Yasmin Saikia

Yasmin Saikia signed an anti-Israel letter during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.

Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds more that day. For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.

The May 8, 2024 letter Yasmin Saikia signed accused Israel of “genocide” in its war against Hamas and showed support for the pro-terror campus encampments. It also endorsed elements of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

As of November 2025, Yasmin Saikia was listed as the co-director of the Center of Muslim Experience in the US (CME-US) at Arizona State University (ASU). She also holds the Hardt-Nickachos chair in peace studies at ASU.
