Overview
Assad Ewais has spread hatred of Jews and incitement to violence on social media. Ewais has also endorsed the stabbing of Jews. On November 9, 2014, Ewais tweeted: “@meme_abb @Innafarah but the yahood [Jews].... OKAY
Ewais also glorified Hamas, demonized Israel and spread homophobic comments.
Ewais once attempted to mask his anti-Semitism as hatred of Israel. On November 16, 2015, Ewais tweeted: “don't get it twisted bud, I don't hate Jews it's Israelis I hate."
However, Ewais’ other tweets reveal his anti-Semitism. For instance, on February 11, 2016, Ewais tweeted: “@nadeennn__ ITS WAS A FRICKEN JEW LMFAOOOOO THAT SCUM BAG CHALB [DOG].”
Ewais was affiliated with Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) in New York (SJP NY).
In March of 2015, Ewais promoted a Muslim Students Association (MSA) at CUNY.
Ewais is also involved with American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) and has participated in and advertised for AMP-coordinated anti-Israel demonstrations.
Ewais is a member of the Facebook Group P.L.O., which describes itself as: “STANDS 4 Palestine Liberation Organization.”
On May 1, 2016 Ewais tweeted: “@ItsRealKing lol no I go to BMCC [Borough of Manhattan Community College].”

Ewais added: "Please everyone in the NY area gather around & go to this counter rally. We need everyone that can make it!"
Spreading Incitement
On September 17, 2015, Ewais advertised an AMP rally on Twitter, scheduled for the following day, titled "Hands Off Al Aqsa." The advertisement claimed that the Al-Aqsa mosque in Israel was “under attack,” and depicted Israeli forces near The Dome of The Rock, on the Temple Mount. A day later, Ewais followed up, tweeting: “#HandsOffAlAqsa Today's protest for the attacks on Al-Aqsa at Time Square, center of Zionism.”
October 2015 saw an upsurge in violence across Israel, incited by Palestinian political and religious leaders. The attacks were sparked and fueled by Palestinian leaders propagating the libel that Israel intended to desecrate the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
On October 4, 2015, Ewais tweeted: “The third Intifada is coming soon I can actually see it. Allah Ma3akum ya Falasteen [Allah is with you O Palestine]
On October 18, 2015 Ewais tweeted a short video of demonstrators at the rally supporting the Intifada in Israel. Demonstrators chanted, in Arabic, “There's no god but Allah & the martyr is beloved by Allah." Ewais commented: “Today's protest in NYC everyone screaming their hearts out #nyc4palestine #FreePalestine.”#nyc4palestine #FreePalestine.”
Glorifying Hamas
On August 28, 2014, Ewais tweeted a montage of four photographs, commenting: “I LITERALLY CANT DECIDE WHICH TO USE FOR MY HEADER I've been constantly changing it. Help? pic.twitter.com/GvWAANNyvV.” The third photo attached depicted armed members of Hamas at prayer, while the fourth photo was a graphic of a Hamas fighter, armed with a Kalashnikov rifle, climbing a flagpole bearing a Palestinian flag and firing into the air.
Anti-Jewish Social Media Posts
On July 14, 2015, Ewais tweeted: "#GrowingUpArab ‘POKEMON IS HARAM BECAUSE OF PIKACHU, HIS NAME HAS "JEW" IN It’."

Hatred of Israel
On November 20, 2015, Ewais responded "Zionist" to a tweet that featured a photo of a pig and the directive: “Quote tweet with what you call this in your language.”
On October 13, 2016, Ewais tweeted: “” along with a short video of someone stepping on a piece of paper that bore the word “Israel” and a Star of David.
On May 5, 2016, Ewais tweeted: “Qus imak wa qus im Israel [F**k your mother and f**k Israel]” with a photo that commemorated an Israeli Air Force (IAF) fly-over at the Auschwitz concentration camp, bearing the caption “#IsraelRetweetedMe watch #Israeli Eagles over #Auschwitz - The #IAF ensuring #NeverAgain http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWFjp-KV7dA …”

On May 20, 2015, Ewais tweeted: “In case you're having a bad day, know that there are some people who still have s**t on their windows.” Along with the tweet, Ewais attached a picture of a apartment building with a Israeli flag in one of the windows.” On August 1st, 2015, Ewais tweetedthe same photo without the flag, adding: “THEY FINALLY TOOK THE S**T OFF!”

