As of June 2025, Sam Balzac's Facebook posts indicated that he was a member of NYC-DSA.
NYC-DSA is an anti-American and anti-Israel activist group. It celebrated the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023, by holding a rally the next day.
As of October 2025, Sam Balzac's personal website said he was a "New York City-based performer, composer/lyricist, and musician." His LinkedIn profile said he was located in the New York City metropolitan area.
