Poojit Hegde
Poojit Hegde spoke at an anti-Israel event at Stanford University (Stanford) in 2024.
The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.
In May 2025, The Stanford Daily published an article titled: "UGS debates expressing solidarity with pro-Palestinian protesters facing charges." The article explained that the undergraduate senate (UGS) debated an anti-Israel resolution to express solidarity with students charged with vandalizing the University president's office during an anti-Israel protest.
Poojit Hegde was quoted in the article defending the students and urging the UGS to consider a "'context of war, genocide, ethnic cleansing'" in Gaza.
As of June 2025, Poojit Hegde's LinkedIn said he had recently graduated with a master's degree in computer science from Stanford.

The Instagram post promoting the event referred to Israel as "the Zionist entity" and said: "STANFORD, STANFORD, YOU CANT HIDE / WE CHARGE YOU WITH GENOCIDE."
The event was in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. The outcome of the movement's goals would result in Israel's destruction. Within hours of the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, the BDS movement renewed its call for an anti-Israel boycott.