On June 27, 2015, Ewais tweeted: “If you support gay people pls I beg unfollow me. I don't wanna see gay stuff on my TL.” Ewais then added: “Don't come at me with "why not be open minded" and all that mish fathy lilmanayich [I don’t have time for fags]. Just unfollow pls” and: “Matter of fact just block me.”
On April 20, 2015, Ewais tweeted: “When I thought couples kissing in public was disgusting I found something even worse. ” adding “Gay guy couples kissing in public like no go itmanyach fe dar abook be a fag in your father's home].” He then tweeted: “@FaisalBH_ LAAAAA I'll pass no thanks let them be gay there not by me pls.”
On March 2, 2015, Ewais tweeted: “@SalamJ_ I swear there's these two gay dudes just like "I love him omg umma make him my MCM omg. He's so..." NIGGA STFU.”

Ewais interacted for years with Dania Salem, a pre-med sophomore studentat Benedictine, who referred to Jews as dogs and donkeys.
On July 9, 2015, Salem tweeted: “FALASTEEN BLADNA, WAL YAHOOD KLABNA. [Palestine is our county and the Jews are our dog].”
On December 17, 2014, Salem tweeted: "Ye5rib bayt al yahood, kol al nas bid3aso 3ala ijri. 7ameeer. [Destroy the homes of the Jews, all of the people trampling my feet. Donkeys]."
Ewais also corresponded on Twitter for years with Canada-based student, Asma Afna — who also has spread hatred of Jews on social media..
On October 1, 2016, Afna was asked on Curious cat "What's a good Jew never heard of one?" Afna replied: “Idk.”
On September 16, 2016, Afna tweeted: "Yel3an el yahood w yel3an kel 7ada bikrah el falasteenyia. [Damn the Jews and damn the ones who have Palestine]"
On July 3, 2016, Afna tweeted: "Yel3an el yahood [May Allah curse the Jews]."
Ewais has also interactedon twitter with Omar Abdalla Silwadi, who opined that religious Jews belong in dumpsters.
On October 12, 2015, Silwadi tweeted a photo of Ultra Orthodox Jews looking into dumpsters, adding: "Right where they belong."
On April 1, 2016, Silwadi tweeted: "Whenever anything bad happens blame it on the yahood [Jews]."

SJP
SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.
The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.
SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.
SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
MSA
The MSA was established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."
The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.
The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
AMP
American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) was founded by UC Berkeley Professor Hatem Bazian as a vehicle to generate mainstream support in the United States for the Palestinian national cause.
On its website, the organization lists Bazian as the chairman of its national board and describes itself as “a national education and grassroots-based organization, dedicated to educating the American public about Palestine and its rich cultural, historical and religious heritage.”
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has accused AMP of promoting “extreme anti-Israel views and has at times provided a platform for anti-Semitism under the guise of educating Americans” about Palestinians. The ADL further stated that AMP is directly involved in campus-based anti-Israel activity through Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).
Prior to founding the AMP in 2006, Dr. Bazian created SJP together with fellow UC Berkeley Professor Snehal Shingavi in 2001. The close working relationship between AMP and SJP has been documented several times over the years by several organizations, including NGO Monitor and StandWithUs.
In addition to providing financial, public relations and legal assistance to SJP, AMP has also been accused of having connections to Hamas. The AMP national board includes former members of both the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP) and Holy Land Foundation (HLF), both of which were found liable for aiding and abetting Hamas. The IAP was founded by Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook, a senior member of Hamas.
