Allahidin Rashed

Overview

Allahidin Rashed [Allahidin J. Rashed] has promoted Holocaust denial, praised Hitler, called for violence, spread anti-Semitism and expressed support for terrorists. Rashed has also promoted hatred of Israelis and Israel, as well as the police and America

Rashed helped burn [00:24:58] an Israeli flag in 2021 while engaging in activism with Within Our Lifetime (WOL), an anti-Israel activist group in New York City founded by Nerdeen Kiswani.

Until February 2018, WOL was known as a chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), going by NYC SJP. WOL’s “Points of Unity” states: “We defend the right of Palestinians as colonized people to resist the zionist occupation by any means necessary.”

In 2015, Rashed tweeted that he was a student at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri C). In September 2015, Rashed tweeted: “When you were born to be a ninja but your mom made you go to school for a business degree instead.”

On October 19, 2016, Rashed tweeted that he was a relative of Raheeq Yousef, a terrorist who had been shot that day while advancing on Israeli Border Patrol officers. Yousef had reportedly refused the officers’ orders to stop, after which she drew a knife on them.

In December 2022, Rashed was listed as an agent for Wireless Bros, Inc. in Barberton, Ohio.

As of the same date, Rashed used the handle “@FreeLaddin” and username “.” on Twitter. He also used the handle “@freeladdin” on Instagram.

For more information, see the Canary Mission page Within Our Lifetime: The NYC Org Inciting Its Activists To Violence.

Holocaust Denial

On April 14, 2013, Rashed tweeted: “The ‘holocaust’ never really happened.”

On April 15, 2013, Rashed tweeted: “Only 500,000 Jews lived in Germany before the ‘holocaust’ how could he kill 6 million of them ? Math don't add up.”

On July 10, 2014, Rashed tweeted: “The Holocaust numbers were highly, HIGHLY exaggerated btw.”

Praising Hitler

On December 17, 2015, Rashed tweeted: “Hitler may have killed all those people but he still loved HIS people and tried to keep Germany safe. He was a great leader TBH [to be honest].”

On March 17, 2015, Rashed tweeted: “Hitler may have been evil in the eyes of the world but his people loved him. Women would faint when they heard him give speeches.”

On the same thread, Rashed tweeted: “just the western world hated him [Hitler] because they couldn't overthrow him…”

On January 10, 2015, Rashed tweeted: “Hitler was misunderstood.”

Calling for Violence

On May 10, 2021, Rashed tweeted: “We aren’t praying for peace no more, we’re ready for battle. You can try and fight violence with peace signs if you want to but for Palestinians that time is over. It’s time to protect our families, land, and holy mosques by any means.”

In May 2021, violent clashes broke out between Palestinian worshippers and Israeli police at the Al-Aqsa compound following claims the Al-Aqsa Mosque was in danger. The subsequent incitement was a leading factor in Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists firing over 4,300 rockets from Gaza into Israel later that month. Israel responded by launching “Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW),” carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza. Allegations of Jews “threatening” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque have been a traditional pretext for Arab attacks on Jews predating the State of Israel.

Also on May 10, 2021, Rashed tweeted: “May they be met with epic force and greeted with death, Ameen.” His tweet referred to a video of Israeli Jews walking through Jerusalem holding Israeli flags.

On April 30, 2015, Rashed tweeted: “An uprising against the police and government is long overdue. These little riots and protests are nothing it needs to be a nation uprising.”

On July 20, 2014, Rashed tweeted: “ALLAHU AKBAR [God is the greatest]!!!!!...An Israeli soldier was captured by Hamas…”

In the same thread, Rashed added: ‘hope they torture the s**t outta him.”

That same day, Israeli soldier Oron Shaul was caught and killed in an ambush, by Hamas militants in Gaza. Hamas then mocked Israeli grief over Shaul’s loss and held Shaul’s body for ransom.

Anti-Semitism

On October 12, 2022, Rashed tweeted in support of anti-Semitic comments made by rapper Kanye West: “Listen to what Kanye is saying about the Jews and tell me what he’s said that’s wrong though… ‘Jews control the media’ ‘Jews control banks’ ‘Kushner brokered a deal between Palestine and Israel because of money’ I mean, realistically what did he say that wasn’t true?”

The assertion that Jews control the media has been traced to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, an anti-Semitic fabricated text that depicts wealthy Jews conspiring to take over the world.

In the fall of 2022, American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, sparked controversy after tweeting that he would go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.” Ye also promoted [00:01:02, 00:04:37] anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and argued he was not anti-Semitic because “black people are actually Jew also.” In the wake of his remarks, Ye lost brand deals with companies such as Adidas, Gap and Foot Locker.

On May 28, 2021 Rashed wrote on Instagram: “Jesus was a Palestinian man born in Bethlehem. That means if he was born today, Israel would have killed him too. And if you disagree just remember, same people that killed him are the ones killing Palestinians today 🤷🏽‍♂️🤐.”

The accusation that the Jews are the killers of Jesus has historically fed into Christian anti-Semitism.

