Raymond Pepper reportedly signed an anti-Israel statement in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

The profilee's activism occurred during an extended period of global antisemitism that began with the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds. Israel immediately launched a war against Hamas.

The January 15, 2024 statement Raymond Pepper signed accused Israel of an “ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza” as well as “apartheid [and] ethnic cleansing,” during its war against Hamas.

Signatories were affiliated with the State University of New York (SUNY), and the statement sought to develop “a SUNY-wide Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement…at all 64 SUNY campuses.”

As of February 2026, Raymond Pepper's LinkedIn said he graduated from Stony Brook University (SBU) with a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and statistics in May 2025.

SBU is part of SUNY and is located in Stony Brook, New York.

As of the same date, Raymond Pepper's LinkedIn also said he was a part-time cashier at Cafe Dolce Vita in Jericho, New York.
