Alayleh retweeted a May 8, 2021 tweet that promoted the Al-Durah hoax, stating: “20 years ago Mohamed Dura shielded by his dad from Israeli bullets. One moment they were pleading for their lives, the next they were dead. Look at his eyes. May Allah swt ["Glory to Him, the Exalted"] grant him the highest rank of Jannah [Paradise].
On May 10, 2021, during OGW, Alayleh promoted on Twitter an “Emergency Protest for Palestine” rally held in San Jose, California. The rally was sponsored by anti-Israel organizations including American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) Bay Area (AMP Bay Area). At the post, Alayleh wrote: “BAY AREA PEOPLE ‼️ if you can make it to this protest to show solidarity please do!! Today @ 5:30.”
Alayleh retweeted a May 11, 2021 tweet that said: “The settlers in Al-Lyyd [Lod] are beginning to leave.
Decolonize, decolonize, decolonize.” The tweet included a video of Israelis walking on the streets carrying suitcases while being escorted by the police.
On May 11, 2021, during OGW, violent Arab riots broke out in Israel’s mixed Jewish-Arab city of Lod and in other Israeli cities with large Arab populations. The Lod rioters reportedly raised Hamas and Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) flags, and attacked Israeli civilians with slabs and rocks, firebombs and metal rods. Rioters also torched synagogues, cars and businesses, and vandalized hospital medical equipment, schools and government buildings.
Alayleh retweeted a June 6, 2021 tweet that said: “The El-Kurd twins have been resisting ethnic cleansing, genocide, and occupation for as long as they’ve been alive, and there is no way that ends now. The whole world is watching. BRING MUNA EL-KURD HOME!!! FREE MUNA #SaveSheikhJarrah.”
On June 6, 2021, Muna El-Kurd, twin sister of anti-Israel activist Mohammed El-Kurd, was detained by Israeli Police for participating in the Sheikh Jarrah riots. On the same day, Mohammed El-Kurd turned himself in for questioning by the Israeli police. Both were later released the same day.
In May 2021, Palestinian violence erupted in anticipation of an Israel High Court ruling on eviction proceedings concerning over 70 Palestinian tenants illegally residing in Jewish-owned properties in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.
Alayleh retweeted a May 10, 2021 that claimed: “Israeli settler run over Palestinians near Al Asbat gate [Lion’s Gate] in Jerusalem. Palestine.”
On May 10, 2021, Palestinian rioters threw stones at an Israeli vehicle near the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, injuring the driver who then lost control of his car and swerved off the road, hitting several pedestrians. The rioters attempted to attack the driver, before a police officer arrived at the scene and fired warning shots to disperse the mob.
