Fred Hampton Jr.

Fred Hampton Jr. [Alfred Johnson] spoke at a pro-Hamas encampment at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) in April 2024 during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists, launched after the October 7, 2023 terror attacks.

In 1993, Hampton was sentenced to 18 years in prison for arson that the judge called “an act of terrorism."

As of April 2024, Hampton served [00:00:34] as the international chair of the Black Panther Party Cubs.

The Black Panther Party (BPP) was a revolutionary Marxist political organization founded by Bobby Seale and Huey Newton in 1966. BPP advocated the use of violence and guerilla tactics to overthrow the U.S. government. BPP members were involved in many fatal firefights with police; in 1967, Newton allegedly killed police officer John Frey.

As of May 2025, Hampton's LinkedIn profile said he was also the chair of the Prisoners of Conscience Committee (POCC/BPPC).

As of the same date, Hampton's Facebook page said he was located in Chicago, Illinois.

On April 27, 2024, during Israel's war against Hamas terrorists,The Daily Pennsylvanian reported that Hampton spoke at the pro-Hamas encampment at Penn the previous day, "engaging in a 'free them all' call-and-response chant with the audience."

On April 26, 2024, Hampton posted on Facebook a video of his speech at the Penn encampment, in which he said [00:06:17]: "We gotta connect, we gotta connect the case in what is happening in Palestine to the streets of Chicago. What's the call!? Free them all! Power to the people, free them all!"

The encampment was one of about 200 anti-Israel college encampments set up in North America, and over 20 globally, in the spring of 2024. The first began on April 17, 2024, at Columbia University. Protesters harassed Jewish students, blocked Jews from campus facilities and used anti-Semitic language in their activism. They also promoted BDS and protested Israel’s war against Hamas, launched after Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.
