Omar Silwadi
Overview
Omar Silwadi has spread anti-Semitism, promoted incitement and spread hatred of Israel. Silwadi also demonized supporters of Israel and expressed support for an anti-Israel agitator.
On April 22, 2019, Silwadi posted to Facebook that he was employed with the National Football League (NFL). According to his Twitter account, Silwadi was employed at Target in 2015.
On April 22, 2019, Silwadi posted on his Facebook page that he “Started School at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).”
As of December 2019, Silwadi went by the name “Omar Abdalla” on Facebook.
Spreading Anti-Semitism
On October 10, 2019, Silwadi tweeted a video of youth in Hasidic clothing, running in crowds and commented: “Israelis when they see a piece of land.”On January 28, 2019, Silwadi tweeted: “When nobody likes you” and attached a meme of Pepe the frog, with a large hooked nose and a hoodie with the colors of the Israeli flag.
On August 29, 2016, Silwadi tweeted a picture of a journalist with a microphone aimed at a garbage bin and the caption: “who is she interviewing?” Silwadi added: “A yahoodi [Jew].”
On April 1, 2016, Silwadi tweeted: “Whenever anything bad happens blame it on the yahood [Jews].”
On October 26, 2015, Silwadi tweeted: “Falasteen blaadna w al yahood klaabna [Palestine is our land and the Jews are our dogs].”
On October 12, 2015, Silwadi tweeted a photo of ultra Orthodox Jews looking into dumpsters, adding: “Right where they belong.”
On August 22, 2015, Silwadi tweeted: “#yahoodiproblems [Jewish problems]” and attached graphic that said: “A Jewish boy asked his father: ‘Father, can I please borrow 50 dollars?’ The father replied: ‘40 dollars! What on earth do you need 30 dollars for?!’”
On July 15, 2015, Silwadi tweeted: “Abu al yahood [Damn the father of the Jews].”
On July 14, 2015, Silwadi tweeted: “YIKHRAB BAYT AL YAHOOD [DESTROY THE HOME OF THE JEWS].”
On July 11, 2016, Silwadi tweeted: “When in doubt blame the yahood.”
One July 7, 2015, Silwadi tweeted: “They should use a Jew as the subway mascot, nose big enough to be a five dollar foot long.”

That same day, Silwadi tweeted: “Bala yahood bala khara [Without Jews, s**t free].”

Promoting Incitement
On July 16, 2017, Silwadi tweeted: “Is the sky really blue?” in response to a tweet he embedded that asked: “Is the closure of Al-Aqsa a violation of Palestinians religious freedoms?”On July 14, 2017, terrorists murdered two Israeli police officers outside the entrance to the Al-Aqsa compound, reportedly following claims that the Al-Aqsa Mosque was in danger. In response to the terror attack, Israel installed metal detectors and security cameras at the entrance to the holy site, which the authorities later removed, after further rioting and escalation in violence.
Spreading Hatred of Israel
On December 5, 2019, Silwadi tweeted: “All he did was put it where it belongs” and embedded a tweet that said: “Malek Mustafa destroyed an Israeli flag and vandalized Columbus State Community College @cscc_edu. Expose this anti-Semitic student and demand the college hold him accountable for his actions.”
On February 6, 2019, Silwadi tweeted: “Palestinian kid: *holds rock* Israeli soldier:” and attached a photo of Bugs Bunny dressed as a cowboy, lounging on a bar and shooting a gun at an unseen target.
On July 13, 2018, Silwadi tweeted: “Israel” in response to a tweet he embedded that said: “Type garbage with your eyes closed.”
On May 24, 2018, Silwadi tweeted: “Israel be like” and attached a meme of a person representing Israel, saying: “The f**k is this?” while looking at a child labelled: “Human Rights.”
On February 8, 2017, Silwadi tweeted: “Israel” in response to a tweet he embedded that said: “type ‘trash’ with your eyes closed.”
On January 15, 2017, Silwadi tweeted a picture of a journalist with a microphone, and the caption “who is she interviewing?” and added: “An Israeli.”
On November 30, 2016, Silwadi tweeted: “Look at that Israeli flag blowing in the wind.” The tweet was accompanied by a picture of a flag featuring a poop emoji.
On October, 30, 2016, Silwadi tweeted a picture of himself in the bathroom, with the toilet bowl circled, adding: “Israel always trying to ruin my pictures.” Silwadi had tweeted a similar picture of himself with a urinal on August 25, 2015, adding: “Selfies with my boy Israel.”
On May 16, 2016, Silwadi tweeted an image of a scientist looking into a microscope, with the caption: “I found a new type of cancer,” above an image of an Israeli flag.
On May 6, 2016, Silwadi tweeted a picture comparing Israel to Nazis.
On April 20, 2016, Silwadi tweeted a picture of toilet paper with the Israeli flag printed on it, with the caption: “Right where it belongs.” Silwadi earlier tweeted the same image, as well as a picture of the Israeli flag stuffed into a toilet bowl.
On October 3, 2015, Silwadi tweeted a graphic of an Israeli flag next to a Palestinian flag, with a bottle of laundry detergent in the middle of the words: “Before” and “After”, and the caption: “Tide, Takes the s**t right out.”
On August 21, 2015, Silwadi tweeted: “May Allah destroy the illegitimate state of Israel.”
On July 11, 2015, Silwadi tweeted: “Israel created Hamas btw.”
On July 3, 2015, Silwadi tweeted: “#NothingMoreAmericanThan than being against international terrorism but supporting a terrorist state in Israel.”

Demonizing Supporters of Israel
On February 18, 2017, Silwadi tweeted: “Its a true fact that if you support Israel you're a hoe.”On August 10, 2016, Silwadi tweeted: “When somebody mentions ‘Israel’” and included an image of a stick figure holding a gun and the caption, translated from Arabic: “You are required to die.”
On October 18, 2015, Silwadi tweeted a photo of American entertainer Miley Cyrus decked out in a Star of David, adding: “When trash meets trash.”
On July 31, 2015, Silwadi tweeted: “Zionists are the definition of sharameet [whores].”
On the same day, Silwadi tweeted: “F**k Zionists.”
On July 26, 2015, Silwadi tweeted: “Words can't explain how much I hate zionists.”
On the same day, Silwadi tweeted: “My parents raised me not to hate anyone, but then I remembered there's a such thing as a Zionist.”
On June 11, 2015, Silwadi tweeted: “to the Kurds that support Israel, f**k you, yall ain't s**t.”
Supporting An Anti-Israel Agitator
On July 20, 2018, Silwadi tweeted: “We love a woke King” and attached a NowThis tweet and video of IfNotNow (INN) activist Elon Glickman disrupting and then taking part in an INN-staged walk-off from a Birthright Israel trip.Birthright Israel is a heritage trip to Israel for Jewish young adults from across the world.
In the video Silwadi tweeted, Glickman likened [00:00:01] visiting Israel on Birthright to “going to the Jim Crow South during segregation.”
On July 15, 2018, Glickman was one of several INN activists who staged a walk-out in protest from a Birthright Israel trip.
