented a UN-approved [pp. 39–41] joint blockade of the Gaza Strip in 2011 to stop Hamas from acquiring more sophisticated rockets. Hamas went around the blockade by smuggling weaponry through tunnels under the Philadelphi corridor separating Gaza from Egypt.

On December 8, 2017, DSA posted on X: "...Steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian resistance in their anti-colonial struggle and fight for self-determination ."

Anti-Israel activists use the term “resistance” to refer to violence and terror perpetrated against Israeli civilians and their allies. It is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence. Anti-Israel activists chant slogans such as: “Resistance by any means necessary!” and “Resistance is justified when people are occupied!” in response to terror attacks.

On November 2, 2024, while Pellitteri was a DSA member, the group posted on X: "Cuba’s resilience is legendary, but the U.S. blockade’s toll is relentless...Join our campaign to stand with Cuba..."

On October 22, 2020, DSA posted on X: "Russia is not the problem. China is not the problem. The problem is a global system of capitalism..."

On March 11, 2024, while Pellitteri was a DSA member, the group posted on X: "'For decades, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has been a hawkish, warmongering, and bullying force in U.S. politics.'"

The stated mission of AIPAC is to “strengthen, protect and promote the U.S.-Israel relationship in ways that enhance the security of the United States and Israel.”

The implication that AIPAC buys political support for Israel has been described as playing into “anti-Semitic tropes” that led to “centuries of stereotypes about Jews using money to control the world.”

Pellitteri joined the DSA in April 2017, when he was a junior in high school, and started a Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) chapter at Hunter College (Hunter YDSA).

On July 18, 2025, Pellitteri posted on X: "Finally, perhaps my proudest accomplishment, I made a brief appearance in a certain future mayor's music video."

The post included a link to a rap music video from "Mr. Cardamom" [Mamdani's stage name], and a screenshot of Pellitterri's appearance in the video.

On July 6, 2025, Pelliteri posted on X: "I then took a travel break and stayed back in NYC to help @ZohranKMamdani and @alexaforcouncil defeat the odds and win their Democratic Primaries! I'm proud to be a @nycDSA member and to have participated in the most monumental campaign in modern socialist history!"

On June 15, 2025, Pellitteri posted on X: "The 1st fundraiser of Zohran's political career was hosted at my parents house the day after I got arrested at a protest / It's still hard to believe I'll be voting for him for mayor ."

The post included a photo of Mamdani and Pellitteri from November 2019, and showed them holding a cake that said: "Go Zoran! Free Alex!"

On January 17, 2025, Pellitteri posted on X: "Check out Zohran's hottest new ad featuring my Dad, John."

Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is America’s largest socialist organization. Its core ideology includes anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-Western and abolitionist elements.

Following the October 7, 2023, Hamas terror attacks against Israel, DSA condemned Israel, expressed support for Hamas, endorsed anti-Israel rallies and called for members to engage in anti-Israel activism. It condemned Israeli retaliatory attacks against the IRGC and Hezbollah, as well as the U.S. attacks against the Houthi terror organization, whose slogan reads: "...Death to America / Death to Israel / A Curse upon the Jews...”

DSA first endorsed the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement in 2017 and it has also condemned sanctions against countries like Iran and Cuba.

The group endorses far-left politicians on the local, state and federal levels. DSA also promotes anti-Israel agitators, including DSA members Rashida Tlaib, Zohran Mamdani and Linda Sarsour.

Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA), DSA’s youth section active in high schools and colleges, has co-organized anti-Israel protests across the U.S. since October 7, 2023, particularly the April 2024 pro-terror encampments on university campuses.

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
