Laura Albast participated in the 2024 People’s Conference for Palestine, a pro-terror event held to plan America’s destruction from within.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

The People's Conference for Palestine in 2024 and 2025 were held in Detroit, Michigan. Its website says: "Gaza is the compass!...Zionism and imperialism [U.S.] are waging a continuous genocide on Gaza, and we, the people of the world, will fight at every turn to reject it." After years of accusing Israel of "genocide," activists kept on promoting this "blood libel" on October 8, 2023.

As of June 2026, Laura Albast's LinkedIn said she was the editor-at-large at the Institute for Palestine Studies (IPS), which is located in Washington, D.C.

In April 2022, the Doha News reported that Laura Albast "grew up in the Yarmouk refugee camp in Syria."
