Darren King
Overview
Darren King is a postdoc associate who ripped down dozens of posters raising awareness of Israeli civilians kidnapped by Hamas terrorists. The November 2023 incident occurred on the New York University (NYU) campus in New York, New York.
Hamas kidnapped the civilians, including women and children, during a series of terror attacks and war crimes that left about 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded. Hamas executed the terror attacks on October 7, 2023. Their other war crimes included mass murder, torture, rape and beheadings.
Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron.”
Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 7] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.
As of November 2023, King was listed on NYU’s website as a “Post Doctoral Associate” at NYU’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences (CIMS). The NYU website also listed him as “Courant (Researchers).”
As of the same date, King was listed on the CIMS website as an “NSF [National Science Foundation] Postdoctoral Associate” for the 2022-2023 academic year.
In December 2020, King posted a personal resume online that said he anticipated graduating from the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) with a Ph.D. in Mathematics in 2021.
