On October 19, 2023, SJP Pitt and other anti-Israel groups held a pro-terror and anti-American protest in Pittsburgh. The Instagram post promoting the event included messaging that called for Israel's destruction.
At least one speaker led chants calling for Israel's destruction and when he later spread hatred of America, the crowd cheered. The same speaker also equated Israel with Nazi Germany, a modern form of anti-Semitism. Speakers also often accused Israel of "genocide" in its war against Hamas in Gaza.
At different times during the rally, speakers honored terrorists, including Hamas terrorists in Gaza. One SJP activist memorialized Ghassan Kanafani, who was the spokesman for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terror group. When protesters marched at the end of the rally, they chanted: "Justice is our demand! No peace on stolen land!"
