Hannah Waters participated in at least one anti-Israel event in New York City in 2024. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) chapter in the city (NYC-DSA) organized the event.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

NYC-DSA is an anti-American and anti-Israel activist group. It celebrated the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023, by holding a rally the next day.

As of October 2025, Hannah Waters’s LinkedIn profile said she worked as a senior biology editor at Quanta Magazine and was located in Brooklyn, New York.
