Kathryn Russell
Kathryn Russell signed an anti-Israel letter during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.
Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds more that day. For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
The May 8, 2024 letter Kathryn Russell signed accused Israel of “genocide” in its war against Hamas and showed support for the pro-terror campus encampments. It also endorsed elements of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
As of July 2025, Kathryn Russell was listed on a personal website she created in 2002 as a professor and the chair of the Department of Philosophy at SUNY College at Cortland (SUNY Cortland).
However, Kathryn Russell identified herself in a March 29, 2016 public hearing before the State of New York Public Service Commission as "...a professor of philosophy who recently retired from SUNY Cortland where I was for 29 years."
SUNY Cortland is located in Cortland, New York.