Rashed’s post included a photo of him participating in a May 18 WOL protest holding a red smoke canister and a sign that said: “Jesus 🇵🇸 is 🇵🇸 Palestinian.”

For more information on the WOL protest, see the section below titled: “May 18, 2021 - Manhattan WOL Rally.”

On November 14, 2019, Rashed tweeted: “The most powerful weapon Israel has is its control over the media…

On March 21, 2016, Rashed tweeted: “Israel and the zionists around the world are going to make sure Hillary Clinton is the next president of the United States.”

On July 9, 2015, Rashed tweeted: “...Zionists are modern day Nazis and ‘Israel’ is modern day Nazi-Germany.”

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.

On June 9, 2015, Rashed tweeted: “The cavs [Cleveland Cavaliers] are winning the championship this year because [Head Coach] David Blatt is a Zionist and zionists run everything.”

On March 21, 2015, Rashed tweeted: “Israeli citizens are something similar to Nazis.. The CITIZENS, not even just the army.”

On July 21, 2013, Rashed tweeted: “The one thing we can all agree on though is we all dislike Jews😁.”

Terror Support (Hamas, PFLP)

On July 16, 2014, during Operation Protective Edge (OPE), Rashed tweeted: “To say Hamas is wrong for defending itself is to say the woman who was raped is wrong for resisting and attacking the man trying to rape her.”

Israel commenced OPE in July 2014 to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.

Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 2] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.

On July 23, 2014, Rashed tweeted: “...Hamas is the resistance. They just try to defend Palestine and want Israel out and are called ‘terrorists’ for not obeying.”

On August 20, 2014, Rashed tweeted: “Hamas is gonna come out stronger than ever now. May god be with them.”

On January 29, 2015, Rashed posted on Facebook a photo of a keffiyeh-masked Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist holding an AK-47 assault rifle.

The PFLP is dedicated to the violent destruction of Israel. It is designated as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO) by the United States. The EU, Canada, the Gulf Cooperation Council, Australia and Israel also list it as a terror group due to its history of carrying out assassinations, suicide bombings, hijackings and multiple murders.

On April 9, 2017, Rashed tweeted: “ ‘Revolt, for you have nothing to lose but your chains.’ —George Habash.”

George Habash, who has been called“the godfather of Middle East terrorism,” founded the terrorist organization the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). In 1970, Habash was the mastermind behind the hijacking of four Western airliners known as the Dawson Field hijackings. In 1972, the PFLP collaborated with Japanese Red Army terrorists to massacre 24 people at Israel's Lod International Airport (renamed Ben Gurion International Airport).

On November 11, 2017, Rashed tweeted: “13 years ago today Palestine's greatest soldier, & one of the greatest world leaders ever, was assassinated. Allah yarhama [May God have mercy on him], RIP Yasser Arafat🇵🇸🙏🏼 .”

Yasser Arafat was the former leader of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and is known by some as the “father of modern terrorism.” Arafat reportedly told Arab diplomats in a secret meeting in 1996: "We will make life unbearable for Jews by psychological warfare and population explosion. Jews will not want to live among Arabs. I have no use for Jews. They are and remain Jews."

On May 11, 2021, Rashed posted on Instagram a snippet of a documentary containing an interview with PFLP spokesman Ghassan Kanafani by Richard Carleton, from Beirut in 1970.

In the interview, Kanafani defended the PFLP’s terror activities and absolute refusal to talk about peace. Rashed wrote: “...There is no compromising when it comes to human rights. And for Palestinians, we would rather die than to let them take it.”

Kanafani was a leading member and spokesperson for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) during the terrorist organization’s early years. Kanafani announced the PFLP’s responsibility for the Lod Airport Massacre of May 1972 and was linked to the airport attackers. The attack killed 26 people and wounded 80 others.

Hatred of Israelis and Israel

On August 3, 2014, Rashed tweeted: “I hope all the Israeli soldiers catch the meanest aids virus ever.”

On July 19, 2015, Rashed tweeted: “ISIS is Israeli created and Israeli operated. Don't let them lie to you.”

On September 17, 2016, Rashed tweeted: “Israel just helped Al-Qaeda in the Golan Heights as America helped ISIS in Syria.. I mean it's not to hard to see who funds these terrorists.”

On May 10, 2021, Rashed tweeted: “I pray so hard for every single person in this crowd to suffer the most intense, extreme punishments when they’re cast away to hell.” Rashed’s tweet referred to a video he shared showing Israeli Jews dancing with flags next to the Western Wall on Jerusalem Day

In May 2021, social media erupted with videos allegedly showing Jews dancing and cheering while a tree burned near the Al-Aqsa mosque. The fire was reportedly caused by Palestinian rioters shooting fireworks at Israeli police. Jews had gathered at the Western Wall in honor of Jerusalem Day, an Israeli national holiday, with no connection to the incident.

Hatred of the Police

On June 21, 2017, Rashed tweeted: “Whoever the racist wh*te people aren't harassing or killing, the police are. We don't stand a chance unless we fight back.”

On January 12, 2019, Rashed tweeted: “For some reason I don't feel nothing when they knock a cop off.” His tweet was in response to a post that reported the death of a female police officer murdered while responding to a report of a three-car collision.

