Also as of February 2020, Alam’s LinkedIn said she worked as a Digital Organizer for Grassroots Collaborative in Chicago, Illinois, since September 2019.

Demonizing Israel and Zionists

On August 15, 2019, Alam tweeted: “side note. hearing the phrase "Israel/Palestine" used to refer to Palestine is disrespectful and disgraceful. Israel is the settler colonial FORCE that is occupying Palestine a LAND of indigenous people…”

On March 27, 2019, Alam posted a picture to Facebook of herself and others protesting Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel. Alam held a sign that said “Supports Terrorist Israel Occupation Forces.”

On June 25, 2018, Alam tweeted: “u wastin ya time sayin the same s**t to me.the idea of a jewish state is predicated on ethno supremacist settler colonialism. show me a zionism without uprooting and killing off indigenous palestinians. u can't. zionism=racism bc it relies on the erasure of a whole ppl. Thassit.”

On June 25, 2017, Alam tweeted: “When we treat Zionists as anything more than antiPalestinian, racist ethnic nationalists, we are not accomplices 2 the Palestinian struggle.”

On August 11, 2016, Alam tweeted: “The homies @TareqRadi and @kristianbailey gonna debate some ugleh zios on @AJStream in a lil bit on the MFBL platform!”

The term "Zio" is a common derogatory reference to Zionists, as well as an often-used anti-Semitic slur among white supremacists.

On July 31, 2016, Alam tweeted: “ran into some zios i used to kick it w in hs tonight, lol tried to avoid eye contact but it didnt woooork 😫🙅🏽.”

On July 20, 2016, Alam tweeted: “F**k israel f**k israel f**k israel.”

On October 19, 2015, Alam shared to  Facebook a photo of an anti-Israel rally in downtown Chicago and captioned it: “What a glorious sound; hearing the word "intifada" echo through the heart of Chicago.”

Since the early 2000s, the term “intifada,” which translates from Arabic as “uprising” or “insurrection,” has carried the connotation of violence.

Hatred of America and the Police

On May 30, 2016, Alam tweeted a graphic called “Folding the Flag” and showed someone folding the American flag and then throwing it into the garbage. Alam commented: “#MemorialDay2016.”

On June 25, 2016, Alam shared photos of Muslim police officers breaking their Ramadan fast with their non-Muslim partners. Alam tweeted, “Why are people sharing this rn on my newsfeed. Nahhhh. F*ck 12. I dont care if you're Muslim, a pig is a pig.”

On June 22, 2016, Alam tweeted a meme which said: “Stop saying policeman / policewoman. Just use the gender neutral term- ‘pig’.”

Supporting Terrorists

On November 6, 2014, Alam posted a photo on Rasmea Odeh on Facebook and commented: “my heart <3.”

Odeh was a key military operative [00:02:08]with the terrorist group the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). In 1969, Odeh masterminded a PFLP bombing that killed two college students in a Jerusalem supermarket. Odeh also attempted to bomb the British consulate.

Odeh confessed, in a highly detailed account, the day following her arrest. In a 2004 documentary, one of Odeh’s co-conspirators directly implicated [00:10:53] Odeh as the mastermind.

In 1970, an Israeli court tried and convicted Odeh for her involvement in both bombings and sentenced her to life imprisonment. However, Odeh was released 10 years later, in a prisoner swap and emigrated to the United States.

On November 10, 2014, a Michigan federal jury convicted Odeh for immigration fraud because she failed to disclose her prior conviction and life sentence on her immigration application. On March 12, 2015, she was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

In 2017, after an appeal and a lengthy court battle, Odeh admitted to immigration fraud, was stripped of her U.S. citizenship, deported to Jordan and banned from re-entering the U.S.

On December 11, 2014, Alam posted a photo of Rasmea Odeh on Facebook and commented: “our queen has come home (for now) #freerasmeanow.”

On July 13, 2015, Alam tweeted: “#KhaderAdnan was rearrested days before Eid. Israel is a sick sick regime.”

Khader Adnan was a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist organization. A 2007 YouTube video showed Adnan praising and encouraging suicide bombings: "Who among you will carry the next explosive belt? Who among you will fire the next bullets? Who among you will have his body parts blown all over?” In May 2023, Adnan died in prison after refusing medical treatment during a hunger strike.

On January 27, 2016, Alam posted a call to action on Facebook for Odeh, writing: “If you haven't already heard, Rasmea's conviction was partially overturned earlier this year. Now she might be granted a new trial! The Rasmea Defense Committee is calling on all of us to mobilize our communities for June 13th! If you're interested in coming, you can fill out the google form in the event description. Please spread the word. #justice4rasmea.”

