Laila Shaikh
Laila Shaikh expressed support for Hamas terrorism, spread hatred of Zionism and engaged in anti-Israel activism as the president of an anti-Israel student group.
Shaikh is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Shaikh's anti-Israel activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.
As of October 2023, Shaikh was listed as the founder and president of the anti-Israel campus group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter at the University of Cincinnati (UC) (SJP UC).
In 2022, Shaikh was an activist with the anti-Israel organization Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) chapter in Cincinnati, Ohio.
As of July 2025, Shaikh's LinkedIn profile said she served as the "spiritual chair" of the anti-Israel campus group Muslim Student Association (MSA) chapter at UC (UC MSA), while in college.
Also as of July 2025, Shaikh's LinkedIn said she graduated from UC with a bachelor's degree in international relations and affairs in May 2025.