On June 2, 2020, Rashed tweeted: “They said the world would end when pigs fly…” in response to a post that included graphic video of a uniformed police sergeant being murdered in a car ramming attack at the intersection of Walton Avenue and East 170th Street in Tremont, the West Bronx, New York.

The term “pigs” is often used as a derogatory slang reference to police officers.

Hatred of America

On July 17, 2014, Rashed tweeted: “A Malaysia airplane was shot down today...
They'll say it's terrorists but it's prob America and Israel's plan to distract the world.”

On the same day, Rashed tweeted: “America and Israel are the most wealthy, high-powered terrorists in the world and no one realizes this.”

On October 14, 2015, Rashed tweeted: “The difference between America and Israel is one actually pretends to care a little when they kill innocent people, the other encourages it.”

On August 6, 2016, Rashed tweeted: “Only thing Israel winning Gold in at the #RioOlympics2016 is stealing culture & killing people.. America a close 2nd.”

On June 6, 2017, Rashed tweeted: “Israel, Saudi Arabia, and America... 3-headed monster that destroyed the entire Middle East by themselves.”

May 18, 2021 - Manhattan WOL Rally

Rashed helped [00:24:58] burn an Israeli flag in a May 18 WOL-organized protest. Rashed could be seen [00:24:45] wearing a red baseball cap on top of a black and white-patterned keffiyeh wrapped around his face and his shoulders. The protest was titled “Emergency Rally to Defend Palestine” and was held at the Israeli consulate in Manhattan.

Rashed also tweeted a photo of himself at the protest holding a red smoke canister and a sign that said: “Jesus 🇵🇸 is 🇵🇸 Palestinian.” Rashed later appeared [00:04:38] holding the same sign on top of a truck with other anti-Israel activists that carried Palestinian flags and chanted [00:04:30]: “Long Live the Intifada! Intifada, Intifada!”

Kiswani, Rashed and other activists, stood on top of the lion statues outside of the New York Public Library. Rashed set off a blue smoke canister, while the other activists waved Palestinian flags.

Rashed participated [00:24:58] in the burning of an Israeli flag at the protest. As another anti-Israel activist lit an Israeli flag on fire, the crowd around him chanted [00:25:03]: “Burn that s**t! Burn that s**t!” As part of the flag was on fire, demonstrators tore apart the remainder of the flag. When they finished tearing it apart and and burning it, they threw it on the ground and stomped on it repeatedly. Rashed could be seen [00:24:45] wearing a black t-shirt, blue pants and a red baseball cap with a keffiyeh wrapped around his face and his shoulders.

May 15, 2022 - WOL Bay Ridge Brooklyn

Rashed participated in a May 15, 2022 WOL protest in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The protest was titled: “Nakba 74.” Rashed appeared at the protest holding a sign that said: “Less Policing Women’s Bodies. More Policing Israeli War Crimes.”

The term “Nakba” is generally translated as “catastrophe” in Arabic, referring to the outcome of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It is a term often used to delegitimize the creation of the State of Israel by defining it as a catastrophe.

At the protest, WOL leader Nerdeen Kiswani addressed the crowd and said [00:01:29]: “The Israeli Zionist colonizer knows no bounds. They squat on our land and kill our people because they have nothing less than complete genocide and annihilation planned for the Palestinian people.”

Also at the rally, anti-Israel agitator Amin Husain addressed the crowd and said [slide 9]: “The NYPD [New York City Police Department] is an occupying force in our city, on this land, so fighting for Palestine has to also mean f**k the police…”

On June 28, 2022 Rashed tweeted a picture of himself at the May 15, 2022 rally, writing: “Free Palestine Free da Womens.”

WOL

Within Our Lifetime (WOL) is a pro-terror activist group in New York City dedicated to Israel’s destruction within the lifetime of its members.

Acts of violence and physical confrontations with police have frequently occurred at WOL protests and marches. WOL uses harassment campaigns to target pro-Israel organizations or companies that do business with Israel, making it a part of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Multiple activists who have either burned Israeli flags or led chants at WOL rallies were later jailed for violent anti-Semitic hate crimes, including Saadah Masoud and Waseem Awawdeh. In Masoud’s case, he received 18 months in jail for an anti-Semitic assault at an April 2022 WOL rally and two other anti-Semitic assaults in 2021.

WOL promotes “resistance” against Israel “by any means necessary,” calls to “Globalize the Intifada,” spreads incitement and idolizes [00:34:06] Palestinian terrorists like Leila Khaled and others at rallies and online events.

WOL was founded by Nerdeen Kiswani and Dan Cione in 2015. Kiswani is a frequent speaker at WOL rallies where she has promoted terrorism against Israelis and called for the death of Zionists. She has also provided support for Masoud and other activists following their arrests.

WOL began as the New York City chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), going by NYC SJP, but changed its name in 2018. The group is not found to be registered in any U.S. state as a nonprofit organization under its official name. Nor is there any listing for WOL under its name on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website for tax-exempt organizations.