On May 31, 2016 Alam posted a photo on Facebook of herself and a friend both smiling with Odeh. Alam commented on the photo: “Rasmea and Nesreen...Two people I want to be like one day.”

On August 12, 2016, Alam posted a graphic featuring a photo of Odeh, with the caption “I’M WITH HER.”

On October 14, 2016, Alam shared a gif of Ghassan Khanafani scowling and tweeted: “mood.”

Kanafani was a leading member and spokesperson of the designated terrorist organization the PFLP in its early years.

Kanafani announced the PFLP’s responsibility for the Lod Airport Massacre of May 1972 and was linked to the airport attackers. The attack killed 26 people.

On May 23, 2017, Alam posted on Facebook a picture of herself holding a sign that read: “Desis Support #DignityStrike36 & a free palestine.”

“Dignity Strike” refers to a hunger strike initiated by Marwan Barghouti on April 16, 2017. More than 1,000 Palestinian prisoners participated in the strike – most them also convicted for acts of terrorism. Barghouti headed the Palestinian Authority (PA) terrorist Tanzim force and founded the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. He was sentenced to five consecutive life terms by an Israeli civilian court for some of his crimes, including his role in the Sbarro Cafe bombing

Supporting Anti-Israel Agitators

On March 5, 2019, asU.S. Representative Ilhan Omar was being criticized for a series of statements many found anti-Semitic, Alam posted to Facebook of a graphic of Omar and linked to a website urging people to email their congressional representatives saying “#IStandWillIlhan.”

Ilhan Omar was elected to the U.S. Congress in 2018. In February 2019, top Congressional leaders denounced Omar for tweeting anti-Semitic remarks.Omar has demonized Israel and endorsed BDS. In July 2019, Omar introduced a pro-BDS resolution in the U.S. Congress, which she described as “an opportunity for us to explain why it is we support…the BDS movement.”

On February 12, 2019, Alam tweeted: “really hurts to see ilhan attacked this hard. she did absolutely nothing wrong. frustrated that she needs to apologize for talking about the well supported and proven FACT that AIPAC pays off lawmakers. liberal Zionism is as toxic as conservative and right wing Zionism.”

On July 30, 2018, Alam posted a picture to Instagram of Ahed Tamimi eating an ice cream cone with the caption: “Free all prisoners everywhere 🍦 #freeahedtamimi via @mariambarghouti.”

Ahed Tamimi has a long history of physically attacking Israeli soldiers. Tamimi is the daughter of Bassem Tamimi, who is known for exploiting young children as political props in staged confrontations with Israeli soldiers.

On December 29, 2017, Alam posted a graphic on Instagram depicting Ahed Tamimi with the words “Free Ahed. Free Palestine.”

On May 30, 2016, Alam posted on Facebook “Yes girl!!!” with a link to a video about a Janna Ayyad, who goes by the name Janna Jihad.

Ayyad, is a “journalist” who spoke at a Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) event as part of an international speaking tour. PYM has expressed support for terrorists, promoted incitement to violence and advocated for the dissolution of the State of Israel.

Ayyad is also from the Tamimi family stronghold of Nabi Saleh, and is a relative of Palestinian propagandist Bassem Tamimi. Tamimi is notorious for exploiting young children as political props by manufacturing confrontations with Israeli soldiers who respond to the riots that Tamimi organizes. Ayyad has participated in these confrontations.

On November 3, 2015, Alam shared to Facebook a photo of herself at an SJP Chicago event with Omar Barghouti. The caption read: “Omar Barghouti and Page May with SJP Chicago!...#LoyolaDivest #NUDivest #DePaulDivest.”

Barghouti, the founder of the BDS movement, has claimed [00:04:28] that international law grants everyone with Palestinian ancestry the unqualified right to settle in Israel. Barghouti has also insisted [01:18:21]that the demands of BDS are “inflexible” and “non-negotiable,” and if people object, then “tough.”

Divestment Resolution Sponsor

In March 2015, Alam was the chief sponsor of a divestment resolution calling on Loyola to boycott Israeli corporations. After an initial tie vote, the resolution passed by one vote, 16 to 15, on March 24, 2015.

In March 2015, Loyola Divest, an SJP-run BDS campaign that called on Loyola to divest from Israeli companies, produced a video to promote the resolution, featuring Alam.

A year earlier, in March of 2014, the student body president vetoed a similar divestment resolution and Loyola issued a statement that it would not adopt the student’s divestment proposal if passed.

