Mapheze Saleh

Mapheze Saleh [Mapheze Ahmad Yousef], the daughter of a senior Hamas official, is pursuing a master's degree at Georgetown University. Mapheze Salah has worked for Hamas, expressed support for Hamas terrorism and called for Israel's destruction.

Saleh's activities occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, called “Swords of Iron.” Israel launched the war after a series of Hamas terror attacks and war crimes against Israeli civilians, including mass murder, torture, rape, beheadings and kidnappings, which were executed on October 7, 2023. The terror attacks left approximately 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded.

Saleh is the daughter of Ahmed Yousef, who reportedly served as a senior adviser to the Hamas Foreign Ministry in 2008 and the "Foreign Ministry director-general" of Hamas in 2010. Electronic Intifada, an anti-Israel news website, reported that Yousef was a "top political advisor" to Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in 2008.

In February 2025, the Daily Mail reported that Yousef was "the director of the U.S.-based Islamic think tank the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR)," which has been "considered a front" for Hamas in America.

As of March 2025, Saleh's bio page on the Georgetown University (Georgetown) website said she was studying for a master's degree in Arab studies, slated to graduate in 2026. The page also said she worked as as a researcher at the Qatar Embassy in New Delhi, India, and as a contributing writer for the anti-Israel media outlets Middle East Monitor and Al Jazeera.

As of March 2025, Saleh's Georgetown bio page also said that Saleh worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas. In February 2025, the National Review reported that Saleh had "served with the Hamas government’s Committee to Break the Siege in Gaza," which was chaired by her father, Ahmed Yousef.

As of the same date, Saleh's Facebook page said she was from Gaza City.

Saleh is married to Badar Khan Suri, who expressed support for Hamas terrorism, denied the group's October 7, 2023, terror acts and spread anti-Semitism. As of March 2025, Suri had been listed on Georgetown's website as a "Postdoctoral Fellow at the Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding."

Saleh's first name is sometimes transliterated as "Maphaz."

Georgetown is located in Washington, D.C.
