Mary Boerboom

Mary Boerboom [Mary Caitlin Boerboom] was reportedly arrested at the anti-Israel encampment at the University of Florida (UF) in April 2024, which was in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

On April 30, 2024, the Alachua Chronicle reported that Mary Boerboom was arrested and charged with “failure to obey an officer, wearing a mask on public property, and resisting an officer without violence” at the UF encampment. The encampment was held in violation of UF policy. Boerboom was one of nine individuals arrested.

The encampment was part of a national movement on college campuses in 2024, during Israel’s war against Hamas. The encampments were also in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

In an Instagram video posted by one of the organizers, Mary Boerboom could be seen at the protest being handcuffed by the police and wearing a white t-shirt that said: "END THE OCCUPATION NOW."

As of November 2025, Mary Boerboom's LinkedIn profile said she attended UF from 2018 through 2024. UF is located in Gainesville, Florida.
