Marianela D'Aprile participated in at least two Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) events, in 2022 and 2023, in New York City, organized by the city’s DSA chapter (NYC-DSA).
One event was an anti-Israel march in November 2023 in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.
NYC-DSA organizes pro-terror and anti-Israel rallies and disruptions, including an October 8, 2023, rally one day after Hamas killed 1,200 Israelis.
NYC-DSA uses social media to celebrate Hamas by using the 
symbol. In a speech posted to Instagram, co-chair Gustavo Gordillo said [00:01:41]: "They make figures like Hamas and, quote unquote, terrorists into effective enemies...The terror comes from the capitalists and their pawns...the terror comes from the fascist governments and their ICE squads."
NYC-DSA's social media also features activists promoting antisemitism and explicit calls for Israel's destruction. They have called to "dismantle" the entire "U.S. capitalist economy" and have promoted hatred of the police, along with demands that police be abolished and disarmed.
In September 2024, Marianela D'Aprile was reportedly a member of DSA.
As of September 2025, Marianela D'Aprile’s X bio said she was a "writer and socialist," and her personal website said she was "a writer and critic." Her X bio also said she was located in "new york city."