In July 2015, Alam spoke at a “We are Many” panel event, titled the “Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions: Grassroots Movement Against Israeli Apartheid,” alongside Sid Patel, Mohammad-Abou-Ghazala and Remi Kanazi.

During her speech, Alam insinuated that Loyola President Garanzini was bribed to reject the BDS resolution, stating [00:31:23]: “word also got out that a $15 million donation to a new Judaica Studies program was… being offered to Loyola by a very Zionist donor.”

In June 2014, Alam spoke at a Socialist “We are Many” panel event titled “Against Apartheid: the BDS movement today.” During the event, Alam described [00:23:09] President Garanzini as "ignorant” and intimated that he had been bribed, saying that “he met with several huge donors in the Chicago area,” naming [00:24:28] in particular, Jewish philanthropists such as the Pritzker family and Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Promoting BDS

On August 15, 2019, Alam tweeted: “honestly everyone needs to come out in support of BDS right now. it's just NOT enough to say u support rashida n ilhan. they were denied bc of their association to the BDS movement and so if u dont put urself in it u arent supporting them ur just pretending to…”

On May 31, 2018, Alam tweeted: “Muslims disrupted Rahm Emanuel’s Iftar dinner tonight in downtown Chicago. We refuse to be used as political pawns for the mayor’s racist agenda. #NoCopAcademy #BoycottIsrael #HaramEmanuelIftar2018” Alam shared a video of herself and another activist holding up a banner and screaming [00:00:25] at Emanuel at the event.

Alam then tweeted photos of a letter and she and her fellow activists passed out to the guests in attendance, which asked: “which side of history American Muslims want to be remembered on; the side complicit with a mayor who takes price in repairing Israeli military tanks while volunteering with Zionist occupation forces continuing to colonize Palestine - one who suports the senseless genocide of innocent Palestinians?”

On May 11, 2017, Alam posted a photo to Facebook of a list titled: “Anti-Divestment Speeches.” The list included speeches that were “successful” in helping pass divestment at different universities and provided counterpoints to arguments from anti-BDS students like “BDS:Targeting Jewish community” and “Tying Divestment to BDS."

On January 5, 2017, Alam tweeted to musical artist Princess Nokia: “hey 👋 im a fan from the chi i hung out w u in evanston after ur northwestern show and we talked about steven universe and it would break my ♡ if u were performing in israel :( if u want to DM about it im down.” In March 2017, Princess Nokia canceled her show in Israel due to pressure from BDS activists.

On June 5, 2016, Alam responded to a tweet from New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announcing an executive order against BDS and tweeted: “Lets boycott the state of new york that boycotts people who boycott Israel. Lol.”

On February 16, 2016, Alam tweeted: “I cannot wait till the day all universities have no choice but to divest from Israeli occupation.”

On February 26, 2013, Alam reportedly participated in a “Day of Action” to get Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America-College Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA-CREF) to boycott Israel.

Alam was quoted stating: “Even though we don’t currently have retirement plans with TIAA-CREF, our voices matter. ... We are showing TIAA-CREF that if they want to attract socially responsible investors in 20 years, they must pay attention right now to students across the country calling for divestment from the Israeli occupation.

Loyola SJP Harassing Jewish Students

In November 2015, Loyola SJP was sanctioned with probation and “dialogue training” after the group surrounded and disrupted a Hillel student group tabling for Birthright heritage trips to Israel. Hillel was processing applications for the trip at their table.

Loyola SJP members formed a human wall in a reported attempt to block Hillel’s tabling to advertise the trip and reportedly accosted Hillel students with “a variety of insults,” asking: "How does it feel to be an occupier?" and "How does it feel to be guilty of ethnic cleansing?"

Loyola SJP was later “found responsible” for not adhering to the university's free expression and demonstration policy, was put on probation for the rest of the academic year and was directed to attend “intergroup dialogue training.”

Loyola SJP - Rejecting Dialogue

On July 5 2015, Loyola SJP shared a link to a petition on Facebook in opposition to the Muslim Leadership Initiative (MLI).

MLI "invites North American Muslim leaders to explore how Jews understand Judaism, Israel and North American Jewish identity through a Zionist lens," and to expand their understanding of Jewish “ethics, faith, and practice.” According to MLI founder Imam Abdullah Antepli, “MLI aims to put mainstream North American Jewry in conversation with their Muslim counterparts.”

Loyola SJP’s facebook post denounced the MLI as 'all messed up' and stated that 'it is important we stand against normalization' The 'anti-normalization' campaign seeks to restrict all dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians.

SJP

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
