Yasser Khan

Yasser Khan [Yasser Anwar Khan] has equated Israel with Nazi Germany and spread hatred of Israel in his anti-Israel activism.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

As of September 2025, Khan was listed as the founder and medical director at Carrot Eye Surgery Clinic.

Also as of September 2025, Khan was listed as the chief executive officer and co-founder of the Global Initiative for Vision and Empowerment (GIVE).

Also as of September 2025, Khan was listed as an associate clinical professor of surgery at McMaster University (McMaster). He also worked as a lecturer and examiner at the University of Toronto (UofT).

As of the same date, Khan's LinkedIn said he worked as an active surgical staff member at the William Osler Health System and Trillium Health Partners. His LinkedIn said he was located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

On March 23, 2024, during Israel's war against Hamas terrorists, Khan claimed in an interview published in The Intercept that "Palestinians were in an open-air concentration camp for decades." He also accused Israel of "75 years of occupation."

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.

Referring to Gaza as an “open-air prison” is a way to delegitimize the UN-approved [pp. 39–41] joint Israeli-Egyptian blockade of the Gaza Strip imposed in 2011 to prevent Hamas from acquiring more sophisticated rockets. Following Hamas’ October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, the Israeli military discovered that Hamas went around the blockade by smuggling weaponry through tunnels under the Philadelphi corridor separating Gaza from Egypt.

The modern State of Israel was founded 75 years earlier, in 1948.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.
