Sam Segal participated in an anti-Israel event in October 2023, organized by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) chapter in New York City (NYC-DSA).

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

Sam Segal also participated in at least one other NYC-DSA event in 2025 to campaign for NYC-DSA member and mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.

NYC-DSA is an anti-American and anti-Israel activist group. It celebrated the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023, by holding a rally the next day.

As of October 2025, Sam Segal's LinkedIn profile said he had been a grants manager at Brooklyn Public Library since July 2023. His LinkedIn said he was located in New York, New York.
