Morehshin Allahyari

Morehshin Allahyari is an artist and professor who demonized Israel multiple times online during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists in 2023 and 2024.

As of November 2024, Allahyari was listed on the Stanford University (Stanford) website as an assistant professor in the Department of Art & Art History. Her Stanford page said she was based in New York and Oakland, California. Stanford is located in Stanford, California.

Allahyari wrote her social media posts during Israel’s war against Hamas, called “Swords of Iron.” Israel launched the war after a series of Hamas terror attacks and war crimes against Israeli civilians, including mass murder, torture, rape, beheadings and kidnappings, which were executed on October 7, 2023. The terror attacks left approximately 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded.

On November 16, 2023, Allahyari posted [slide 2] on Instagram a text she wrote claiming that a curator had been “belittling what has been happening to the Palestinian people for 75+ years.”

The modern State of Israel was founded 75 years earlier, in 1948.

The same text Allahyari posted accused [slide 2] Israel of committing “genocide” in its war against Hamas. Her text further leveled multiple allegations against the “imperialist mass-media and zionist colonizers,” including censorship.

Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture. Zionism is a core part of the identity of most Jews.

On January 17, 2024, Allahyari posted on Instagram about how she withdrew from an exhibition based on the German government’s support for Israel.

Allahyari wrote: “I have made the decision to withdraw my work from the Poetics of Encryption exhibition opening at @kwinstitutefcontemporaryart next month. I don’t see how it makes sense anymore to participate in any cultural activities and dialogues in Germany under this unbelievable climate of censorship and oppression.”

Allahyari’s post continued: “The German government has made the decision to not only support a genocide but to violently censor, punish, fire, and cancel anyone who stands with Palestine or has an opinion other than full support for Israel’s apartheid and violence.”

Allahyari’s post ended: “We owe Gaza our endurance and Palestine our solidarity
Free Palestine.”

On Saturday, October 7, 2023, approximately 2,900 heavily armed Hamas terrorists breached Israel’s border with Gaza. They executed numerous war crimes on civilians, including mass murder, beheadings of children, rape of men and women, torture, kidnappings and mutilation.

Hamas broadcast videos of their butchery on social media, often to victims’ accounts for families to see. Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron.” As of November 10, 2023, approximately 1,200 Israelis, the vast majority of them civilians, were murdered during the attacks. Hamas kidnapped 242 Israelis, including at least 30 children. At least 3,500 people were wounded, many severely.

A terrorist detained by Israel admitted he raped an Israeli woman when he broke into a kibbutz house during the October 7, 2023 attack. In March 2024, a former hostage of Hamas publicly stated she was sexually abused and tortured while in captivity.
