On May 18, 2024, PCC held an anti-Israel protest on "Nakba Day" at Philadelphia City Hall.
Palestinians and anti-Israel activists commemorate the “Nakba Day” on May 15, corresponding to the day following Israel’s declaration of statehood in 1948. Palestinians coined the term "nakba," Arabic for "catastrophe,” to draw a comparison with the Holocaust, known in Hebrew as the Shoah, meaning “catastrophe.”
At the rally, Ethan Quinn wore an RCA shirt and held a sign calling for a "WORLDWIDE INTIFADA."
The term “intifada” translates from Arabic as “uprising” or “insurrection” and carries the connotation of terrorist violence, including suicide bombings, hijackings, shootings and stabbings.
