Supporting Terrorists
On August 2, 2017, Kadi tweeted: “Rasmea Odeh speaks truth to power, whether patriarchy or Zionism (or when detained by Israelis - BOTH). #HonorRasmea.”Odeh was a key military operative with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist organization. In 1969, she masterminded a PFLP supermarket bombing that killed two college students. She also attempted to bomb the British consulate in Jerusalem. Odeh later moved to the United States but was deported to Jordan in 2017 for immigration fraud.
On May 22, 2017, Kadi tweeted: “I'm fasting today in solidarity w/Palestinian prisoners on day 36 of a hunger strike in Israeli jails 4 basic rights. #DignityStrike36.”
The “Dignity Strike” was a hunger strike initiated on April 16, 2017, by Marwan Barghouti, the terrorist who financed the guitar-case bomb used in the Sbarro Cafe bombing. More than 1,000 other Palestinian prisoners participated in the hunger strike, most of whom were also incarcerated for acts of terrorism.
On March 14, 2017, Kadi tweeted: “Never obey the occupation: the legacy of Bassel al-Araj https://electronicintifada.net/content/never-... Beautiful tribute by @budour48 in
@intifada.”
Basel Al Araj was killed in a shoot-out with Israeli troops during an arrest raid. He had been suspected of belonging to a terror cell planning to carry out attacks on Israeli targets. Two M-16 assault rifles and an improvised Carlo-style submachine gun were found inside his home.
Whitewashing Anti-Semitism
On December 9, 2019, Kadi tweeted that Jeremy Corbyn had been smeared as anti-Semitic.Jeremy Corbyn, a British politician and leader of the Labour Party, has repeatedly referenced terror organizations Hamas and Hezbollah as “friends,” shared platforms with extremists and anti-Semites and compared Israel’s government to ISIS.
On March 18, 2019, Kadi tweeted: “Talking about lobbyists using money to impact legislation doesn't seem like a ‘trope’ - seems like real life, regardless of what they're lobbying for (including the Israel Lobby)…” His tweet referred to U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar being denounced by top Congressional leaders for anti-Semitic remarks.
On August 28, 2018, Kadi tweeted an article published in The Guardian in support of Jeremy Corbyn, titled: “Siding with the Palestinian struggle is not antisemitic.”
Glorifying Violent Riots
On March 30, 2018, Kadi tweeted: “...Today, tens of thousands are marching unarmed & Israeli snipers have killed at least 12 so far today alone. Will you amplify their voices today? See #GreatReturnMarch.”Most of the Gazans who died between March 30 and April 6, 2018, were identified as terror operatives who were killed while carrying out terrorist attacks, rioting against IDF forces or attempting to breach the border fence between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
On the same date, Kadi tweeted, referring to a tweet by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) criticizing Hamas for the March of Return: “Here, an organization seen as fighting bigotry in the U.S., cynically dismisses the killing of 15 unarmed Palestinians by Israel as the fault of Hamas.”
On September 29, 2018, Kadi tweeted, citing a comparison of “the unarmed protests of #GreatReturnMarch in #Gaza” to “the refusal to stop marching to the resilience of slaves who rose up in the U.S. #TogetherWeRise.”
Demonizing Israel

On December 6, 2017, Kadi tweeted claiming that Israel “practices white supremacy.”
On August 22, 2016, Kadi tweeted an article that was co-written by Darializa Avila Chevalier, titled: “Black activists owe no apology for charging Israel with genocide.” The article referred to the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) Policy Platform
In August 2016, the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) activist group authored its Policy Platform, which accused Israel of “genocide” and “apartheid.” Black Lives Matter (BLM) was part of M4BL when it issued its platform statement.
The article claimed: “Zionism is racism. Because the very principle of Zionism dictates that Jewish people be granted greater privileges by the State of Israel than its non-Jewish subjects, the result is necessarily a system of apartheid and inequality.”
Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture.
SJP Activism
On April 3, 2018, Kadi spoke about the BDS movement at SJP Georgetown University (SJP GU), as part of the group’s Israel Apartheid Week.In April 2019, Kadi spoke on a panel about BDS for SJP GU’s IAW.
BDS Activism
On July 24, 2021, Kadi tweeted: “.@saribashi on why @benandjerrys leaving Israeli settlements is the baseline & how the US gov't should be following suit:”On July 19, 2021, ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s announced it would stop all product sales in “Occupied Palestinian Territory.” The BDS movement celebrated the decision, calling on the ice cream company to boycott the State of Israel in its entirety. However, company owner Unilever overrode the subsidiary’s decision after multiple US states decided to divest public funds from Unilever.
Kadi’s tweet linked to an article titled” “Ben & Jerry's Is Shunning Israeli Settlements. The U.S. Should Too.”
The article called for the U.S. government to “issue law-based guidance warning U.S. companies of the implications of doing business in Israeli settlements” and to “exclude settlement goods from favorable trade agreements applied to Israeli products.”
On July 30, 2019, Kadi tweeted: “Why Americans Should Support #BDS - Omar Barghouti in @thenation.”
On June 17, 2019, Kadi tweeted promoting an article titled “Please #SkipTheTrip to Israel, Toronto Raptors.”
The Canadian BDS Coalition had launched a “#RaptorsDontGo” campaign and petition calling on Toronto Raptors basketball players to refuse an offer by the team’s co-owner to visit Israel. The trip was cancelled due to scheduling.
On December 15, 2018, Kadi gave a speech promoting BDS at a session titled: “Action toward deeper change: Stories from the movement” during aconference heldby the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC).
On March 2, 2018, Kadi gave a presentation titled: “The Palestinian BDS Campaign: What It Is, How It Is Growing and Why Efforts to Stop It Will Fail” at the Israel Lobby & American Policy Conference 2018 held in Washington. Kadi promoted [00:25:50] and celebrated [00:13:40] BDS
In the question and answer session of the presentation, Kadi described [00:25:02] writing letters challenging companies and gave as an example Costco which he said pulled one or two products off the shelves.
Kadi urged [00:25:22] activists to “start with one store, for example, and ask them why they sell it” and said [00:25:31] he had “had a lot of success, also with small businesses locally.” He also said [00:26:29]: “most of the time, I actually look companies up. So I google them, I look up like who the owner is, and that's how I determine that a product is Israeli.”
When asked [00:29:55] whether only goods from Israeli settlements or all Israeli products should be boycotted, Kadi answered [00:30:17]: “there's tons of commingling, like Israeli companies actually use lots of products from the settlements” and concluded [00:30:37] “the reality is actually that there is not a whole lot of difference.”
In July 2013, Kadi was part of a delegation that delivered a BDS petition by Palestinian-American groups to the New York City office of a non-profit run by artist Alicia Keys. The petition called on Keys to cancel an upcoming concert in Tel Aviv. Keys went on to perform in Tel Aviv as scheduled.
BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
SJP
SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.
The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.
SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.
SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
IFPB
IFPB, known as Eyewitness Palestine since 2018, is an anti-Israel NGO that organizes activist delegations to Israel and the West Bank in order to showcase “the everyday violence of war and [Israeli] occupation.” IFPB’s program features lectures by representatives of anti-Israel groups that openly call for the end of Israel, including the designated terrorist organization the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestinian (PFLP).
